Delicate Villainess, Desperate Males – A Beast World Reverse Harem
Chapter 454 - 451: Kiss Me
Chapter 454: Chapter 451: Kiss Me
The snowstorm intensified, howling as it battered the heavy animal-hide flap of the stone house doorway.
Jiao Yin approached, his tall frame shrouded in a frigid aura, carrying several snow deer and rock sheep frozen stiff on his shoulders.
He was surprised to find that Hua Han wasn’t clinging to Bai Wanwan’s side as usual, or teasing the cubs, but was instead sitting alone outside in the wind and snow.
Holding a thin Bone Needle, he was clumsily poking a small piece of animal hide.
"Why aren’t you inside with Wanwan and the cubs?"
Jiao Yin set down the heavy prey. Ice Crystals rustled off him, melting into small wet patches on the ground.
He asked in a low voice as he brushed the snowflakes from his animal hide robe.
Hua Han didn’t even look up. The Bone Needle stabbed his finger hard, and he let out a hiss, tossing the thing aside in irritation. His tone was sour. "Accompany her? Her real Beast Husband is in there with her, doting on her and whispering sweet nothings. Why would she need me getting in the way?"
He sounded as if he had just swallowed a bitter fruit.
Jiao Yin’s tall body suddenly stiffened, his movements halting as he brushed off the snow.
He snapped his gaze up, his eyes piercing through the dim light to lock onto the ajar wooden door, obscured by the heavy animal hide.
The inside of the house was quiet. The cubs seemed to be sleeping soundly after eating their fill, leaving only the crackling of firewood in the fire pit.
But if one listened closely, a female’s soft, worried voice and a male’s deep, steady response could be faintly heard through the gap in the door flap.
"Are they okay?" It was Bai Wanwan’s voice, thick with worry.
During this time, her deepest fear wasn’t for her own safety, but for her Beast Husbands.
She was afraid they would lose their minds over her disappearance, afraid they would do something reckless without any regard for their own safety.
Yin Ze’s weary voice carried a comforting strength. "Aside from worrying about you day and night, no one was injured. Everyone is physically fine."
He paused, seeming to squeeze her hand as his voice grew lower. "We found Roger... We wounded him badly and got your laser gun back, but unfortunately, we couldn’t kill him. He ended up jumping into the sea and disappeared."
"Roger..." Bai Wanwan pressed her lips together tightly.
If Roger had gone about things differently, perhaps she wouldn’t have been so opposed to accepting him.
But he just had to kidnap her, and he chose to do it at the most important moment of her life, tearing her away from her Beast Husbands like that.
Roger’s obsessive actions made her grind her teeth in frustration.
"Then we’ll set out tomorrow! They must be frantic with worry."
Outside the doorway, Jiao Yin’s breathing grew imperceptibly quiet. Hua Han had already crept closer, his face tense.
Her words struck Hua Han’s heart like a bolt of lightning, and his face paled slightly.
’If she leaves, what will I do?’
Yin Ze’s steady voice rang out just in time, like a pillar of strength. "Wanwan, we can’t go yet."
"It’s freezing outside, the snow is waist-deep, and the cold wind could sweep a bird from the sky. It’s far too dangerous to fly across that violent ocean with you and the cubs. I can’t let you take that risk."
His tone was decisive, the result of careful thought. "I’ll return to the other shore alone tomorrow to tell them you’re safe and put their minds at ease. Then I’ll come back and spend the winter with you. When spring comes, the flowers bloom, the ice and snow melt, and the sea is calm, we’ll go home together. How does that sound?"
Outside the doorway, Hua Han’s heart, which had been lodged in his throat, dropped back into his chest. He let out a long, silent sigh of relief.
His clenched fists slowly relaxed, his palms slick with cold sweat.
’There’s still a chance...!’
He composed his expression and glanced at Jiao Yin, who was also silent.
He put a perfectly crafted, concerned smile back on his face, then reached out, lifted the door flap, and walked inside.
"Yin Ze is right, it’s too risky to leave now."
He joined the conversation naturally, his gaze sweeping over Yin Ze’s travel-worn yet still handsome face and Bai Wanwan’s slightly reddened eyes. "Yin Ze, you must be exhausted after flying across the entire ocean. Get something to eat first, then get a good night’s rest to recover your strength."
He walked to a corner and deftly took out the best-smoked, fattiest cuts of meat and some stored dried fruit, offering them to Yin Ze in a friendly manner.
Bai Wanwan nodded quickly, looking at Yin Ze with heartache. "Yes, just look at you. You’re so tired your face has thinned, and your eyes are sunken. Stop just talking and eat something."
She reached out and gently brushed a few strands of hair from Yin Ze’s forehead, the gesture natural and intimate.
Yin Ze looked at the food before him, then glanced up at Hua Han and said, "Thanks."
He was indeed famished, and his exhaustion was bone-deep.
His craving for food was intense. He swallowed quickly, yet he didn’t appear crude in the slightest.
This was the most satisfying and reassuring meal he’d had since leaving the other shore.
The feeling of a full stomach and the relief of finding Wanwan finally allowed his taut nerves to relax.
Night fell, and inside the cave, only the embers in the fire pit gave off a final warmth.
After washing up, Yin Ze naturally slept with Bai Wanwan on the stone bed, which was covered with the thickest, softest animal hides. The cubs slept soundly in their small nest nearby.
Hua Han lay on his own cold bedding, tossing and turning. The dry grass beneath him rustled, mirroring his restless heart.
His eyes were wide open, staring in the direction of the inner room, even though he couldn’t see anything through the curtain.
But in there was everything he had ever dreamed of.
That male had just arrived and had effortlessly taken the place he’d craved day and night!
His fingers curled into a fist. ’I will get my chance to lie beside her, openly and rightfully!’
On the stone bed, Bai Wanwan was like a fledgling returning to its nest, snuggling affectionately in Yin Ze’s broad, warm embrace. She drew in his familiar scent, which made her anchorless heart finally find a harbor.
Yin Ze’s arm was wrapped around her, the hold gentle yet possessive.
He could, of course, see the desire the two males outside had for Wanwan, and his arm tightened unconsciously.
He tried his best to suppress his surging desire, deliberately keeping his breathing steady and slow.
But with his beloved female pressed against him, her soft curves and the faint, sweet scent from her neck were a constant challenge to the self-control he prided himself on.
His body was as taut as a fully drawn bow, and each breath grew heavier and hotter.
In the darkness, Bai Wanwan could clearly feel the change in his body and his suppressed desire.
She tilted her head up and, in the darkness, accurately found his tightly pressed lips, initiating a soft kiss that was both comforting and teasing.
"Silly..." she murmured against his lips, her warm breath brushing against his jaw. "I’m truly right here with you... You don’t have to hold back."
The touch of her lips made Yin Ze’s breath catch. "Wanwan..."
"Kiss me."
