Chapter 4570: Day and Night

As the call arrived, someone else also knocked on Roan’s residence. Roan looked outside with his Godly Sense and saw Thery standing there. Obviously, Thery’s arrival wasn’t just a coincidence after Roan answered Doluno’s call.

Rean, Kentucky, and Celis were also listening to the conversation, though they could only hear it through their soul connection with Roan. They exchanged glances before looking at Lunelle.

Eternal Night Raven...

That was the first time they had ever heard that name.

’What about it?’ Roan asked Doluno while Rean allowed Thery to enter.

-When our Natak Region instructed Thery to investigate Woster, we already knew about the fox that Rean was carrying. After all, she was mentioned in the reports distributed to the other regions.-

-So far, there haven’t been any issues there. We didn’t know much about the fox ourselves until today. However, when Thery sent his report just a minute ago about his time in Woster, he included a description of the Raven you recently acquired. I looked at the images, and I can confirm with at least ninety percent certainty that what you have there is an Eternal Night Raven.-

’I understood that part,’ Roan replied. ’What I want to know is what you want from this Raven. If I’m not mistaken, it has to be a creature from your Great Void, doesn’t it? I say that because we found them in locations that had connections with your race.’

-That would be correct,- Doluno confirmed. -My Thousand-Script Race has a way of communicating with our Great Void, even though we can’t descend there after ascending to the Celestial Plane. So, after confirming the existence of the Eternal Night Raven, I also sent information about the fox. After all, according to Thery’s reports, both were born from similar Wombs, only with opposite properties.-

-The juniors down in the Goslau Great Void were quite shocked to hear about not only the Raven, but also the Fox. They knew more about them than I did, as I only knew about the Raven.-

-Anyway, together, they are known as the Eternal Night Raven and the Eternal Day Fox. Their names aren’t merely for show, either. They possess the power to permanently bring night or day to any location where they reside. According to the information I got from my Great Void, whichever universe they inhabit will never experience night while the Fox is there, nor will it experience day while the Raven is there.-

Roan narrowed his eyes. ’Are they perhaps Primordial Demon Beasts?’

-Not really,- Doluno quickly corrected him. -I don’t know how things are in your Great Void, but in ours, the Primordial Demon Beasts appeared first. They were the pillars that gave birth to the laws of the Great Void.-

Roan nodded. ’Yes, it was the same for us.’

-Good,- Doluno continued. -The Eternal Night Raven and Eternal Day Fox appeared much later, when my Thousand-Script Race was already fairly well established in the Goslau Great Void.-

’Are you sure?’ Roan asked.

-I am,- Doluno confirmed. -After all, they were born from experiments carried out by our race.-

Roan was taken aback.

So Luxa and Lunelle were not natural beings.

They had been created.

Truth be told, there was nothing particularly strange about that, though. How vast was a Great Void? How many universes existed within one? How many races were constantly conducting experiments across such an enormous expanse? New races being born from experiments were hardly unheard of, even in the twins’ Great Void.

However, according to Doluno, this particular experiment had resulted in the creation of two types of beasts capable of affecting an entire universe.

Now, that was exceedingly rare.

’Experiments, huh?’ Roan organized his thoughts. ’Very well. In that case, what are they doing in the Celestial Plane? These two were born only recently. They can’t possibly be the same Raven and Fox that exist in your Great Void, can they? And first of all, how many of them exist in your Great Void?’

-Those are all very reasonable questions,- Doluno explained. -Unfortunately, the long-distance communication arrays are about to be turned off. So, here’s the deal. I would like you to bring these two beasts to us in the Natak Region. With proper development, they could be of tremendous help to our Thousand-Script Race. Obviously, we are willing to pay you handsomely for them. How about it?-

Roan snorted. ’Hmph! I hate getting involved in meaningless trouble. But now that I’ve taken this girl under my wing, I’m not going to give her away to be used however you like. She’s not a tool.’

-Who said we were going to use them as tools? Quite the opposite. If anything, they are almost like gods to us. We intend to nurture them greatly. They will have the best treatment, the best prospects, the best tutelage, and the best everything we could possibly offer. Oh, shit. The arrays are being turned off. Talk to Thery. He will explain everything to you.-

And just like that, the call ended.

As mentioned before, unless someone was willing to pay the enormous price, those arrays were far too expensive to maintain for just any reason. They were activated only once every week, and for only fifteen minutes at a time, allowing all the regions within their respective ranges to exchange information.

Rean looked at Luxa, who obviously hadn’t heard any of the conversation.

As for Tobao, he was curious about why Thery had come here. Roan rarely showed any noticeable change in expression, so even Tobao could tell that something unusual had happened. "Is everything okay?"

Roan didn’t answer Tobao and looked at Thery instead. "Eternal Night Raven and Eternal Day Fox. Your region seems to be very interested in these two."

Thery nodded. There was no point in denying it. "Yes, we very much want to have them both. Have you received the offer to bring them to our Natak Region?"

"This..." Tobao’s eyes widened.

Wasn’t that essentially the same as trying to take the twins’ group away from Besgol? "This friend Thery is being a little too brazen, don’t you think?"

Thery turned toward Tobao. "It is not permanent. We are extending a genuine invitation, and I can guarantee that everyone can gain a great deal from it. Whatever questions you have, I’ll do my best to answer them."
