A pair of terrifying crimson eyes suddenly stared up at Riven from within his own shadow. This was no phantom from the king’s old army. As he looked closer at the dark shape beneath his feet, the surface of his shadow felt like the calm surface of deep water. His own mirrored reflection stared back at him, yet it was different—longer and darker hair, deathly pale skin, and those glowing red eyes. It was an Abyssal Doppelgänger, a true Mirrored Shadow Reflection.

Riven carefully tried to communicate with the being by reaching down and touching his shadow. A pale hand slowly emerged from the darkness and touched his own in return. The presence did not feel aggressive. Instead, it seemed calm and completely obedient.

If this Shadow Twin could continue to grow alongside him, having his own living shadow clone would be an incredible advantage in every future battle.

He did not have much more time to examine the new companion, however, because he immediately awakened his new Talent as well.

This power was equally amazing. Riven felt the new power surging through every part of his body like a rising tide. After taking a moment to steady himself, he looked back at Label with a confident smile.

"As you can see, I also have a growth-type class," he said. "Mine is called Predator. I can gain power by eating monsters."

"Wow!" Label replied, her eyes widening. "A-Amazing! So we’re the same, Riven!"

"Indeed," he nodded. "Now, there’s still a Yakuza Gang left for us to crush. Are you up for the task, Label? Before the sunset, let’s finish this quickly."

Label still hesitated for a brief moment. Yet after witnessing what Riven was truly capable of and sensing the immense power now radiating from him, she finally nodded and decided to place her trust in him.

"Okay...! I-I’ll trust you, Riven!"

Riven smiled quietly to himself. At long last, he was finally changing the fate of an unfortunate soul who had died far too soon in the future he originally came from.

Now he was finally going to help her blossom into the person she was always supposed to become.
