Chapter 889: Chapter 888: A New Blueprint

A phantom gate appeared out of thin air at the foot of the Angel Giant Tree, and Yu Sheng, along with his gang members, stepped through it.

As soon as they appeared, Yu Sheng first heard the bustling sounds around him—a batch of mature "fruits" had just fallen on the lakeshore, and the Dark Moon People responsible for guiding new members were busy transferring these fruits to the nearby barracks. The long-haired princess was helping with a few half-grown kids in the camp, and her loud calls could be heard from afar.

The camp on Lake Heart Island had expanded several times beyond what he remembered, now resembling a sizable gathering point. Rows of neatly arranged mobile homes had simple roads in between them. The streetlights by the roadside, although rudimentary, were properly connected with wires, unlike the initial days when everything relied on the Mechanical Soul’s muddled efforts.

Yu Sheng saw a construction site on a piece of open land at the edge of the camp. The Dark Moon People seemed to intend to build a large formal building there—one could only wonder what it was for.

And on the side of the camp near the "Giant Tree Gate," Yu Sheng saw a public canteen—it was essentially a large, unimpressive mobile home, with hardly any space inside for seating, while numerous tables and chairs were placed in the open area outside.

This place was currently quite impoverished, with all resources coming from various aids, and the food in the camp was supplied free of charge.

It was mealtime now, and the canteen had begun providing food to the camp residents—as Yu Sheng passed by, he casually glanced at the menu displayed on a big sign in front of the canteen. It listed braised rice with green beans, fried rice with green beans, braised noodles with green beans, and fried noodles with green beans.

The newly-formed Dark Moon People—whether ordinary Low-Tier Moon People or high-tier Blood Clan members who had awakened their Blood Power—were currently indulging in a sea of green beans.

At the edge of the open space by the canteen entrance, Yu Sheng saw many people gathered under the "sunlight," with tiny vines and green leaves hanging over their heads and behind them. These Dark Moon People held bowls in their hands, immersed in the sea of green beans while conducting photosynthesis...

Erin, lying on Yu Sheng’s shoulder, mumbled, "The vampires I saw in movies weren’t like this..."

Yu Sheng sighed as well, "Not just you, the vampires I’ve seen in TV shows and novels weren’t like this either."

Erin: "Then why do you think this situation has turned out to have this ’style’?"

Yu Sheng shrugged, "Why ask me? It’s got nothing to do with me."

Erin had a belly full of retorts, but she was choked back completely on the spot.

Lucrecia, who had come along, didn’t join the conversation but instead took out her Crystal Ball with a serious expression and started measuring something under the Angel Giant Tree.

The slow voice of the Tree Angel echoed in everyone’s mind, "Is there anything... today?"

"The calibration process is ready," Yu Sheng replied. He had already mentioned this to the Tree Angel before today, so there was no need to explain much, "How is your status over there?"

"I am doing... well," the voice of the Tree Angel, unhurried, sounded cheerful, "Finally, this day has arrived; it feels like I’ve been waiting... for a long time."

Hearing the old tree’s relaxed sigh, even Erin, who usually wriggled nonstop when sitting on Yu Sheng’s shoulder, became quiet suddenly. The Little Puppet spaced out for a moment, then unexpectedly said in a rare tone, "Yes... it does seem like we’ve been waiting for a long time."

Then she scratched Yu Sheng’s hair.

"Yu Sheng, Yu Sheng, once the calibrator is set up and my mental calibration data is synced, can this thing be finished? The World Ark will set sail... and Dark Angels will no longer descend on this world..."

Yu Sheng paused for a moment.

He turned to look at the Little Puppet on his shoulder. Through those scarlet eyes was the Omen Goddess’s clear gaze.

He then ruffled the little puppet’s head.

"The procedure is indeed like that, but actually implementing it is not so easy. The calibrator unfolding requires a process, where the whole World Bridge data must be restructured, using the Tree Angel as the anchor point for synchronization, which might take several months or even longer. As for the calibration data stored in your mind... we can’t be sure about its condition for now."

After Yu Sheng finished speaking, Lucrecia also added, "Moreover, even if all this goes smoothly, the situation after the World Ark sets sail may not be as ’peaceful and calm’ as Erin imagines—the Dark Angels won’t avoid this ’big ship’ because of the Void Engine’s activation. On the contrary, the large-scale information fluctuations emitted by the calibrator and the Void Engine will, like a brilliant lighthouse in the night, fatally attract the Dark Angels in the void."

Erin widened her eyes slowly, "...What?! Wouldn’t that make it even more troublesome then?"

Lucrecia laughed and shook her head, "The activation of the Void Engine will generate an additional order field on the world barrier, under which most weak Dark Angels will be unable to pass through. Also, as the Ark accelerates, most ’obstacles’ on the route will no longer be obstacles...

"So, on one hand, the situation will indeed be... exciting, with a massive number of Dark Angels that are already in madness converging toward our universe, even crashing against our world barrier. Among them, undoubtedly, some are strong enough or lucky enough to infiltrate, but on the other hand, the accelerating World Ark will become..."

This Star Sea Witch stopped abruptly, seemingly unable to find suitable words to describe, while Yu Sheng, standing beside her, quickly filled in with a term that popped into his mind: "A void monstrosity, is that it?"

Erin was shocked: "Holy shit, a void dump truck!"

Lucrecia nodded approvingly, "Mm-hmm, I actually think Uncle Yu described it quite accurately—the World Ark in accelerated mode has indeed become an unprecedented void dump truck in this Sea of Annihilation. Basically, nothing can stand in our ’course’..."

Erin’s mouth hung agape for two seconds: "...Wow."

Lucrecia’s gaze then fell on Yu Sheng.

The crystal ball in her hand emitted a gentle glow, and countless complex geometrical structures and star-like glimmers flickered and surged within.

"Uncle Yu, we can start now."

Yu Sheng immediately nodded: "Alright, what do I need to do?"

Lucrecia’s palm brushed over the surface of the crystal ball, and miraculously, a magnificent polyhedron with an undefined multi-surface structure and ever-changing colors on each surface condensed from the crystal ball’s light and floated steadily mid-air.

"This is what we’ll use to transform the World Bridge into a Calibrator, the ’Unfolding Diagram,’ or put differently, the guide data," Lucrecia pushed the polyhedron towards Yu Sheng, "Next, please ’consume’ it—just like you devoured the World Bridge back then."

Yu Sheng hesitantly accepted the colorful polyhedron handed over by the Star Sea Witch, finding it felt like a weightless yet tangibly cold crystal as he traced its edges, murmuring, "Actually, I’m someone who cares a lot about food safety..."

Lucrecia: "Mm-hmm, got it, got it. You can start now."

Yu Sheng sighed, raising his arm, "Lu..."

Beside him, Luna had been waiting for ages; as soon as he uttered the first syllable, a shadow flashed by, and instantly his arm was tattooed like an aquarium, then blood began to flow rapidly.

Not daring to waste it, Yu Sheng quickly guided the blood towards the polyhedron crystal.

The next second, all the blood that touched the crystal was instantly absorbed, and Yu Sheng felt his consciousness being linked to a data structure far larger than he had expected. Without having the time to slowly analyze it, the vast ’knowledge’ surged directly into his mind through the connection established by the blood.

Information stormed in like a tempest; the connection established through the blood had never been this clear and intense. At this moment, only one thought crossed Yu Sheng’s mind—

It’s worthy of being the blueprint specially calibrated by the Captain for reading, how effortlessly it melts and absorbs...

The next second, he felt a boom in his mind, and his consciousness sank into the void.

He once again saw the blueprint of the World Bridge—its vast and ancient informational structure shone brilliantly in the darkness, with the wonders constructed by the Dark Angels using their essence materializing in his vision as an endless stream of light, seemingly looping through space distortion.

Then, this enormous data structure began to reorganize before his eyes.

Yu Sheng understood.

The next instant, deep within the Soul Wilderness, above the grand Val↑ha↓la←lu→, a psychic resonance hum suddenly emerged; a magnificent Light River erupted from the crown of the Crystal Holy Tree, piercing through the entire sky.

The next moment, the Light River descended rapidly from the sky, enveloping the Tree Angel’s soul projection standing in the Soul Wilderness.

Simultaneously, in the real world at the center of Plande Sky Island, the same sound of psychic resonance echoed across the plains.

Everyone heard the ringing sound emanating from the center of the lake. Whether it was the Builders on the plains or the Dark Moon People on Lake Heart Island, all instinctively turned towards the direction of the sound—

The magnificent Angel Giant Tree was undergoing a secondary ’growth,’ with layers of crystalline illusions appearing around its originally sky-covering crown, as if another illusory giant tree was descending into the real world. Yet, this descent felt seamless: the crystal branches interwoven within the giant tree’s crown combined perfectly with the Tree Angel, as if they were a single entity from the start.

And around the giant tree, outside Lake Heart Island, the once calm, mirror-like lake surface instantly transformed, becoming pitch-black and profound. Then, an incredible reflection appeared in the water—the previously reflected tree crown vanished, replaced by an illusory, magnificent starlit sky from some unknown origin.

In mere moments, the previously mundane water surface had deepened into an oceanic expanse, as if replicating the Universe; brilliantly sparkling stars shimmered within the lake water, as if reflecting from the world’s far end.

...It was indeed a reflection from the world’s end.

Because, at this moment, what was being reflected on the lake beneath the giant tree was the illusory starry sky orbiting the main drive sequence within the "Quiet Sea" space where the Void Engine resides.
