Valentina lowered her head, enduring silently, and still replied softly,

"...Alright, Master Tao."

She looked at Fisher in front of her, still reluctantly stood up, the wings behind her slightly unfurled. She also reached out to gently hold Fisher’s hand, preparing to fly out together with him.

Fisher glanced at the peach blossoms behind her head, held Valentina’s hand, and followed her out of the room, flying towards the top of the Wutong Tree. They soon passed through the grand Sky Gate designed specifically for the Phoenix and emerged into the snow-covered world outside.

At the summit of Sema Snow Mountain lies the most piercing frost snow of the entire Northern Realm. It seems to be the source of all coldness, yet Valentina and Fisher at this moment seemed unfazed, merely ascending all the way until they reached the peak where the Wutong Tree merges with the Snow Mountain—a place overlooking the myriad mountains and valleys below.

"Wow! Wow! Wow!"

Valentina flapped her wings to descend, and only then did the Master Tao behind her speak again,

"Take down the peach blossom branch extending from behind your head. I’ve gathered all of my parts into this peach blossom branch. Once removed from you, there will be no residue left in your body... After that, plant me on this Snow Mountain, and just wait for a while."

"Mm..."

Valentina slowly raised her hand, touched the branch behind her head, and realized the originally tightly linked twig had detached, truly able to be taken down like a hairpin with ease.

But as she caressed the still-warm peach blossom branch, her movement slightly halted, not moving for a long time.

"Trivial?"

Only when that all-too-familiar voice reached her did Valentina slightly tremble. Her eyes reddened slightly, reluctantly looking towards Fisher beside her, and softly said,

"I... have some... Fisher, can you help me take it down, please?"

"...Alright."

Fisher hesitated for a moment, walked behind her, reached out to grab the peach blossom branch at the back of her head, and felt the surging chaos of transformation had completely lost connection with Valentina. Only then did he slightly relax.

Master Tao truly deserved to be, a thousand years ago, the eldest of Tree Continent’s daughters who relied on transformation chaos to support a demigod-lost land. Her control over transformation chaos made Fisher feel inferior upon first encountering it.

The difference probably lies in that Fisher had thoroughly read the Life Completion Manual, but Master Tao went beyond that, adeptly applying its teachings to reality.

Fisher removed the peach blossom branch, then crouched down and planted it into the snow-covered soil.

The snow was thick at this point, so even the sturdy peach blossom could only peep out a little, appearing comically as a single blossom amidst the snowy ground.

Adjusting her posture within the white snow, she looked towards the swirling snow of the Snow Mountain, below the highest point in sight lay space turbulence formed by the root powers of her mother from afar – this moment seemed akin to that moment.

Even Fisher remembered seeing those layer upon layer palaces in the Elf Capital back then, and the golden trees reaching into the sky. She was the mother of all Elves.

"Such unparalleled beauty, nothing else compares..."

The peach blossom branch fluttered in the wind, observing the scenery under the evening sun’s afterglow, though alas, above in the sky, the blazing Gap had thoroughly spread over their heads, large swathes of illusory crimson turning the view impure, leaving Master Tao with an empty sigh,

"Times change, yet feelings remain... a thousand years ago, we, the original Mythical Species and Demigods responsible for defending the world, indulged in internal conflict, forgetting our duties like our predecessors. Back then, the wish to protect my siblings outweighed safeguarding this scarred world... Living once more is a debt to repay for previous neglect."

Valentina took a deep breath, knelt on the ground, while the peach blossom in the snow subtly shivered, sprouting more branches.

Fisher could sense Master Tao was urging on all previously contained transformation chaos to restore her original form, not only consuming excess chaos but also enhancing her own will.

As this process occurred, Master Tao’s voice grew increasingly weary,

"This is good... this process may take over ten hours, once completely finished... then proceed."

"Hoo...hoo...hoo..."

In the howling cold wind, Master Tao’s voice grew quieter, yet the peach tree branches on the ground continued to grow, soon budding into a small peach tree, likely to be fully grown after ten or so hours.

Valentina sat next to the peach tree, pursed her lips at the now silent Master Tao, saying nothing, merely sitting there.

Fisher crouched on the other side of the peach tree, seeing Valentina had not left, he too sat down, gazing up at the spreading crimson hue in the sky, he softly spoke,

"Reluctant?"

"..."

Valentina glanced at Fisher beside her, lowered her head, and after a long time, nodded slightly,

"I... I don’t know either, just feel an emptiness inside."

Fisher watched her, observing her slightly furrowed brows, feeling conflicted and confused at the majestic Snow Mountain before them. Before the divine power of the Demigod that formed the Snow Mountain, a Phoenix seemed so insignificant, especially when this Phoenix was still so young.
