Chapter 1043: Chapter 490: Forcing the Unwilling (First Update, Monthly Ticket Requested!)

Evan Stetford unexpectedly raised his eyebrows.

Didn’t expect Edward Foster’s mom to be so impressive, coming on vacation with her own chef...

It’s not that many people lack the financial means; they just never thought of doing it this way.

It’s a matter of vision and life experience.

It’s obvious that Mrs. Foster grew up surrounded by luxury, after all, she was the childhood sweetheart once engaged to Aiden Sheldon.

In just a blink of an eye, Evan had such a flurry of thoughts in his mind.

But he still smiled and nodded, saying, "That’s great; we’ll happily take advantage of Mrs. Foster."

"As long as Evan graces us with his presence, the Foster Family considers it an honor." Mrs. Foster said graciously, "By the way, Lawrence, where are we staying? You arrange it, okay? I heard Mr. Parker has taken you as his sister? Make sure to send me an invitation when you celebrate!"

Mrs. Foster walked over to Lawrence Winters, speaking to her with warmth and a playful tone, while casually tidying her collar.

Her fingers were warm, her tone gentle and loving, clearly indicating their unusual relationship.

Lawrence didn’t decline, instead casually linking her arm with Mrs. Foster’s, "It’s wonderful you could come, Mrs. Foster! I’ve reserved the best room, as if I had a premonition you’d be here!"

In truth, she had no such premonition.

Previously, she thought living in Quentin Parker’s house, it wasn’t appropriate to stay in the master bedroom.

Now with so many people staying, Quentin surely wouldn’t mind, so she generously offered the master bedroom to Mrs. Foster.

Mrs. Foster was the eldest among them, with the highest seniority; even Quentin wouldn’t oppose her staying in the master bedroom.

And Mrs. Foster’s master bedroom was right next to Lawrence’s room.

Edward Foster quickly joined in, "Lawrence, where should I stay? Could you help arrange it too?"

"Don’t worry, Little Edward, I’ll arrange everything perfectly for you!" Lawrence winked at him, her demeanor and tone relaxed.

Kenneth Osborne’s gaze followed the three of them to the staircase before turning to Abigail Henderson by his side, "Attorney Henderson, will you be staying here for a few days too?"

Abigail nodded, "Mr. Parker invited me to stay here as well."

As Quentin extended the invitation directly, neither Kenneth nor Evan would object.

He stood up, "Let’s go to the second floor; all the bedrooms are on the second floor."

Kenneth turned towards the staircase, with Abigail naturally carrying her suitcase, following along.

Evan Stetford paused for a moment but soon caught up, taking the suitcase from Abigail’s hand and jesting with Kenneth, "Kenneth, how can you let Attorney Henderson, a delicate lady, lug the suitcase herself? Why not lend a hand?"

Kenneth hadn’t noticed.

But after Evan’s reminder, he pointed to the nearby elevator doors, "Just put her suitcase in, and we’ll retrieve it when it reaches the second floor."

Referring to Lawrence’s ingenious trick from yesterday.

Kenneth found it quite clever afterward and remembered it.

Evan was confused, "What? Put it in the elevator? Why not just take the elevator ourselves?"

"Sure, Evan, you take the elevator; we’ll meet you on the second floor."

As Kenneth spoke, he was already taking strides up the stairs.

Abigail gave Evan a smile, "Evan, perhaps you should return the suitcase; it’s not heavy, and I can manage it myself."

"No way." Evan regained his composure, smiling, "Let’s follow Kenneth’s suggestion and let the elevator bring it up by itself."

When Evan said this, his tone carried a hint of mischief and mockery.

But upon reaching the second floor, seeing Kenneth pressing the button by the elevator doors, and the elevator smoothly arriving from the first floor, his smile faded.

The elevator door opened, and the suitcase he had placed inside stood neatly in the middle.

Abigail quickly moved in to retrieve it, laughing, "Learned something; it can be done this way."

Kenneth also curved his lips, "This only works if there’s a private home elevator. If it’s a public elevator in a building, your suitcase might just disappear."

Abigail was somewhat surprised and couldn’t help but laugh, "Didn’t expect you to be quite humorous, Kenneth. I thought you were always serious, so I was cautious when speaking, fearing my poor Mandarin might lead to your disdain."

Kenneth chuckled, "Attorney Henderson is too modest. We’re partners; no need to be overly cautious."

"Glad to hear that." Abigail felt relieved, and her demeanor became more relaxed.
