Chapter 130 - Victor's Punishment
"Humph! Get the guards here and keep this group of troublemakers here until we know what they're trying to do!" Zhang Qin Feng ordered. The moment he gave his order, few guards encircling them get braver out of sudden and removed the safety on their Centurion Rifle.
Whether the gun was active or not could be seen on the magazine, which indicates the mag content according to the green, yellow, and red light. Green equals fully loaded. Yellow is half, and red is going empty.
"Wh-What are you trying to do here? Don't forget that there's a rule stated that all visitors coming into the survival camp shall be protected. Using firearms to intimidate us is prohibited!" the leader's finger was shaking while pointing at where Zhang Qin Feng stands.
"Rules? It was set by us, correct? Why would I care? This base is mine to start with, anyway." Zhang Qin Feng replied.
"How are those people outside related to you? Explain this. Or else, don't blame me for stripping you guys naked and toss you outside without a meant to protect yourself." Zhang Qin Feng said.
"Queenie, go get some guards over here. Tell them there's a strip show going on, and they'll be the one to strip these boys." Zhang Qin Feng ordered the brave female receptionist to get some help.
"I'll go now!" Queenie left in a hurry. In a short five minutes, she returned with five additional manpower.
"Still not talking?" Zhang Qin Feng repeated what he said earlier.
Looking at these people who remained silent, Zhang Qin Feng moved his head slightly and hinted at the guards. An unlucky hooligan was chosen to be the first victim as they pressed him on the ground before they start to strip him.
He was then thrown out of the Wind Base buck naked. Since Zhang Qin Feng hates to be called a murderer, he left that unlucky hooligan with a blunt kitchen knife found from the metal scrap baskets.
"Continue with the second guy after five minutes. Keep it up until there are no more people is left." Zhang Qin Feng ordered. Turning around and preparing to leave, he took his sweet time to move slowly to place some pressure on their mentality.
A few of the hooligans finally fell to his tricks and ended up exposing everything.
It seems that they're the first group sent out by their leader to check the situation inside this base. If they're not to control, their leader will come here and try to take over without damaging it too much.
Right now, this place is quite an attractive base to them. Before this, it was a place nobody would consider because the pile of vehicle wreckage could lead to potential problems. But with this issue is handled, this place now looked attractive.
The positioning of this place was good as looks due to neither close nor far distance from Turbine City. This could be their moneymaker as Duranium Shards, Antiviral Material, and loot would keep appearing from the zombies that came out from the cloning shelter.
Furthermore, there's another attractive point about this base. The other thing that caught these people's attention was the existence of someone capable of producing batteries. In this post-apocalypse, those with the skills to provide a means to electricity are crucial for a base's sustainability.
As for the other stuff, they're just supporting feature that motivates them further or gifts that came after taking over the place.
"Hahaha... To think that my base actually has people interested in it. In that case, why don't your leader come over here to discuss the handover with me? If the price is correct, I don't mind selling it." Zhang Qin Feng said.
He looked easy to talk to. But only those with some experience could notice that speaking about it is easy, but buying this base from him is practically impossible.
Furthermore, even if Zhang Qin Feng was to sell, what price tag would that be? Could they even afford to buy it?
The hooligans were quiet after hearing what Zhang Qin Feng just said.
[Toot... The hidden signal vanishes completely. Based on the number of firewalls they had, the system believes that the opponent has quite a skillful or two operators on their side]
Stein reported. From the way the report was phrased, it seems even the system faces difficulty in crushing their firewall to locate their hiding spot.
'Any information so far from the attempt?' Zhang Qin Feng asked. After stripping most of them from their belongings, they were kicked out of the base. But since he was not a ruthless person, Zhang Qin Feng left a few of them with some firearms and food they initially come for.
Later in the evening, Satella returned with the female survivor that often accompanied her whenever she went out.
"You're back?" Satella said. Noticing that the atmosphere in their base is somewhat different, Satella immediately caught the wind that something must have happened when she was away.
"What?" Satella was shocked to hear that someone is eying on their base.
"Where the hell did you guys go when there's a problem on the exchange?" Satella slapped the table to the point their bowls almost flipped from the force. At some point, Zhang Qin Feng fantasized that Satella learned a thing or two about some eastern cultivation techniques.
"I'm in my workshop..." Marvin answered.
"Us too... (Me too...)," Miria, Miriam, and Valerian replied similarly.
"And you?" Satella stares at Victor. That guy seems to be unable to provide a proper answer...
"Err..." He hesitates.
"I know - I know! I saw victor putting his 'thing' into one of the female survivors on the back of the parking area where the machine is." Miriam raised her hand and spoke without a hint of embarrassment on her face.
"Victor... I remember I told you before. Nothing like this when the door is open for the survivors to come in and trade." Satella stares fiercely at Victor. From her reply, it seems Satella knew what he's been doing but felt it wasn't an issue until what happened today.
"Deduction of a week worth of hot food. Your punishment starts tonight. Go down there and stand guard with the others." She added.
"But..." Victor was going to say something, but Satella interrupted.
"No buts. This is what you'll get for neglecting your duty."
