Even after hearing what Riven had said, Label still doubted herself tremendously. She was unable to completely believe any of it right away.

"Am I really what you’re saying?" she asked, averting her gaze from Riven. "I... I am worthless... useless..." She started crying softly. "Dad died because... of me... please... please leave... I... I am not worth anything, sir... I—"

"Riven," he said gently, patting her small hands. "Call me Riven."

"...?"

"Look, Label. In this world there are special classes named Growth-type Classes," he explained carefully. "Yours is one of them."

"Eh? What... does that mean?" She was very slow to understand sometimes, just like he remembered her being.

It was a good thing Riven had a lot of patience. He quickly explained to her what he meant in simpler terms, though the explanation left her even more confused than before.

"N-No way I am that kind of class..." she said, shaking her head firmly. "I... Am I really...?"

"But that’s beside the point right now," Riven said, steering the conversation forward. "Right now, let’s do something together. I want to see what you’ve made."

"Ah! R-Right!" She stood up quickly and ran toward a wooden box full of her handmade items. "I forgot I should be selling my stuff... And I went and cried instead... s-sorry..."

"It’s fine," Riven nodded calmly.

Label cleared her throat and began showing him her work. "Um, this is the potion I am making... and this is the antidote... it works on several types of poisons... I think."

"..."

Riven carefully examined both items. Just as he had expected from the system information he had read earlier, they were incredible.

Despite being listed as F-Rank Items, their actual effects were equal to proper D-Rank medicine.

This was a hidden effect born from Label’s own Novice Mixer Class.

Her unique skills allowed her to craft higher-tiered medicine even when using the lowest ranked materials available.

Even some shoddy medicinal herb, a single spirit leaf, and a low-ranked mana stone were more than enough for her to produce outstanding results.

"And... how much are these Yakuza paying you for these?" Riven asked, narrowing his eyes.

"T-They say they aren’t worth more than thirty dollars each..." she muttered, swallowing hard. "Is it bad?"

"..."

Riven’s eyebrows twitched for a moment in pure irritation.

Thirty dollars?

"Label, this is worth at least a few hundred," said Riven firmly. "Each."

"...?" Label looked completely puzzled. "But they said that my medicine and drugs weren’t even worth a damn..."

"Your Novice Mixer Class might seem weak because it doesn’t allow more than two ingredients to be mixed together at once," explained Riven. "But that’s also the true source of its power. The more you limit the ingredients and the more raw mana the mixture absorbs, the higher the quality becomes. The final product ends up less toxic and better tasting as well."

"It does cost a lot of mana..." she nodded in quiet agreement. "No wonder I’m always so tired. But nothing that a small nap can’t fix!"

"A small nap...?"

A small nap definitely did not recover someone from being completely emptied of mana. Label did not even realize it yet, but her Mana Regeneration was already incredibly fast for her level.

"Look."

Riven took out something from his storage ring — another potion — so he could compare the two side by side. This one was a standard F-Rank potion bought directly from Claymore Pharmaceuticals.

Then he took a knife and deliberately cut his own hand, causing it to bleed profusely.

"Wha...?!" Label panicked at the sudden self-inflicted wound.

"This is the F-Rank potion sold on the open market for two hundred dollars," said Riven calmly.

He poured the commercial potion onto the wound while deliberately deactivating any regenerative abilities within his body.

Grayish smoke rose from the injury. The bleeding barely stopped, but the wound still looked painful and raw. Even after he poured out the entire bottle, the healing process simply stopped halfway.

"The entire bottle’s contents cannot even properly and fully heal a single wound," he said. "As you can see, these mass-produced potions are filled with artificial derivatives created inside their laboratories from cheap mana crystals. They make the production cost as low as possible so the profits can be as high as imaginable."

Label continued watching in silence after giving a simple nod.

Then Riven created a second identical wound on his other hand after regenerating the first one with his own innate abilities. He poured Label’s potion onto the fresh cut.

FLASH!

The wound not only stopped bleeding instantly, but the flesh also mended together smoothly and the skin healed over it, barely leaving any scar at all.

When he poured around half of the bottle, there was no scar left whatsoever. The skin became incredibly smooth, almost as if it had been gently rejuvenated.

"Eh...?"

Label was someone who had remained completely clueless about her own abilities throughout her entire childhood because of the constant abuse she had suffered.

And those damned "American Yakuza" had been deliberately downplaying her talent for years.

"Now," he said, looking her straight in the eyes. "What do you think, Label? Who should you be believing here?"

"I-I..."

Label’s entire world turned upside down in that moment. The first thing she tried to do was deny the truth that was right in front of her.

"No, it can’t be possible... Did you put them in the wrong order? Maybe... ugh, maybe this..."

"Enough."

"...!"

"Stop thinking that you’re worthless, and stop thinking that you’re useless, Label! Your father gave his life for you because he loved you! Are you going to let those bastards dictate the rest of your life?!"

"But... I... What can I even do?"

"What can you do? Well, first of all, let’s take care of them."

"How? Wait! If you do something, they’ll come after you and then... and then...!"

"It’s fine."

Riven suddenly opened a dimensional portal behind him, shocking her beyond belief.

"I believe there’s a way to move your entire place into a safer location if you’d like. Plus, when someone dies inside a dungeon, nobody gives a damn, right? With this, we don’t even have to worry about any evidence."

"W-Wha...! A gate?! You can...! You can open them yourself?!"
