Chapter 109: Chapter 109: The Weakest One

Shangguan Jingyun glanced at the dots of light on the Guangmen. Sure enough, the one representing Yi Xiaoyao was extremely close to another dot.

"If a disciple of your Hundred Flowers Sect can eliminate Yi Xiaoyao, I will gift that disciple two mid-grade Spiritual Skills. What do you say?" Shangguan Jingyun asked with a smile, glancing at the Sect Leader of the Hundred Flowers Sect.

"Excellent! In that case, I thank Master Shangguan on that disciple’s behalf," said the Sect Leader of the Hundred Flowers Sect.

The Righteous Powers were all eager to curry favor with the number one sect, the Cloud Transformation Sect, and the Hundred Flowers Sect was no exception.

Although everyone knew that Yi Xiaoyao’s Cultivation was only at the Sixth Layer of the Foundation Establishment Realm, for the Seven Kills Star Hall to have sent him out, he must have some extraordinary quality.

However, with such a massive gap in Cultivation, no amount of talent could bridge it.

Therefore, this Sect Leader of the Hundred Flowers Sect was already certain that their disciple would be able to eliminate Yi Xiaoyao.

...

Beyond the Guangmen on the altar was a small, independent space.

This space had no sun or moon, only a gray haze, and it was perpetually silent.

But just then, a faint sound broke the silence.

HUMMM!

A strange fluctuation emanated through the space. The mirror-like void rippled like water, and a tall, straight figure appeared out of thin air.

"So this is the space that contains the Great Demon Ancient Tomb?"

Yi Xiaoyao’s bright eyes scanned his surroundings, a curious expression on his face.

’This is my first time encountering an independent space like this.’

"Hm?"

The next moment, Yi Xiaoyao suddenly sensed something, and his expression changed.

As it turned out, there wasn’t a single trace of Spiritual Power in this space.

This meant that after entering, any consumed Spiritual Power could not be replenished.

In other words, the Spiritual Power stored in one’s body was a finite resource—every bit used was gone for good. It absolutely could not be wasted.

After realizing this, Yi Xiaoyao wasn’t too worried. Even if his Spiritual Power was depleted, he could still fight those at the Foundation Establishment Ninth Realm relying on his formidable Physical Strength alone.

’I wonder where Senior Sister Luo Yi and the others were teleported. The most urgent task right now is to find them and regroup. After all, this unknown region is filled with unknown dangers, and the disciples from the other sects are all potential enemies. It’s far too dangerous to be on my own like this,’ Yi Xiaoyao thought to himself.

Then, as Yi Xiaoyao’s gaze swept the area, his eyes suddenly locked onto something, and a look of pleasant surprise appeared on his face.

In a crevice between some rocks not far away, a jet-black Lingzhi was growing.

"Black Blood Reishi!"

Yi Xiaoyao immediately stepped forward and plucked the Spirit Medicine. He excitedly brought it to his nose for a sniff—it was indeed the Black Blood Reishi, a treasure nearly impossible to find in the outside world.

’I’d heard the Hall Master say that the dimension of the Great Demon Ancient Tomb was littered with heavenly treasures. Looks like he was right.’

Who knew how many years it had been since anyone had set foot in this independent space; it was only natural that it held countless Secret Treasures.

Just as Yi Xiaoyao was joyfully stowing away the Spirit Medicine, a woman’s laughter suddenly sounded from behind him.

"Haha, my luck is amazing! To think I’d run into this kid the moment I arrived."

Yi Xiaoyao turned at the sound and saw a woman with a lithe figure walking toward him, a broad smile on her face.

Before entering, he had memorized the disciples from both the righteous and demonic factions. This woman was a disciple from the Hundred Flowers Sect, one of the Righteous Powers.

’The so-called righteous and demonic factions are just labels.’

But one thing was a fact: Yi Xiaoyao and this woman were enemies.

"And why would you consider running into me good luck?" Yi Xiaoyao asked, turning with a faint smile.

The Hundred Flowers Sect disciple giggled. "Because out of everyone who entered the Great Demon Ancient Tomb, you’re the weakest. On top of that, you’re an enemy of the Cloud Transformation Sect Leader. I’ll get a huge reward for killing you."

With that, the woman gave a sharp cry and drew her longsword.

Yi Xiaoyao raised an eyebrow. ’So, I’m the weakest one?’

"Everyone who entered the Great Demon Ancient Tomb is at the Foundation Establishment Ninth Realm. So, tell me, aren’t you the weakest?"

A vicious glint appeared in the Hundred Flowers Sect disciple’s eyes. Spiritual Power surged through her as she raised her sword and slashed at Yi Xiaoyao.

Yi Xiaoyao smiled coldly. "Whether or not I’m the weakest doesn’t really matter. All I know is that anyone who tries to kill me ends up dead."

Just then, sharp streams of Sword Qi shot out from the Hundred Flowers Sect disciple’s blade, tearing through the air as they flew toward Yi Xiaoyao.

"Sword Qi?" Yi Xiaoyao was slightly startled. ’She’s actually comprehended Sword Qi. I suppose that makes her a genius of the Sword Dao.’

"I’m surprised you can even recognize Sword Qi. Consider it an honor to die by it."

The female disciple from the Hundred Flowers Sect smiled smugly. In a small sect like theirs, she was the most talented disciple in a hundred years. The sect treated her like a priceless treasure simply because she had comprehended Sword Qi. It was her greatest source of pride.

But in the next moment, her pretty face drained of color. She watched as Yi Xiaoyao raised his hand and, in a single motion, unleashed streams of black Sword Qi.

Her own Sword Qi, which had always been unrivaled, was completely powerless against Yi Xiaoyao’s black Sword Qi. The moment they collided, hers was instantly shattered, broken as easily as dry weeds.

"What! How is that possible!"

The Hundred Flowers Sect disciple’s face was ashen. Seeing the black Sword Qi hurtling toward her with its power undiminished, she scrambled to put up a desperate defense.

CRACK!

Her longsword shattered. The woman coughed up blood and stumbled backward, her eyes filled with utter terror.

All her earlier smugness was gone. Her greatest pride, her Sword Qi, was nothing compared to Yi Xiaoyao’s.

A glint flashed in Yi Xiaoyao’s eyes, and his faint smile returned.

"Now, do you still think I’m the weakest?"

His calm voice reached the Hundred Flowers Sect disciple’s ears, and she swallowed audibly.

Even now, she still couldn’t understand how someone at the Sixth Layer of the Foundation Establishment Realm could be so powerful.

But one thing was crystal clear: Yi Xiaoyao had produced such terrifying power with just a casual strike. She was no match for him at all.

"I was blind! Please, spare me!" The woman’s earlier ferocity vanished, replaced by a pitiful expression as she begged for her life.

Yi Xiaoyao remained unmoved. He shot directly toward the woman as his cold voice rang out, "I told you before. Anyone who tries to kill me ends up dead."

Seeing Yi Xiaoyao’s terrifying speed, the Hundred Flowers Sect disciple knew she couldn’t escape. At the last moment, an idea struck her.

"Spare me, and I’ll be yours from now on!"

The woman called out to Yi Xiaoyao in a coquettish voice, clinging to her last sliver of hope.
