Chapter 4682: Inheriting A Heaven-Tier Spirit Bloodline
Chapter 4682: Inheriting A Heaven-Tier Spirit Bloodline
Davis rubbed Myria’s back, comforting her silently.
He didn’t blame her for not knowing much of the stuff since even the supreme geniuses from the Upper Realms were barred from knowing much. If it weren’t for this Shard World opening to all, Sovereigns might not have come to learn the knowledge of Supreme Primarchs and Absolute Primarchs, much less even consider the existence of something similar to the True Deity Stage in the Second Layer.
Even in the Heavenshade Clan of the Azure Dragon Upper Realm, he suspected only the most powerful supreme geniuses like Ralaza Heavenshade and her brother were allowed to know such matters.
Davis had his reasons to believe so, a simple one being resource distribution.
Not every supreme genius aiming to reach the apex can become Supreme Primarch. The amount of resources required to grow in it should be astronomical. For something as majestic as an Absolute Primarch...
Davis inwardly sneered. He figured that they could barely produce one in hundreds of millions of years and that existence ended up being as their Realm Master. Upper Realms had billions of years of history, so he didn’t doubt multiple existences who have seemingly broken through their shackles to enter the next stage and ascend or die in some galaxy war, or simply both.
Therefore, major powers would simply bury this information in secrecy, only revealing it to those who were worthy enough in terms of talent, prowess, background, and status.
It was in line with the training methods Davis had heard from the Atlas Family’s supreme genius, an Empyrean, who had slightly mastered Destruction Laws.
A major power or a supreme power simply had too many geniuses to reveal all these things to them. Otherwise, there would be plenty of chaos within their own power, internal strife at an all-time high.
When those geniuses who didn’t get to know about them after they entered the Primarch Stage, it would already be too late to turn back, cementing them as powerful forces in the power but not significant.
They would have no choice other than to be satisfied with their status quo.
Myria cast a despondent smile, "Then the hidden ’official’ knowledge that states that there should only be a set number of Exalt Grade Cultivation Manuals should also be fake."
"Naturally. Hmph, I also suspect the Upper Realm ruling powers also possess ’afterstage’ cultivation manuals. That’s why they get to remain as ruling powers. Perhaps, the ninety-six Exalt Grade Cultivation Manuals you mentioned might point to the number of ’afterstage’ cultivation manuals in the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy."
"Makes sense..." Myria nodded, "At least, sixteen afterstage cultivation manuals are in the Second Layer. The rest should mostly be in the Greater Realm, and this number doesn’t represent the number of afterstage cultivation manuals in the other galaxies. I wonder if the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm has some, keeping them as their utmost secrets."
"Yotan’s reputation in the Abandoned Immortal Lower Realm is great, but she is just an outsider in the sect, a mercenary leader who fulfills missions. I doubt she could enter that far into the sect without destroying ties with me. Even acting like having a fallout with me would be useless. Besides, I doubt they have ’afterstage’ cultivation manuals. They would be too weak to defend them in case of collusion from other powers who seek to grow stronger even at the risk of mutiny or a betrayal of the human race."
Myria nodded, "If they do have a higher realm branch, then they should be authorized to store some foundational and important cultivation manuals for the preservation of the human race in case of extinction. Alternatively, these powerful and karmic burdened manuals could be in Uncle’s safekeeping."
"Indeed."
Davis agreed. They continued discussing the disparity of the information they previously thought was true. It was also impossible for Awudan to know everything about the Second Layer Limit, much less the Celestial Transcendent Galaxy that he had never visited, so they did not use his thoughts to form their decisions.
They needed to first investigate, capture some supreme geniuses, and verify so that they could verify from multiple accounts.
They had Layla Mistwalker, Lyra Mistwalker, and the Heavenshade brother and sister to verify more info. As juniors, they should still be unaware of the layer limit and the existence of true deities, but their guess game could be on par with most top-tier supreme geniuses who had set their sights on becoming an Absolute Primarch. It would be good to exchange information with him.
*Bzzz!~*
While they were discussing, the tiny star suspended above Niera’s head flickered erratically. Its earlier calm pulsations twisted into erratic, fierce waves of radiance. The light within it churned like a storming sun, layer after layer peeling back as if it were shedding its old self.
The air grew scorching. The space surrounding her began to ripple like a mirage, each distortion carrying a faint cry of a phoenix, yet it was distant but also profound, echoing from the very depths of the spirit’s special nature.
For a spirit to mimic a phoenix’s true form was not a simple matter.
Myria instinctively raised her hand, shielding her eyes as the light intensified to a point that could sear even an Empyrean’s gaze.
"She’s fully merging with the spirit bloodline finally..." she uttered, elation evident in her voice.
But Davis watched Myria with a profound look.
Not once did she complain about having to watch Niera. If it were Mingzhi or others, he knew they would be complaining or even creating a sob story out of it, which was a normal thing to do, but Myria was completely mature and responsible for the situation, which she accepted. He was deeply moved by her unbending stature.
A few seconds later, Davis turned to look at Niera.
The Empyrean Solar Phoenix Spirit had sacrificed its prowess to conjure this blood essence. That was like sacrificing one’s own cultivation to gift it to someone else, which was a method Davis hadn’t come across yet but imagined existed. For certain spirits, such a thing came out as an instinct.
Davis didn’t doubt such a technique could exist since the Immortal Cultivation was made after studying magical beasts and spirits. However, he also guessed that they must be locked behind powerful sect walls, and even if it was behind sect walls, it would be flawed.
Otherwise, he could see an entire market or hierarchy made from the bestowal of cultivation through special means already existing.
He could feel the fiery heaven and earth energy bending, drawn toward Niera like worshipers before a deity. Fire Laws and Light laws, even faint threads of light and destruction converged into her. The sky trembled; the molten clouds high above began to rotate around her like a titanic vortex of reverence, making it a scene from an apocalypse.
Within that endless golden inferno, Niera’s body began to ascend.
Her hair fluttered wildly, changing hue, blonde fading to gold, gold igniting into a dazzling corona of crimson-gold brilliance. Her eyes opened, revealing twin orbs of pure sunlight. The aura that poured out from her was no longer just that of a human.
Her figure was engulfed in radiant flames, yet her silhouette remained serene, almost sacred. Four golden wings unfurled behind her, each spanning wider than before, every feather etched with runes of solar authority.
And above her head, the small star shattered into motes of light that cascaded down like divine rain.
Each droplet sank into her body, fusing with her bloodline. The sound was like countless bells ringing across the heavens, a melody that made even the soul tremble.
The Empyrean Solar Phoenix Spirit’s towering manifestation began to blur, its majestic form dissolving into waves of pure light that spiraled into Niera’s heart.
"Incredible..." Myria whispered. "She’s... completely inheriting the spirit blood, coming to possess a pure spirit bloodline..."
A thunderous boom followed as Niera’s aura erupted outward.
A tide of solar flames spread through the region, igniting the skies themselves with a resplendent and destructive glow. Mountains far in the distance glowed molten for a brief instant before the power retracted, restrained by her Will.
Niera’s crimson-white robes fluttered, untouched by the conflagration. The golden brilliance dimmed slightly as she descended gracefully, her presence now calm.
Her beauty was ethereal, haughty, and prideful. The faint echo of a phoenix’s cry lingered around her, resonating with her every heartbeat.
Davis stared at her in silence. The oppressive majesty he felt moments ago was now concentrated into this one woman before him. His heart shook, torn between disbelief and elation as he couldn’t recognize that this was his Niera.
She had become incredibly powerful, the density of her aura allowing him to recognize that her base prowess had risen to thirteen levels, reaching what the big three had been previously capable of, perhaps even surpassing their former selves.
Myria exhaled softly, a rare smile touching her lips.
"You did it, Niera," she said in quiet awe, "You have inherited the Empyrean Solar Phoenix Spirit’s spirit bloodline completely..."
*Whoosh~*
Niera threw herself into Davis’s embrace, her shoulders trembling as she didn’t think he had arrived. She had haughtily descended, feeling that she had become powerful, only to see her beloved standing, catching her off guard. Myria’s praise barely registered in her mind.
Her eyes turned moist, and she silently shed tears, causing Davis to be taken aback before he caressed her head, his fingers flowing through her warm, crimson-blonde hair.
He almost mistook his Niera for someone else. She was the same woman who was deeply affectionate and secretly needy.
