Chapter 503 Imperilment the Sub-plane

Chapter 503 Imperilment the Sub-plane

Lenny froze the moment he opened the door, instantly regretting why he had not knocked first before entering.

The reason was that right there in the middle of the room, Clawed was on top of Duncan.

The sibling couple was engaged in extracurricular activities. Of course, these activities were very sensual in nature.

Lenny had never seen a sight weirder in his entire life.

This was a double-headed man with bat wings and snake hair on the body of a naked man with snake hair.

This was an image Lenny would not be able to get rid of in his head for a very long time to come.

“Forgive me!” He instantly turned around, pretending he had not seen anything.

A few minutes later, Duncan walked out of the room, tying a robe around his waist, with Clawed walking behind him. “Goddamn it, Lenny, I said that I was going to come get you when the sun rose.” 𝚍n𝚘v𝚕.𝚘𝚛𝚐

Lenny scratched his head. “Yeah, I got too excited and couldn’t wait!”

“Well, you destroyed my excitement!” Duncan frowned as he finished tying his robe.

Clawed also had a look on his face, showing that he did not like the fact that he had been interrupted.

The place was suddenly silent, and it became very awkward between the three of them.

*Cough!* “So you said something about teaching how to beat Riff and win the tournament?”

Duncan sighed loudly as he calmed himself down. “Yes! Come with me!”

He walked back into the room, and then he removed a bracelet from his hand and cast it to the ground.

The seemingly normal bracelet with coweries and little bones about it suddenly morphed in the air and enlarged.

From the pinkish glow it gave, Lenny instantly knew what this was. It was a portal. But something was strange about this portal. It gave a chilling, otherworldly feel.

“Where are we headed?” Lenny asked.

Duncan chuckled with a malicious grin on his face. “Don’t worry, you’ll see…” He paused when he was about to go in and turned to Lenny. “…if it pushes, push back.”

Duncan and Clawed stepped into the portal, and Lenny, without hesitating, followed along.

If it were others, he might have been skeptical about this. However, both Duncan and Clawed were far too strong to trick him. It was far easier for any of them to outright kill him.

Immediately, he did, he felt a strong force pull at him to go back. It was strong, like he was going against the waves of the ocean.

However, he suddenly remembered Duncan’s words.

And so he pushed back, and it suddenly felt as if he was pushing against a rubber balloon.

He pushed and pushed, and the rubber proved to be far tougher than he had thought it would be.

He had no choice but to use all of his strength.

It felt as if it had been hours pushing through, but he was finally able to break through it.

The moment he broke through it, he fell on his knees. His breathing was heavy. It felt as if the air in this place was rejecting his lungs or that his lungs were being pulled to the ground.

“Wow! Look at the gladiator, go!” Clawed chuckled, and Duncan joined him.

Lenny groaned as he got to his feet, not understanding why the two of them were laughing at him.

“Don’t worry!” Clawed patted him heavily on his back. “You did great. Most people throw up for the first time.”

“And that is if they are lucky!” Duncan added, “… Otherwise, most of them faint or even die.”

Clawed nodded at this. “You should check your body parts to make sure they have not displaced their positions.”

“Huh!?” Lenny did not understand what they were going on about.

However, he slowly stood up to his feet, and then his eyes gazed upon the environment around him.

“Where… where are we?” he asked.

Immediately, the Satan System and Duncan replied in unison.

“We are In-between the In-between!”

“Huh!?”

<This is a sub-plane in between the Middle Planes and the In-between of the Underworld. This particular sub-plane is called the imperilment.

“Another Plane?” Lenny’s surprise was well labeled on his face. “When… how!?”

Clawed chuckled, “You might want to breathe a little to let your lungs get used to this plane. That resistance you felt earlier was from the sub-plane rejecting you because you are foreign to it. But don’t worry, you will get used to it.”

“This is a subplane. Meaning that it was either fractured from a plane or created by a very powerful existence. Either one, we are not sure, but what we do know is that it is…”

“…going to be your training ground.” Clawed finished Duncan’s statement.

On hearing this, Lenny stepped forward to look around the place.

The interior of the plane, though ethereal at first sight, was a stark contrast to the chaos unfolding everywhere he looked.

This was a savage landscape teeming with raw, never-before-seen creatures.

Monstrous beings with serrated mandibles clashed in brutal battles at one side, their primal instincts driving them to fight fiercely for the title of predator, each skirmish a macabre dance of survival.

The ground below Lenny’s feet was a writhing mass of otherworldly life, which took him by surprise, and he moved his foot for the wriggling insect-like creature to rush out of sight.

However, even before it got to safety, it was preyed upon by a larger creature.

All over, obscure, insect-like creatures scurried about, scavenging whatever morsels they could find amidst the carnage. The air was thick, and this was not just his breathing for air, but he could really feel the tension with every blow of wind.

Every gust carried the scent of danger, a heady mix of earthy musk and the metallic tang of blood.

The sky was a canvas of surreal hues, painted with the dying embers of an obviously dying star that served as the major source of light in this savage world.

The cries of creatures echoed through the air, a symphony of aggression and desperation.

Surely, this place was anything but safe.

Lenny looked around as he walked forward.

The gravity here was surprisingly lighter than he thought it would be.

But the air still felt as if he were navigating through muddy water.

In this world, rocks as big as little islands floated in the air.

According to Duncan, it was the magnetic pull between the plane and the dying star that held them in place.

Far off in the distance, Lenny was surprised to see green plants. However, a closer view told a different story.

These were massive, predatory plants, their petals resembling the jaws of a waiting predator, swaying ominously, ready to ensnare anything that ventured too close.

Yes, this was the sub-plane imperilment, and every corner spoke loud volumes of the danger it abodes…
