Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4531: Dining Inside A Crystal Mine

Chapter 4531: Dining Inside A Crystal Mine

Davis cleared the spatial barrier and summoned a long dining table to sit down. The table itself possessed multiple carved wooden legs while the surface etched with numerous wing patterns. The crystalline background and thick and dense spatial-attributed heaven and earth energy made it all the more fanciful.

He took out the dishes he got from Jiayi Crystalveil and spread them across the table with his soul force.

The tension in the atmosphere instantly left the scene once the exquisite aroma filled the cave.

"This is..." Ulna-Von-Elsa’s expression lit up while her nostrils flared.

She tried to open her eyes, trying to see what they were while she was still being healed.

Myria was honestly surprised it was taking this long to heal her. The karma behind that backlash from trying to view Davis’s forehead mark wasn’t anything ordinary.

’Something is suppressing it from appearing in the world... it must be some kind of suppression from a dimension...’ Myria thought.

Davis also arrived at a similar theory, but that was just one of the many he had. He felt it was either the Reincarnation Dimension or the Dream Dimension that was rumored to oversee karmic ties. The Dream Dimension was also called the Karmic Dimension, after all.

He had heard a bit from it, Tia’s own mouth, but she hadn’t revealed much.

It wouldn’t be anything strange for it to suppress the strange or hidden karma he shared with the so-called Being of Original Sin.

He wanted to know more, but it was a pity that these youths didn’t know more. He moved on, waving his hand as he sat down.

"Enjoy the feast. Don’t hold back."

"Ahh, how can you hide these from us, father? You’re so cruel~"

Eterna’s sapphire eyes shone while she blushed. She leaned her head out lightly and inhaled the exquisite aroma coming from the piping hot meat and other dishes.

"It’s a good thing that the Heavenshades aren’t here or they would take offense," Celestia uttered and dug in, her eyes also shining.

The rest of them also started to eat, their expressions full of satisfaction, before they could even finish them.

"Ulna-Von-Elna, if it is uncomfortable to be in my presence, I’ll conceal myself."

Davis said as he saw the Seraphims look awkward, their gazes moving between him and the dishes. It looked like they wanted to eat, but were still scared of him and perhaps the dishes he served, wondering if it could also make them incur karmic burden.

After all, they were advised to avoid this being with extreme caution.

"That... would be rude of us." Ulna-Von-Elsa spoke up, her voice melodious, "You may be an enigmatic being, but you’re also the father of our friends. We should be reserved and polite."

"Good manners." Davis nodded, "But you don’t need to be so accommodating to my existence, that’s literally scary to someone of your perception."

"No, if we tone down on our senses and suppress the perception of our eyes, we should be able to see your human appearance. It’s just... we never practiced suppressing our perception, so it’s difficult to do so. But it shouldn’t take long since we are good at nearly everything..."

"..." Davis went speechless.

Were they bragging?

Nonetheless, he nodded, "Interesting, does everyone in the Seraphim Race possess such extraordinary perception?"

"No, only we Six-Winged Seraphims are capable of viewing the strangeness in souls. We can also easily identify Soul Physique users."

Evelynn intervened, "Now that we have made some progress in understanding that we are not enemies, I want to know how you three met with my children. What was the reason behind befriending them? Surely, the Seraphim Race wouldn’t like us humans since the human race conquered this galaxy from you."

"That’s the Yera Family that messed up." Knine, the one in the golden armor, answered, "We have separated from them hundreds of billions of years ago. I wanted to ask- how are they living under your rule right now? They’re such a disgrace to the Seraphim Race, but since they have fallen, I suppose it’s only natural that they come under the rule of the race that conquered them. We don’t have any problem with it."

"Honestly," Davis chuckled, "We have no idea since we’re still denizens of the Lower Realms."

"Oh..." Knine was taken aback before he nodded.

It made sense as to why this Anarchic Divergent could survive for this long.

"Why haven’t your family made a move to save them?" Azariel asked, his expression perplexed.

He was also interested in the topic, but didn’t ask before since he felt it to be rude.

"Why would we save them?" Knine’s expression looked amused, "We’re a warrior race with high morals and values. If they have fallen, then so be it. It’s not like they’re being tortured, as we know the ruler of the Celestial Transcendent is a majestic ruler who knows how to differentiate between right and wrong and can bestow mercy and judgment alike. Besides, the Yera Family themselves haven’t asked us to save them. They’re full of vain pride, unlike our family, which has given birth to the most powerful warriors of all time."

Knine chuckled.

One could tell he looked down on them and possessed intense pride in his family.

Zaine, the tidy-looking man, took over, "As for the reason why we befriended them, they saved me from being poisoned to death in a Poison Shard Region. Although we can do anything as long as we have enough time, poison is not three of our forte. Thankfully, Azariel and Viridia helped us clear the poison using methods unknown to us. We also hired them to find a specific poisonous treasure for us so we could heal one of my elders who is ill, and thanks to them, we were able to find it. We’ve been traveling together ever since and became friends naturally."

"Oh, that’s great." Evelynn nodded, her voice pleasantly surprised and full of gratification.

It seemed like her son’s effort to cram himself up in seclusion and study about all kinds of poisonous herbs had been worth it. More than that, she was happier that her children were able to find friends this way.

Myria asked, "What about the Space Swallowing Heavenly Whale?"

"Oh, that- we have repaid Azariel and Viridia for obtaining the poisonous treasure by helping them hunt the space whale, so it’s theirs fully. They were the ones who suggested we hunt it. It was difficult, but we managed to do so by baiting and trapping it inside a spatial sink that acted against its monstrous space-absorbing power. Using the brief moment that its power didn’t act against us, we carved it up nicely."

Zaine’s emerald eyes glowed as he turned to look at Azariel, "Everything was his plan. I must admit that our adventure has become much easier after we started listening to him."

Azariel looked smug while Davis turned to look at him, nodding with pride.

"Don’t worry. It belongs to Mother Stella as we all expect."

"Good."

Azariel said, causing everyone to smile and praise him and Viridia.

The Seraphims were pleasantly surprised, not expecting a bunch of Divergents to be so peaceful and pleasant. It was just as Azariel and Viridia said. They were half-doubtful, but now that they saw with their own eyes, they had a newfound perspective on Divergents.

"That said-" Azariel’s brows raised, and he flashed a superior smile at Davis, "Old man, now that I can harvest Primarch Grade resources, are you still going to reap it all using the tax system as a pretense?"

Davis’s expression twitched.

He had told Azariel to complain after he earned Empyrean Grade resources, but Azariel was now slapping Primarch Grade resources on his face, telling him that he had done something that even he, the great Divine Emperor of Death, hadn’t done yet.
