Chapter 333: Marching into Great Xia
Chapter 333: Chapter 333: Marching into Great Xia
The Great Xia Empire.
By now, the unification of the Chaotic Alliance Domain was a fact known to almost everyone in the Great Xia Empire.
However, most people didn’t pay it too much mind. There was no point in worrying about it; they were powerless to change the outcome.
"Huh? Why did the sky suddenly go dark?"
In every major city, people began to notice the strange phenomenon one after another, and they all looked up at the sky.
"What a massive dark cloud!"
"That’s not a dark cloud! It’s all people—hundreds of thousands of them!"
"The army of the Chaotic Alliance Domain!!"
In every city the sky-blotting cloud passed over, cries of alarm erupted.
Everyone watched the army of hundreds of thousands streak across the sky, their faces pale as they gasped in shock.
Then, countless gazes focused on the vanguard of the army: a Black Ape with black dragon wings, and the two figures on its shoulders.
"That’s Yi Xiaoyao!"
"The Grand Alliance Leader of the Chaotic Alliance Domain, Yi Xiaoyao!"
Shouts of astonishment echoed from the crowds in city after city.
Yi Xiaoyao wasn’t just a household name in the Chaotic Alliance Domain; his fame had long since shaken the entirety of Great Xia!
One month ago, to save the woman he loved, Yi Xiaoyao had annihilated twenty-one City Lords, slain the Second Prince, and utterly defeated the Pill King with his Alchemy Skill.
Half a month ago, Yi Xiaoyao had severed the arms of the Second Lord, defeating him and forcing him to flee back to Great Xia in disgrace.
Even though Yi Xiaoyao was an enemy of the Great Xia Empire, such glorious achievements had nevertheless become legendary, with tales spreading throughout all of Great Xia.
And now, Yi Xiaoyao was leading the experts of the entire Chaotic Alliance Domain to crush Great Xia, just like Cang Tianxing had in his time.
This was a world where the strong were revered. Some people, and some feats, were magnificent enough to make one forget allegiances and simply stand in awe and shock.
The young Cultivators, in particular, were so excited their faces flushed red, their eyes glowing with a crimson, fanatical light.
This was because Yi Xiaoyao was just so young—only nineteen years old.
In the Great Xia Empire, most nineteen-year-olds were, at best, still struggling in the Nascent Soul Realm.
Yet at that same age, Yi Xiaoyao had already reached a level of achievement that no one else in Great Xia could match.
Because of this, almost all the young men had come to see Yi Xiaoyao as their ultimate goal, the ideal man.
So, upon seeing Yi Xiaoyao, they naturally went wild.
Meanwhile, Yi Xiaoyao, the center of everyone’s attention, was sitting on Little Hei’s shoulder alongside Yun Mengling.
"Little Hei’s dragon wings are pretty fast," Yi Xiaoyao remarked with a faint smile, looking at the pair of wings on Little Hei’s back.
He then shook his head with a helpless sigh.
After consuming the Demon Core of that great Void-Entering Demon, Little Hei had successfully advanced. However, instead of taking human form like a normal Demon Beast, his body had just grown larger and more formidable, and he had sprouted a pair of black dragon wings.
These dragon wings, perhaps as compensation for not being able to take human form, were unbelievably fast—significantly faster than even a peak Nascent Soul Transformation expert.
That was why Yi Xiaoyao and Yun Mengling, riding on the swiftly flying Little Hei, could easily leave the experts behind them in the dust and lead the charge.
"Of course! Little Hei is the son of a Demon Emperor. He’s naturally different from ordinary Demon Beasts."
Yun Mengling patted Little Hei’s large head and smiled.
Hearing this, Little Hei let out a loud GAK GAK. Just as he was about to flap his wings even harder to accelerate, Jin Sanbao, who had been desperately trying to catch up, shouted at him to stop.
"You damn Little Hei, flying so fast! I had to burn three Nascent Souls just to catch up!"
Jin Sanbao complained to Little Hei, only to be mocked with a series of GAK GAKs.
"Three Treasures, what is it?" Yi Xiaoyao asked.
Jin Sanbao chuckled. "I just took a little trip down below and found this."
Yi Xiaoyao took a Beast Hide Scroll from Jin Sanbao’s hand and, after a quick glance, let out a scornful laugh.
It was a Bounty Order for Yi Xiaoyao issued by the Imperial Army Mansion. The reward, however, was worlds apart from the one million Spirit Stones it had been initially.
Now, the price on Yi Xiaoyao’s head was a staggering one billion Spirit Stones.
"To think, it was a Bounty Order from the Imperial Army Mansion that forced me into the Chaotic Alliance Domain back then. Now, no matter how high a bounty the Imperial Army Mansion posts, it can’t change the fact that I will crush Great Xia."
After he spoke, the Bounty Order fluttered away on the wind, while the army of the Chaotic Alliance Domain advanced in the opposite direction—toward the Imperial Capital of Great Xia.
As the army drew closer and closer to the Great Xia Imperial Capital, the entire Great Xia Empire was thrown into an uproar.
And within the Imperial Capital of Great Xia, a commotion had already begun.
"Yi Xiaoyao and the army of the Chaotic Alliance Domain are approaching the Imperial Capital!"
"The Carefree Alliance’s army has reached the Imperial Capital!"
With each urgent report, the atmosphere in the Great Xia Imperial Capital grew more tense.
Inside the Imperial Army Mansion, a large number of experts had gathered, discussing the situation with grave expressions.
"Hmph! That Yi Xiaoyao has boundless audacity! How dare he actually challenge our Great Xia!"
"If that’s the case, we’ll just have to make him the second Cang Tianxing and let him die in our Great Xia!"
A few hot-tempered generals slammed their hands on the table and roared.
But the Second Lord, who no longer had arms to slam on the table, frowned and said, "Don’t underestimate the enemy. I ended up like this precisely because I underestimated him."
"Indeed, Old Second has a point," said a white-haired old man. "That Yi Xiaoyao is exceptionally strong; even Old Second was no match for him. And with Chi Fen and Lady Ji added to the mix, I fear they will be difficult to deal with!"
Everyone else looked at the old man with faces full of respect, for this was the number one expert of the Great Xia Empire, the Great Mansion Lord.
"Old Third, what are your thoughts?" the Great Mansion Lord asked the Third Lord.
The Third Lord pondered for a moment before saying, "Neither I nor the Second Lord are a match for Chi Fen and Yi Xiaoyao. As for Lady Ji, while her poison techniques are incredibly bizarre and difficult to handle, I should be able to hold my own against her."
The Great Mansion Lord said, "Old Third can’t be the one to deal with Lady Ji. Otherwise, either Yi Xiaoyao or Chi Fen will be left unopposed."
"How about this: Great Mansion Lord, you handle Chi Fen and Lady Ji. The Third Lord and I will team up to kill Yi Xiaoyao, and then we’ll come and help you," the Second Lord proposed. In his heart, he was desperate to kill Yi Xiaoyao with his own hands and avenge his severed arms.
"That’s the only way," the Great Mansion Lord nodded, then looked to the other experts. "As for the rest of you, you outnumber the experts from the Chaotic Alliance Domain. Add to that our home-field advantage, and you have a clear upper hand. I won’t need to make arrangements for you."
"In this battle, our Great Xia will be victorious!"
The experts of the Imperial Army Mansion all received their orders. ℯℯ𝑙.
And at that very moment, in the skies above the Great Xia Imperial Capital, hundreds of thousands of experts blotted out the sun.
Yi Xiaoyao led the Alliance Leaders, appearing in the sky above the Imperial Army Mansion’s main headquarters with a wide grin.
"From the heavens above to the earth below, I alone am Carefree!"
"Even if the heavens and the earth themselves tried to stop me from being Carefree, I would sunder the sky and split the ground! What hope does a paltry Great Xia Imperial Army Mansion have?"
The next moment, a sword hummed sharply as Yi Xiaoyao angrily slashed out with the Bloodthirsty Sword in his hand.
A heaven-shaking Sword Aura that seemed to cleave the sky above and crack the earth below shot directly toward the Imperial Army Mansion, instantly splitting the land for a thousand li around it in two.
