The figure left immediately after, neither Morgana nor Arthur even detected their presence.

Arthur led Morgana to a room painted in gold, " It’s been a while since I’ve been here, I certainly did not miss it." Said Morgana.

" What is it that you want to discuss Morgana?" Asked Arthur with impatience.

" How cold, is that any way to treat your dear little sister?" She asked sarcastically.

" You stopped being my sister a long time ago." Answered Arthur.

" You’re right, whatever relationship we had before is long gone, believe me my hatred for you burns just as bright as yours for me.

However this is not about us, this is about our children, knowing the history of this rotten family I doubt you love your child, but I love mine."

Arthur placed down the glass of wine in his hand, " You don’t get to question the love I have for my child Morgana, not you."

" No, I very much do, after all, you are your father’s son and you claim you love her yet you’re sending her to such a fate."

" That fate is hers to face, it is not my place to question her destiny." Arthur answered with rage.

" No Arthur, you’re just a coward, I had hoped to work with you to change the grim fate awaiting our children.

But I can see now, a coward like you would never defy heaven, those pigeons have you on a leash."

" How dare you speak so rudely of the angels, do you have a death wish Morgana?" Arthur was getting heated.

Morgana sighed, " It doesn’t matter but tell your masters, if they come after my son, I will pluck their chicken wings myself."

She stood up to leave then a burst of light appeared behind her and out walked an aged angel.

" That aged face, I can only think of one with such a kink, do you think wrinkles make you wise Metatron?" Asked Morgana.

Metatron brushed his long beard, " You truly are a brazen child daughter of Nimue, do you not fear me?"

Morgana giggled, " Fear you? Do not mistake me for this coward, good thing that you came yourself.

I’ll tell you this only once angel, if you come after my child, heaven will fall." She threatened him.

" MORGANA!" Roared Arthur, his hand reaching for his sword. Metatron raised his hand to stop him.

" I wonder what gives you so much confidence child, it is not your fate to perish as if this time.

However, threatening heaven is sin beyond forgiveness." Metatron’s voice grew colder with each word.

By the time his sentence ended, the entire island the castle stood on was shaking, this island was protected by magic strong enough to shrug off a Demigod’s attack.

Yet those magic arrays were cracking one after another from Metatron’s mere aura, Morgana felt her knees getting weak.

’ Is this the power of a God, it’s higher than I expected.’ a powerful force was trying to force her to kneel.

With pure will alone she stood tall like an unbending mountain, this seemed to anger Metatron even more.

" The great one will forgive me, you must perish this very day." A beam of light fell from the sky.

It moved so fast the world itself appeared to be standing still, Morgana couldn’t even cast a single spell in time.

’ Fairy mother, any moment now please.’

" Hehehe, how brazen of you child of light to harm the one I protect." Everybody heard a sweet and enchanting feminine voice.

The world suddenly disappeared and they found themselves in empty with stars that shimmered like crystals.

Rivers of gold ran through this empty space like veins, incomprehensible monstrosities and things as pure as a child’s hearts briefly appeared from those rivers.

" The realm of dreams, fairy mother you would dare challenge heaven, have you no fear?" Asked Metatron.

" To think mere pigeons have grown brave enough to threaten me in my own realm, perhaps you’ve forgotten who I am."

Answered the fairy mother on her throne made of gold. Morgana appeared next to her.

She watched this place with curiosity, " Is this the dream realm? It’s more beautiful than I expected." She admired.

" This place is the collective dream space of all that ever dreamt and will ever dream, it exists outside of space time itself.

You call it beautiful only because I allowed you to see the beautiful side of it." Said the fairy mother.

" The hearts of mortals are more twisted than you can ever imagine little girl and they’re not the only ones who dream.

Tell me, what do you think demons dream of? What of the creatures of purgatory or the so called pure angels?"

Her question stumped Meggie, their discussion was disturbed by a low growl, Metatron was fuming.

" Do not forget your place Fairy mother, I am an angel, a beloved child of the great one, you wouldn’t dare harm me."

" You think too highly of yourself Metatron, beloved? that thing cannot feel love, its very nature denies it such.

It created you in an attempt to reach perfection but even with all its might, as ancient as it is.

It still does not understand, perfection is reserved only for Asire, no matter how hard it tries, it shall never reach perfection." Said the fairy mother.

" How dare a failed creation speak such blasphemy against my lord, you will be punished for your insolence."

Light gathered on his palm, Metatron flapped his wings and appeared above the fairy mother.

The light turned into a sword that burnt dreams themselves, he swung it down on her head.

The fairy mother did not even look up, she snapped her fingers and his sword turned into butterflies.

" I told you foolish bird, in this realm, reality is whatever I desire it to be, now take your pet and leave."

Before Metatron could react he found himself back in the golden castle of the Pendragon clan.

" Lord Metatron, who was that?" Asked Arthur.

" A relic refusing to accept her place." Answered Metatron.

---------------------------------------------

Morgana appeared back in her hut with the fairy mother next to her, " So what payment did you want for this?" She asked.

" A hundred years." Answered the fairy mother.

" That’s it? Just a hundred years of my lifespan?"

" What use is taking the lifespan of an immortal, no I want a hundred years of your memories.

As per our agreement, I will give you a discount, you will choose which memories to give."

Morgana nodded, she searched through her own memories until she found what she was looking for.

8 000 years ago, there was a time where she spent over 600 years roaming the world in hiding.

At that time, Adrian’s father was not with her, he was still drawing the attention of their enemies and facing them by himself.

She chose a century of those memories, in that century she spent her time as a farmer in a small village of herbiyera shifters.

It wasn’t an unpleasant memory but not one she would miss either. After the fairy mother took them.

She felt a hole in her own memories, no matter how hard she tried to remember what happened during that time, she couldn’t.
