Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 4530: Sacred Aura Of Reincarnation

Chapter 4530: Sacred Aura Of Reincarnation

Davis and Myria glanced at each other, their expressions solemn.

Outside the sealed space, Evelynn and the others wondered what was going on for Davis to have suddenly blocked them from knowing what was going on.

They looked at each other.

Evelynn opened her mouth, "Trust your father. Unless they hold ill will, they should be safe, and even if they did hold ill will, he will not attack without asking the two of you first."

"..." Azariel and Viridia were worried but nodded.

Inside the space sealed by a layer of purple-black spatial barrier, Davis glanced at the Seraphims, intending to ask more questions.

"Are we the first you have seen in this shape and form?"

"This... I don’t know." Ulna-Von-Elsa shook her head, "There are levels to accessing information from the Heavenborne Archive, and we are not authorized to obtain information of that level. In fact, those who are the same age as us couldn’t even access the Heavenborne Archive, so we are already special within the Seraphim Race. We are supreme warriors of the Seraphim Race, and our prowess isn’t any lower than your... two children..."

Hearing her answer, Davis nodded and went into contemplation.

He understood that they were already best of the best in their Von Family, so even asking others wouldn’t help unless he intruded into their galaxy and asked their elders.

However, would they easily talk?

It was more like they would launch crazy and powerful attacks on him.

Nonetheless, he didn’t pry open more information since he could sense karmic burden falling on them too. More than that, they were trembling like little birds, so he didn’t want to spook them too much and hurt their relationship with his children.

He went back to contemplation, building on what he had learned so far and thinking on the basis that he could be the Being of Original Sin.

’This makes sense as to why my perspective is considered when using Judgment Laws and not the heaven and earth’s perspective, or whatever it is called, but I couldn’t be a primordial soul. It doesn’t make sense in many ways. Not only do I not retain any memories or even a semblance of familiarity with that time, even Fallen Heaven doesn’t recognize anything strange with my soul. It displayed my origin to be from Myria and didn’t go beyond. Could it be that even Fallen Heaven is unworthy of unraveling such mysteries...?’

Right now, the only clues that connected him to the Being of Original Sin were the information from the Heavenborne Archive, the fact that his own usage of Judgment Laws used his perspective to judge, and the terrifying otherworldly Will that occasionally came out on being provoked and refused to submit.

This strange Will matched with the description of the Being of Original Sin, where it was described as a being of universal defiance and was something that bent or tried to bend the Heaven’s Will.

Davis was wary of that Will. He once thought it belonged to some old monster, only a remnant. However, the likelihood that it could be some kind of pure primordial soul birthed from the primordial chaos of the universe sounded a lot more convincing than any of the theories he had for its true origin.

Abruptly, his eyes went wide open.

’This... did this change appear after I got the strange mark on my forehead? Could it be the same for Myria?’

Davis was inwardly shaken. He turned to look at Myria before returning his gaze to the Seraphims.

"Just one more question. Can you three see any kind of mark on us- on our foreheads?"

Ulna-Von-Elsa frowned, "You’re just pitch-black, but I’ll try..."

She focused on looking at Davis’s forehead. There was nothing. She squinted her eyes more and used her soul force, her focus increasing and allowing her to perceive more. Finally, she could see some kind of wisp forming.

"That’s enough!"

Davis forcefully shut her eyes using his soul force, causing Ulna-Von-Elsa to be startled.

Then she realized that she shed blood tears, her eyes going blind suddenly. She shuddered but maintained her calm.

"I saw something form, but I couldn’t make sense of it. However, that white lady’s form mark is much clearer. I couldn’t get to make out the shape of it since I was focusing on you, but Knine and Zaine should be able to help you see what it is."

"There’s no need for that."

Myria spoke in a calm voice.

She raised her hand and tapped her forehead twice, and the layer of concealment on her forehead that nobody noticed dispersed, revealing a golden-white nine-petal lotus. Her appearance suddenly released a sacred aura of reincarnation, making Knine and Zaine bow their heads respectfully.

They were not convinced, but if she was the Being of Original Virtue, then she deserves all the respect in the world.

"Anything noticeable about this mark?" She asked.

"We apologize. We have no idea what it is." Zaine shook his head, and so did Knine.

"..."

Meanwhile, Davis frowned.

His mark still refused to come out. With Ulna-Von-Elsa’s reaction, he had further confirmation that it exists, but he still couldn’t get it out using his Will.

Nevertheless, he was inclined to think because he and Myria completed a strange cycle by feeding on each other’s primal yin and yang essence as well as her milk, their souls quintessence were able to reach back further or return to the source, meaning the it was very much possible that they were indeed the Being of Original Sin and Being of Original Virtue.

"Haha..."

Suddenly, Davis laughed.

"To think the concept of Original Sin here is to go against Heaven’s Will and overthrow it... truly profound..."

Davis felt one thing was possible with this notion- that the heavens had legitimacy since the universe, the primordial chaos or whatever it was called, considered the Heaven’s Will to be the foremost, and going against it was considered Original Sin.

"Alright, you three friends of my children have been very helpful already, shedding some light. I won’t keep you here, but if you want, please join us for dinner. Also, let me help you heal."

Davis stepped forward, but the Seraphim brothers instantly shuddered. He couldn’t help but feel awkward to see the mighty Seraphims tremble like birds near him since he himself viewed them as a warrior-like race.

"Myria, I’ll let you handle Elsa’s injury then..."

"I’ll take care of it."

Myria moved towards Ulna-Von-Elsa and began to heal her eyes.
