Riven vomited a mouthful of blood as the spear struck deep into his stomach. The weapon pulled out thick streams of blood while absorbing it hungrily like a vampiric blade.

"Hah!"

Kagehisa leaped toward Riven as the latter groaned in pain, only for Riven to smile back with cold confidence.

Fur rapidly grew across his body as he transformed into a massive yet lean chimera between a werewolf and a reptilian giant.

[Call of the Beast] activated. Riven’s stats skyrocketed in an instant, and his senses grew even sharper, allowing him to fully regain what he had lost when he first entered this Domain and had his stats and senses weakened.

The truth was...

Riven had deliberately allowed Kagehisa to strike him and absorb his blood. He needed to take enough damage first. A sharp strike to the stomach was sufficient.

He made certain that no vital organs were hit, as the spear remained stuck between layers of dense muscle.

Kagehisa, of course, believed he had already won.

"COME HERE AND FACE DEATH, RIVEN CLAYMORE!"

With a wide smile and laughter filled with pure madness, the genius punched Riven’s face downward with a sudden underhanded attack before spinning in midair and descending for another strike.

Riven smiled. His enhanced senses had recovered enough for him...

To finally match the genius!

Even if only for a brief glimpse of time.

Both fighters stood equal, if not...

His muscles bulged massively as the power of the Supreme Giant Monarch manifested within him.

One percent of the combined strength of all his summoned giants flowed into his body.

A big, happy, almost ecstatic smile spread across his features.

"Riven...! You...! Hah...! You’re the man I’ve been looking for my entire life!"

He spun again in midair. A roaring dragon made of pure shadows surged from his aura and struck Riven from every direction at the same time as dozens of rapid thrusting attacks were unleashed without pause.

"Don’t let me down now...! My rival!"

"Hah, damn kid, you’re insane!"

Riven smiled back as he endured the shadow dragon, a summoned spirit of considerable power, and quickly swung his fist forward with the stacked strength of ten giants. The one-percent limit temporarily broke as he exuded the overwhelming presence of a divine lord for only a single small second.

RUMBLE!

BOOOMMM!!!

A massive explosion of pure mana erupted outward. The shadow dragon shattered into countless pieces. Yet Mura-Masa’s twin blades appeared from left and right, piercing Riven’s arms and drawing even more blood which they immediately drained.

"Hah!"

Riven laughed loudly. His muscles obeyed him completely and exuded so much raw strength that the invading blades...

"?!"

Crack, crack...!

CRASH!

Both swords shattered under the immense pressure of the muscles in his arms, leaving Kagehisa momentarily speechless.

"Hah! HAHAHAHAH!"

Kagehisa laughed even harder, punching Riven square in the face only to receive a powerful punch back in the nose that drew blood and knocked out several teeth.

"RIVEN CLAYMORE! YOU’RE AMAZING!!! ALLOW ME...! ALLOW ME TO GO ALL-OUT NOW!!!"

"...You haven’t yet?!"

Riven panicked for a brief moment as the genius of the Hattori Clan turned into pure darkness. His skin became red like fresh blood while flames surged from his jaws.

The power of the Demonic Shadow King further internalized itself within the eighteen-year-old man.

"Kishin Enbu – Demon-God Waltz!"

Kagehisa unleashed a rapid, continuous spinning technique as he descended, striking Riven’s chest repeatedly with his demonic spear. A massive quantity of air rapidly compressed around his weapon, creating a deadly barrier of slicing wind that deflected Riven’s counterattacks and rapidly dug through the dense mass of muscle.

Riven smirked as he felt the intense, grinding pain. "I guess I’ll have to go all-out too, kid!"

"Oh?!"

Kagehisa’s face twisted in pure fascination as he watched Riven’s blades fuse into a single long black scythe that appeared out of nowhere.

The power of death itself manifested into the physical realm.

Riven’s aura transformed into that of a black-winged angel of slaughter.

Feeling his impending doom approach, Kagehisa clenched his teeth and enhanced all his senses to their absolute limit. He bit down on a small pill hidden between his teeth, injecting himself with a powerful drug that enhanced his strength tenfold in an instant.

"Mikatagahara’s Vanguard!"

Kagehisa slammed the blunt end of his spear into the ground as both fighters landed, summoning dozens of spectral spears from the earth out of nowhere.

"?!"

Riven quickly avoided them however he could, but dozens of the spears still caught up to him. He tried to conjure ice for defense, yet the ice came out weak and quickly disappeared.

It was part of the strict "rules" of this Domain. His magic was completely devoid of power here.

As the spectral spears pierced his body, he also felt his own soul being pierced at the same time.

Blood sprayed everywhere. More and more of his blood spread through the air, creating a thick red mist!

"Hahahaha!"

Kagehisa bathed in the flying blood as he rushed toward Riven once more, attacking with several of his techniques consecutively without pause.

He created a swirling spiral of shadow petals, followed by a rapid air-pressure slam, and then summoned hundreds more spears from the ground.

As the new spears rose, massive ghosts emerged alongside them, representing all the soldiers Hattori Hanzo had once slain in life. They attacked Riven from every possible angle.

"..."

But Riven simply smiled. He swung his arm forward as it suddenly grew to a massive size, resembling the enormous arm of a true giant.

CRAAASH!

All the ghosts were crushed and exploded one after another. The earthen spears were flattened completely under the crushing pressure of his massive aura.

"?!" Kagehisa was visibly shocked. "That’s...! Spiritual Arts?!"

Riven smiled calmly. "I’ve finally figured it out, after watching you do it so many times."
