Delayed for Four Lifetimes: I Awaken by Investing in My Crippled Wife
Chapter 369: The Power Of Spiritites, A New Way To Grow Stronger!
-----
This Spiritite was something like a piece of "Spiritual Equipment" that he could place inside his Divine Spiritual Heart’s Spirit Sea. It would become part of that inner world without being consumed, allowing Quetzalcoatl’s remaining spiritual power to exist within him.
By "equipping" it within his Spirit Sea, he would be able to slowly develop the skills, spells, magic, and powers Quetzalcoatl had possessed in his prime. He would not gain complete mastery immediately, but even a fraction of that power could strengthen him greatly.
In his prime, Quetzalcoatl had been an SSS-Rank being. Even after everything the Esper had lost, the power inside the Spiritite was far beyond anything Riven had expected. If he could properly use it, this would be a massive leap forward.
And...
Ding!
[Your Divine Spirit Heart’s Spirit Sea is reacting to the item in your hands.]
[The Item: [Spiritite: Quetzalcoatl, the King of the Skies, SSS-Rank] can be bound to your Spirit Sea.]
[Do you wish to place this Spiritite within your Spirit Sea? Once the binding is complete, it cannot be reversed.]
[Yes] [No]
"It can’t be reversed?" Riven wondered, staring at the jewel in his hand. Binding it meant carrying Quetzalcoatl’s remaining power permanently, along with the responsibility that came with it. Still, he had already accepted the Esper’s final request, and refusing now would accomplish nothing. He released a long sigh and nodded. "Okay... do it."
FLAAASH!
His Spirit Sea surged wildly as the Spiritite was absorbed into Riven’s body. The jewel dissolved in his palm and disappeared in a glistening explosion of rainbow light, sending streams of color through his arms and into his chest. His Divine Spiritual Heart began pounding faster, pulling every trace of that power inward.
An immense amount of Spiritual Power and Magic Power erupted from within him, encompassing Riven’s body, soul, and spirit all at once. Every nerve burned as the energy rushed through him, but there was no rejection or anything like that.
FLUOSH!
His Spirit Sea continued to expand, creating enough space to contain the relic with utmost ease!
At the same time, he felt a new heart pulsing within his Spirit Sea. The unexpected sensation startled him. It beat in rhythm with his Divine Spiritual Heart, growing stronger with each pulse as golden and green energy spread across the inner world within it.
Quetzalcoatl’s might manifested above Riven. His aura took the form of a gigantic golden-beaked bird with the long tail of a serpent, enormous wings, sharp talons, and feathers shining with countless colors. The spiritual image spread its wings wide enough to cover everything on a massive shadow, releasing waves of wind and elemental power in every direction.
"CRYAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
Ignias, Daniela, and Label stared at the scene in awe, almost screaming a little. Ignias immediately recognized Quetzalcoatl’s true form, while the others raised their arms to shield themselves from the force of his aura. The great Esper looked down on Riven one last time. Then his enormous figure broke apart into streams of multicolored light and fused completely with him.
And then...
Ding!
[You have successfully bound yourself to the [Spiritite: Quetzalcoatl, the King of the Skies, SSS-Rank]!]
[+2,500,000 Vitality.]
[+10,000,000 Mana.]
[+2,500,000 Strength.]
[+2,500,000 Endurance.]
[+5,000,000 Intelligence.]
[+10,000,000 Agility.]
[+20,000,000 Spirit.]
Riven saw a cascade of new stat bonuses appear before his eyes, and the changes took effect immediately. His body felt much stronger, his agility had doubled, and his spirit energy had tripled.
Every time he breathed, it felt like more spiritual energy filled him with more power than before, while his senses became sharper and his movements felt easier to control.
However, the Spiritite had given him something even more valuable than those enormous increases in stats.
He had gained a powerful new Skill!
[You learned the Skill: [Summon Esper: Quetzalcoatl, King of the Skies, Level 1]: Channel a large amount of Spiritual Energy to temporarily summon a Spiritual Manifestation of Quetzalcoatl, King of the Skies, for up to 10 minutes. Once summoned, Quetzalcoatl will battle independently and will not listen to orders. However, he will fight to protect you and your allies while defeating any enemies in his path with the power of Thunder and Wind. Each increase in Skill Level extends the summoning duration by an additional 10 minutes and increases the Spiritual Manifestation’s Power by 100%. At higher levels, the Spiritual Manifestation will begin listening to orders.]
[Your Titan Mana Heart, Titan Magic Circle, and Divine Spirit Heart have reacted to the Spiritite’s power. Their Growth Speed has increased by 100%.]
[The Essence of Quetzalcoatl’s Spiritite has fused with your Magic Organs. You have gained an Innate SSS-Rank Affinity with the Thunder and Wind Elements.]
[By leveling up, fighting, practicing magic, and growing stronger, you can further develop new Spells related to Quetzalcoatl. The power and number of these Spells will increase alongside your bond with the Spiritite.]
[Your Spiritite has developed the Wind and Thunder Spells: [Gale Force] and [Static Pulse]!]
[The Power of these Spells increases by 300% when used while Quetzalcoatl’s Spiritual Manifestation is summoned in combat.]
"?!"
Riven stared at the notifications in shock. He had gained millions of stat points, an SSS-Rank elemental affinity, a summoning Skill, and two Spells on top of everything else. The rewards were far greater than he had imagined. He could already feel the knowledge of the new magic inside his mind, showing him how to call upon it and shape it.
His hands suddenly blazed with power. True lightning crackled around his right arm, jumping between his fingers in bright golden arcs. At the same time, cutting winds gathered around his left hand, spinning fast enough to leave thin marks across the floor. The two elements reacted to one another, increasing in speed whenever he brought them closer together.
Riven slowly closed his hands and forced the magic to settle down before it damaged his surroundings even more. The ability to control these magic elements came to him more naturally than he’d expected, most likely because of his new affinities.
