Chapter 187: Chapter 187: There’s This Kind of Good Stuff?

"Who is it?"

She walked slowly to the door and asked softly.

"My name is Jin Yuan. I saw you move in a couple of days ago. We just happened to pick some fruit at my place, so I thought I’d bring some over."

Bai Wanwan peeked through the crack in the door and saw a round face with large eyes twinkling with friendliness.

Only then did she reach out and open the door.

Jin Yuan was all smiles, holding a basin of purplish-red fruit. Each piece was plump, juicy, and about the size of a thumb.

They looked incredibly tempting.

She pointed ahead and to the left. "I just live over there... Can I come hang out with you in the future?"

Looking at the other woman’s endearing, round face, Bai Wanwan felt a sense of goodwill.

She didn’t refuse the kind gesture. "Thank you. Next time I make something tasty, I’ll bring some over for you too."

Just as Jin Yuan was about to nod in agreement, a female’s voice suddenly called out from the side.

"Jin Yuan, get over here!"

Jin Yuan seemed very good-natured. The moment the other female called, she immediately smiled and replied, "Okay, coming!"

Bai Wanwan didn’t know that female. She took the fruit and planned to go back inside.

The moment she turned, she caught the female glaring at her with a hostile gaze while whispering something to Jin Yuan.

Jin Yuan glanced in her direction, her expression a bit awkward, and seemed to argue with the other female for a moment.

But that had nothing to do with her. She closed the door and went straight inside.

The fruit looked delicious, but she had no intention of eating it right away.

She didn’t recognize most of the plants in the Beast World. She’d have to wait for the males to return and confirm they were safe to eat.

When she came in, she saw Shi Hua looking drowsy, so she stood up to help her. "It’s not comfortable to sleep sitting here. Let me help you to the room."

The cub in Shi Hua’s belly hadn’t been born yet, and she was getting sleepier by the day.

She groggily let Bai Wanwan help her into the room to lie down.

Shi Hua fell into a deep sleep. Bai Wanwan sat quietly to the side and, out of sheer boredom, opened her system panel.

One, Daily Necessities; Two, Food; Three, Medicine; Four, Furniture; Five, Home Goods; Six, Apparel; Seven, Beauty; Eight, Building Materials.

The subsequent options were grayed out, some even blank. She had no idea what they were.

But Bai Wanwan had a hunch that the later options definitely held heaven-defyingly good things.

She clicked on Daily Necessities to take a look, then exited and clicked on Beauty.

She went through them one by one, finally clicking on the Medicine tab.

The medicines were incredibly varied. There were even antibiotics and fever reducers, but most were miraculous pills with amazing effects.

She dragged the page all the way to the bottom and suddenly saw some medicines with very strange names.

Itching powder?

Diarrhea Powder?

Skin-Darkening Powder?

Pimple Powder?

’What is this stuff?’

Bai Wanwan was incredibly curious. If she weren’t trying to save Points to lift the Dark Curse from Zhu Xiu, she might have redeemed one immediately just to see what it was.

For now, all she could do was stare longingly.

The system, Hua Sheng, didn’t know she was just looking and had no intention of buying anything. It hurriedly spoke up to stop her.

"Host, you must be careful with these items. If you get even a little on you by accident, you’ll be in for a miserable time."

"Oh? Then give me the details on them."

Hua Sheng’s voice sounded again. "If you get itching powder on you, your body will become unbearably itchy. You’ll keep scratching and scratching, and even scratching your skin raw won’t stop the itch."

Bai Wanwan’s eyes lit up as she heard this. She immediately pressed, "Then the Diarrhea Powder... does a single touch give you the kind of unstoppable, explosive diarrhea that you can’t plug up?"

"Correct. So, Host, you must be extremely careful."

"Uh-huh. So what about the Skin-Darkening Powder and Pimple Powder?"

"A touch of Skin-Darkening Powder, and your snow-white skin will become pitch-black within a day."

"This one’s great!"

Bai Wanwan’s eyes darted around as she continued to ask, "And the Pimple Powder?"

"Pimple Powder will make a Beastman’s entire body break out in pimples."

’Such great stuff. Why am I only discovering it now?’

The main reason was that she needed to save her Points, which had curbed her desire to shop.

Especially the medicine section—she had no need for it, so she’d barely even opened it.

And when she did open it, she never scrolled to the bottom.

’To think such wonderful things were hidden down there!’

Seeing her delighted expression, Hua Sheng couldn’t help but remind her, "Host, if you misuse these things and get them on yourself, there’s no antidote."

The smile vanished from Bai Wanwan’s face. "No antidote? So if I get the Skin-Darkening Powder on me, my skin will be as black as charcoal for the rest of my life?"

She had thought this stuff could be her secret weapon, but if there was no antidote, one mistake could mean the prank backfiring on her. That would be a colossal joke.

"It’s not that serious. Under normal circumstances, the effects will fade on their own in three days."

Bai Wanwan breathed a sigh of relief but couldn’t resist asking one more thing. "But if they have explosive diarrhea for three days straight, wouldn’t that kill a Beastman?"

"Host need not worry. A Beastman’s constitution is much better than a human’s. Three days of diarrhea won’t take his whole life, half a life at most."

"Not bad, not bad."

Bai Wanwan was very satisfied. She calculated in her head that she shouldn’t use this stuff lightly, but if it came down to it and she had no other choice, she could resort to it.

Seeing it was getting late, Bai Wanwan got up to start cooking.

Just as she reached the kitchen, Yan Lie pushed the door open and came in.

"Why are you back?"

Bai Wanwan turned and looked behind him, noticing he had returned alone.

Steam was still rising from Yan Lie’s body. Bai Wanwan turned, grabbed a fine cotton cloth hanging on the wall, walked over to him, and raised her hand to wipe the sweat from his forehead.

Yan Lie grasped her wrist, his eyes filled with joy. "Wanwan, I have good news! We caught a Cannibal Fish! Tsk... that thing was ferocious. It almost bit Mu Feng."

Bai Wanwan’s expression changed. "Is Mu Feng okay? Are you all all right?"

"He’s fine. We’re starting to get the hang of it, and our teamwork is pretty good. Just you wait. Tonight, we’ll bring you back at least three."

After speaking, he stretched out his long arms, gave her a tight hug, and only reluctantly let go after a long moment.

"I just came back to check on you. Since you’re fine, I have to go back and help."

"Okay. Tell them safety comes first. Don’t get greedy."

Yan Lie left, looking back every few steps. He waved at her. "Okay! We brought dried meat, so you don’t have to wait for us to eat."

Yan Lie had returned in a hurry, and he left in a hurry.

Bai Wanwan watched until his figure disappeared before slowly closing the door.

Just as she closed it, she seemed to hear a SPLASH, like water being thrown.

Then, a foul stench drifted in from outside.

Bai Wanwan quickly pulled the door open again, only to see several females standing outside, laughing boisterously.

On the stone ground by the entrance, a mixture of feces and urine covered the floor, the stench overwhelming.

Bai Wanwan almost threw up last night’s dinner.

She took two steps back, fighting the stench, and looked at the row of females outside. "Who did this?"

"Didn’t see."

"Did you see?"

"Nope."

The females snickered, their faces full of schadenfreude.

Bai Wanwan knew that even if not all of them had thrown the filth, they were all involved.

"I’ll ask one more time. Who did this?"

This time, the females simply ignored her, each wearing an expression that said, ’I know, but I’m not telling. What can you do about it?’

Bai Wanwan was truly angry now. All she wanted was to live her own quiet life in the Golden Lion Tribe, but these females, with nothing better to do all day, just had to come and stir up trouble.

If they had just run their mouths a bit, she might not have been this furious.

But to fucking throw filth on her doorstep, to dare to disgust her like this—that was simply unforgivable!
