Chapter 1778 - 155: Divine Language 3

  • Next Chapter

I don’t know how the communication between the divine beings is, and Renie hasn’t mentioned it either, but it feels a bit too abstract to rely entirely on remote signaling.

Though among the hundreds of thousands of signals, there are indeed dozens that can be clearly identified as coming from Ramasitia, because the Holy Descendants can only recognize his signals, and even then not completely.

Fisher read it for a bit, and it’s all disjointed, like two sentences’ content, with random single words appearing, the rest being gibberish, and the order of these words makes Fisher somewhat confused. Here’s a rough example:

"Trojan horse...white...sand...you...him...me...return...star..."

That’s basically it, no grammar, no logic, the subject is chaotic, it’s completely incomprehensible that this would be used for communication.

Fisher frowned, looking at these dozens of lines all similar to this type of sentence, feeling a bit skeptical,

"Are you sure this isn’t a decoding error? He usually talks to the Whale-man Species like this?"

"Mr. Fisher, you might be mistaken. The Main God communicates with the Whale-man Species in their language to ensure they understand. But here, in the Spirit Realm, Ramasitia Main God is using His own language, the Divine Language, so it’s very difficult to comprehend."

"...Do gods have languages?"

"Of course, and according to my observation, every divine being uses a distinctly different language. Their language might be a form of signal, a type of fluctuation, possessing logic and usage that ordinary beings find difficult to understand. Each divine being’s language differs greatly, the difference is more significant than between entirely disconnected civilizations’ languages. Gabriel Angel once attempted to decode all the divine beings’ languages but ultimately failed. Even the Heavenly Lock cannot completely understand the Main God’s language, which is why the decoded content is fragmented..."

As David was speaking, he suddenly recalled something and said to Fisher,

"Speaking of which, Gabriel Angel once proposed an interesting hypothesis. She said that Mother Goddess’s language is the same as Ramasitia Main God’s. Although the divine beings can unmistakably master the languages of living creatures in this world, Mother Goddess included, it seems the divine beings also have the concept of a ’mother tongue’, being the language they first mastered. If Mother Goddess’s divine language is the same as the Main God’s, it led her to speculate that the hostility between the Mother Goddess and the gods was not always as it is..."

"..."

Fisher nodded thoughtfully, pondering whether he could ask Renie about these matters.

The idea that the divine beings themselves have languages is quite novel to him. Based on sociological knowledge, the emergence of so-called languages must stem from the need to communicate with other existences, driving creatures to express their messages through carriers, like sound or text. In other words, if there were only one individual, the existence of such a thing would be entirely unnecessary.

So the question arises: the divine beings each have different languages, which means their mother tongues were not meant for communication with other divine beings. At least Ramasitia’s language is clearly not intended for communication with Dalasgon and other divine beings, so who is this language intended for communication with?

Mulling over these temporarily irrelevant matters, Fisher didn’t forget the task he asked for.

He wants to try and communicate with Ramasitia using these signals, since Dalasgon could not be reached, hoping to change tactics to see if he could contact Ramasitia to relay or reveal some information.

So, Fisher noted down the codes on the light screen that could already be deciphered for their meaning, trying to see if he could piece together a meaningful phrase to communicate with Ramasitia.

This really gave Fisher a headache, as the entire thing was filled with nouns like "trojan horse" and "sand", completely unusable, and verbs were scarce. But then again, perhaps as long as it could catch His attention, letting Him know Fisher came to the Spirit Realm hoping for news might be enough.

Under the brainstorming between Fisher and David, the question posed to the divine being, condensed with the entirety of human and artificial intelligence wisdom, emerged on paper, with the content being:

"I, come, I, don’t, know, you, speak."

Just a rearrangement of words according to the angel’s grammar, not knowing if Ramasitia would be able to understand.

Once the content was edited, Fisher nervously sent the signal. Watching the "Send Success" message on the light screen, Fisher glanced at David beside him, who blinked and said with a smile,

"Mr. Fisher, we might be the second batch of living beings to communicate with the divine beings in their language after the Holy Descendants."

"...Is this worth pride? I’d rather have an unimpeded communication using a language both I and He can understand...By the way, sending such a message shouldn’t alert the Spirit Realm Pollution outside, right?"

"It shouldn’t. I previously sent out signals upon receiving unknown cardinal signals, and the pollution didn’t show any obvious change. It doesn’t have intelligence, and aside from Lord Main God and Mother Goddess, nobody can understand what’s in the messages we send out."

"That’s good..."

"Beep beep beep beep!"

Just as Fisher breathed a sigh of relief, the data on the light screen suddenly started to agitate, drawing Fisher and David’s attention,

"Mr. Fisher, we’ve received a signal, likely a response from Lord Main God!"

Fisher’s heart also quickened as he hurriedly opened the signal received, the response was simple, without any objection, being a symbol from the divine language that David and Fisher had recognized earlier, roughly translating to:

"?"

Yes, it was just a question mark.

Fisher and David exchanged glances and suddenly had headaches. It seems even the sagacious Main God could not decipher their abstract divine language.

David remained optimistic, comforting Fisher instead,

"Mr. Fisher, this is good news, it at least shows we’ve successfully made contact with Lord Main God!"

"...Right, but I doubt He would come personally, since the Sanctuary seems to be close to the Spirit Realm Pollution. I’ve heard the divine beings are on full alert near the Boundary; I wonder what’s happening over there..."

"Are you well aware of the divine beings’ movements, Mr. Fisher, who did you hear this from?"

"Woman...mine."

"Oh, alright...then are we still..."

"Beep beep beep beep!"

Just as David was considering sending another polished message, the signal receiver in front of them beeped again, another return message from Ramasitia.

Fisher hurriedly opened it again, and it was even more bizarre this time, entirely gibberish, not even a single recognizable word or punctuation mark.

"...Outlandish, previously, among the dozens we checked, each line had at least one or two recognizable words, but now there’s none."

"No, Mr. Fisher, it’s impossible there’s none, unless..."

David pondered for two seconds, then suddenly realized something, quickly began tapping the light screen, changing the signal translation code,

"Unless, Lord Main God’s response is no longer in His language, He knows we can’t understand His language, so He’s using our Sanctuary’s signal method!"

Fisher raised an eyebrow, skepticism evident as he looked at the screen, but upon David changing the signal translation code, the former gibberish suddenly turned into a line of clear angelic script, reading:

"Within the Boundary, the only way the Chaotic Creation can successfully assassinate Dalasgon is by entering His scarred body."
