Bai Wanwan set down what she was holding and said to Shi Hua, "Shi Hua, could you start stringing these for me? I’m going to go check on something out back."

"Of course, sister. Go on."

Bai Wanwan turned and walked briskly toward the backyard.

"Yan Lie, were you calling me?"

"Wanwan, hurry over here."

Yan Lie closed the distance in a few strides and swept her up into his arms.

His hands brushed against a ticklish spot, and Bai Wanwan couldn’t help but laugh as she tried to squirm away. "What are you doing?"

Yan Lie, completely oblivious, saw her radiant smile and felt a tickle in his own throat. He pulled her even tighter.

Bai Wanwan laughingly slapped at his hands. "Yan Lie, let me go!"

It was so ticklish that she kept wriggling, and the friction made Yan Lie’s entire body go rigid. He quickly set her down on the lounge chair.

Bai Wanwan finally stopped laughing and relaxed. Just as she looked up to say something to Yan Lie, she saw him turn and walk away, his expression looking unnatural.

’What’s wrong with him?’

Bai Wanwan averted her gaze and looked toward Xin Feng, who was standing a couple of meters away.

Xin Feng was a male, too; of course he knew the powerful effect a beloved female’s sweet laughter could have when she was in one’s arms.

Especially since Yan Lie hadn’t even mated with Wanwan yet.

"It’s nothing, don’t mind him. Is there anything uncomfortable about lying down? Test it out. If anything feels off, I can adjust it now."

The lounge chair was very spacious; she had enough room to roll over completely.

And Bai Wanwan did just that, rolling from side to side. It was perfectly level and sturdy.

’With a cooling mat in the summer and a cushion in the winter, this would be absolutely perfect.’

As she was enthusiastically rolling about, Xin Feng walked over, squatted down beside her, and steadied the backrest.

"Does the backrest need to be adjusted?"

Bai Wanwan sat up and leaned back against it. "No, this angle is perfect."

’A lazy person like me is perfect for a backrest that lets you lie almost completely flat.’

Xin Feng gave it another thoughtful inspection before letting Bai Wanwan continue rolling around on it.

After rolling around for a good while, Bai Wanwan remembered she still had work to do.

"Is that enough?"

He watched as the female’s skirt swayed, her graceful and nimble figure disappearing from view.

Bai Wanwan walked into the house with a light step. Just as she was about to approach Shi Hua, an arm tightened around her waist, and she felt the scorching heat of a male pressed against her.

She didn’t need to guess; she knew it was that passionate leopard behind her.

She simply relaxed back against his shoulder. "What’s wrong?"

The leopard sounded a little jealous, his voice husky. "I saw that just now."

Bai Wanwan tilted her head, glancing back at him and teasing him with a playful smile. "Oh? And what did you see?"

Yan Lie lowered his head and kissed her captivating eyes. "I saw you kiss him. I want one, too."

Wanwan’s lips curved into a smile. "Didn’t you just get your kiss?"

Yan Lie’s gaze drifted down to her lips, as beautiful as flower petals. "I want you to kiss me the way you kissed him."

Unlike Zhu Xiu’s assertiveness, Yan Lie’s pitiful, pleading look could soften anyone’s heart.

In the end, she couldn’t bring herself to tease him any longer. She turned around and draped her slender arms over his sturdy shoulders.

Under Yan Lie’s fiery, expectant gaze, Bai Wanwan rose onto her tiptoes and slowly leaned in.

Even before their lips met, she could feel his heart thumping wildly and the heat radiating from his entire body.

It was like being in a steamer, threatening to melt her right along with him.
