Chapter 453: Chapter 450: He Is Her Beast Husband

He was an Ocean Beastman; red meat from the land was difficult for him to digest and barely sated his hunger.

During this time, he had never once complained, silently enduring his physical discomfort and leaving all the best meat from the hunt for Bai Wanwan and the cubs.

He had never thought she would notice, much less dared to hope she would prepare something just for him.

Bai Wanwan just gave a faint smile, deflecting the question of her methods. "I have my ways. Just take it with you."

Her smile held a hint of barely perceptible concern.

Jiao Yin felt the Beast Skin Bag in his hands turn scorching hot.

He gripped the bag tightly, his knuckles turning pale from the force.

’How can she be this good?’

’So good that it makes me feel like nothing I do for her is ever enough.’

The fondness and longing hidden deep in his heart surged like a tidal wave, instantly overwhelming all his reason.

He could no longer control his body’s instincts. His towering frame leaned toward her. Under the pretext of tightening the loose beast skin robe she wore, he wrapped his arms around her with a force that was both irresistible and infinitely tender, pulling her gently into his embrace.

The embrace was tinged with the chill of ice and snow, but it also carried the scalding emotions he had suppressed for so long, which were now on the verge of erupting.

His chin rested lightly on the crown of her head as he greedily drank in her warm, comforting scent.

The cave was silent, save for the cold wind whining at its entrance.

Jiao Yin’s heart hammered in his chest. ’I wish this moment could last forever.’

’I wish I could hold her like this until the end of time!’

"Wanwan," his voice was terribly hoarse, thick with reluctance. "You should sleep a little longer... I’m going now."

It took nearly all his strength to force himself to release her.

He didn’t dare look at her again, afraid that one more glance would root him to the spot. He turned and strode out into the biting wind and snow, his retreating figure a mixture of resolve and panic.

Hua Han had been leaning in the shadows against the cave wall, taking it all in.

Watching Jiao Yin’s embrace, an unavoidable sourness welled up inside him, like he’d bitten into an unripe wild fruit.

But he quickly suppressed the feeling.

He knew full well that he and Jiao Yin were on the same side for now.

Bai Wanwan shut the heavy cave door, sealing out the wind and snow. When she turned, she saw Hua Han leaning against the doorframe.

Hua Han walked over with a smile, bringing with him his unique scent—a mixture of sunshine and pinewood.

He casually reached out, his fingertips lightly brushing Bai Wanwan’s cheek in an intimate gesture. "You’ve got some soot on your face. Let me get that for you."

The pads of his fingers were warm and lightly calloused, gently grazing her delicate skin.

Hua Han had originally intended to get her used to his touch and affection little by little, but he found her expression largely unchanged.

He, on the other hand, found his thoughts thrown into chaos the moment he touched her.

Her sweet scent and soft body were making him lose control.

Sensing the male’s ragged breathing and stiff posture, Bai Wanwan looked at him with a knowing smile and even leaned in a little closer. "What’s wrong?"

Hua Han’s voice was raspy. "N-nothing..."

With that, he let her go, turned, and fled the stone room.

Hua Han needed to cool down. His mating season had come early; just a simple embrace with the female was enough to stir an uncontrollable urge in him.

To avoid doing something wrong and earning Wanwan’s disgust, he had to force himself to stay away.

For the next two days, Bai Wanwan deliberately teased him, but he could only continue to avoid her for the time being.

Even so, he was in a wonderful mood every day.

Another day, he was walking back with a stone jar full of fresh water, mulling over how Wanwan had eaten two extra sweet berries that morning. He decided he would go to a more distant valley that afternoon to see if he could find any more.

However, just as he was about to reach the entrance to the cave, a sight struck him like a bolt of lightning.

There, in the sheltered entrance of the cave, Bai Wanwan was being held tightly in the arms of a tall male!

The male’s back was to him, but his build was powerful and straight, his arm wrapped possessively around her waist in an incredibly intimate posture.

Rage instantly consumed Hua Han’s reason. The stone jar in his hand CRASHED onto the frozen ground, sending water splashing everywhere!

Like a thoroughly enraged Fierce Beast, a low growl rumbled in his throat. He shot forward like an arrow loosed from a bow, his entire being radiating a furious intent to tear the other male to shreds.

"Let her go!" Hua Han roared, his sharp claws already extended.

The male holding Bai Wanwan spun around, instantly summoning his Talent Power.

"Hua Han, stop!" Bai Wanwan’s urgent voice rang out as she broke free from the male’s embrace and moved to stand between them.

She looked at Hua Han’s crimson eyes and hurriedly explained, "Don’t fight! He’s my Beast Husband!"

’Beast Husband?’

Those two words were like a bucket of ice water dumped over his head, instantly extinguishing Hua Han’s furious rage but replacing it with an even more bone-chilling cold.

Only then did he get a clear look at the male standing behind Bai Wanwan.

He was tall and handsome, and his eyes were sizing Hua Han up with a scrutinizing gaze.

That face... it was Yin Ze, one of Bai Wanwan’s six Beast Husbands.

’They... they found her?’

Hua Han felt a cold dread wash over him.

’He hadn’t even won Wanwan’s heart yet, and her Beast Husbands were already here.’

’Did he even stand a chance anymore?’

Yin Ze had initially been wary and defensive toward this hostile fox male, who clearly had designs on Wanwan.

He instinctively moved to pull Bai Wanwan behind him, but she grabbed his arm. "Yin Ze, he won’t hurt me. He and Jiao Yin saved me."

The moment he heard the words "he saved me," the coldness in Yin Ze’s eyes vanished, replaced by sincere gratitude.

He stepped forward and performed the formal Beastman gesture of ultimate gratitude toward Hua Han. "Thank you... Thank you so much for saving my female. I, Yin Ze, will never forget this debt. From this day forward, if there is anything you ever need, I will not refuse."

His attitude was sincere and respectful.

Hua Han suppressed the panic and bitterness in his heart, forcing a reasonably composed smile. "It was the right thing to do. You don’t need to thank me," he replied politely.

Though his words were courteous, his heart felt as if it had sunk into a bottomless, icy abyss. His eyes darted around, searching for Bai Wanwan’s other Beast Husbands.

"Wanwan, Zhu Xiu and the others can’t make it for now. The storm in that sea is too violent. I could barely make it through myself; there was no way I could carry them..."

Yin Ze quickly explained to Bai Wanwan that it wasn’t that Zhu Xiu and the others didn’t want to come—they simply couldn’t.

Hua Han, standing to the side, pricked up his ears and listened intently.

Yin Ze’s words were like a faint glimmer of light piercing the darkness that had enveloped him.

The tight line of his lips relaxed. ’Thank goodness those other powerful Beastmen couldn’t make it. If it’s just Yin Ze, I still have a chance.’

His expression immediately changed to a warm smile as he eagerly invited Yin Ze inside. "It’s cold out here. Come in, come in and we can talk."

Bai Wanwan took Yin Ze’s hand and turned. "Yes, let’s go inside."
