Chapter 4174: Make It Fast

Mamato and Gfukei’s group were truly in the middle of nowhere, far from the Divine Realm or anything else. So, how exactly did the twins’ group even know where they were waiting for them?

The explanation lies with Aby. Sure, the system allows the twins’ group to use the Abyssal Paths safely. However, that’s about it. Aby, however, knows the Abyssal Paths like no other. Although he lost his body, he did not lose his experience and knowledge.

To get him back, Roan used the Relay Node back in A1 and went to meet Aby in a location they had agreed on. Then, obviously, he simply brought Aby inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm and then came out of it by Rean’s side in the Werdlem Universe again.

From there, they thought of a plan to get a body for Aby. Due to the search of the empire and the knowledge of the Abyssal Beasts, Aby could tell more or less where he would try to set up an ambush like the one the twins’ group suffered before.

Of course, it wasn’t perfect. Aby had a general idea of where he would do it, but the area was still enormous. The truth was that the twins’ group spent several months in the void, looking for this ambush, and they weren’t sure if there was a group at all.

Fortunately for them, Aby was right about the general area for an ambush on any user of the Abyssal Path. They purposely selected an Abyssal Path that could bring someone to BH1 for that same purpose. They finally found where that Abyssal Beast and its group were waiting, and started to work on it.

The first thing was the formations. Sister Orb was put to work, hacking into all of them. The formations were high-level, but there wasn’t a single one at the Legendary Level. As long as they were Divine Level Formations or below and they weren’t too complex, Sister Orb could hack them with enough time.

Several days later, Sister Orb took control of the cores and the backups, so the twins’ group acted. First, they got the formations masters. Rean used a fake Werdlem ID, pretending to be a Werdlem Empire official. That wasn’t done through the Network, though. Instead, it was the formations that were manipulated to create a fake signal for the formations masters’ CDs. That’s why it looked like they received a direct order from th Werdlem Empire, which wasn’t the case at all.

Second, Sister Orb created a failure in the main energy modulation core of the formations, which would distract the experts inside. Following that, she caused the formations to break down or go chaotic, alerting everyone. Gfukei and the other Celestials immediately focused their attentions outside the formations’ area, expecting an attack to come from there.

Little did they know that it was also part of the plan. Rean had actually entered the formations way earlier and just made sure to stay out of the range of the Celestials’ Natural Spatial Perception. When Sister Orb started to mess with the formations and the Celestials’ attention shifted, Rean made his move.

He immediately got to Mamato and cut his head!

*Zush, zush, zush, zush...*

Roan, Cloe, Hick, Nyxara, everyone! They all appeared, and the fight started!

Well, there wasn’t a single Balance Breaker present. The advantage that Gfukei and the other Celestials were expecting to have was based on the various slaughtering and support formations there. Regardless of how fast Sister Orb’s hacking was, if the twins’ group appeared right inside it, there wouldn’t be enough time to hack anything. They didn’t expect the twins’ group to be looking for them instead, and from the outside.

Without any real powerhouse like Thomas or another Balance Breaker, fighting against the twins’ group was just suicide without the formations. The twins’ group overwhelmed the Celestials of the Werdlem Empire, and as soon as a few died, the rest turned around and began to run!

The twins’ group quickly pursued them, of course.

*Bzzzz...*

*BOOOOOMMMM!!!*

Then, out of nowhere, an enormous explosion happened! All the chaotic formations finally couldn’t be sustained, and they all burst with all their stored energy. Had the twins’ group or the Celestials of the Werdlem Empire stayed there, they might have even died.

In the chaos of the explosion, which pulverized everything in the area, a few of the Celestials remaining managed to escape. In the end, there were just too many Celestials, so killing all of them wouldn’t be easy... or so it looked like.

Nyxara quickly took them all close to her, and using her Void Power, they all disappeared. They obviously couldn’t stay there for long since reinforcements would arrive once those who fled contacted the Werdlem Empire.

Why did the formations explode? That was on purpose. Sister Orb wouldn’t have lost control over them if she wanted. The explosion happened simply to make it look like Mamato’s body was destroyed with everyone else who died. The idea was for no one to know that his body was actually taken away! For all intents and purposes, Mamato was dead and his body destroyed.

Once the twins’ group got to a safe location, they all entered the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm.

"So, will this one be enough?" Rean asked, pointing at the headless Abyssal Beast. Well, the head was actually there too. It’s just that it wasn’t attached to the beast’s body.

Aby, who had been waiting inside the Celestial Soul Realm all this time, didn’t look very happy. "It is dead! Do you want me to possess a dead body?"

"Calm down..." Rean smiled, took the head of the Abyssal Beast, and placed it on the body. He looked more like he was playing Lego...

’Life Style, Instant Recovery!’

Aby watched as all the nerves, muscles, and bones connected back perfectly. In the end, it was as if Mamato wasn’t even injured to start with. But... was he really alive?

"Ah!" Mamato suddenly opened his eyes, a chill running through his body. "W-Where am I?!"

Rean pointed at him. "See? He is fine."

Aby was speechless. He had seen the Instant Recovery skill before, but he didn’t know it could do such a ridiculous thing. Rean literally brought Mamato back from the dead.

Well, the truth was that Mamato wasn’t really dead. When Rean cut his head, he used his Light Element to secure the head and the body, preventing them from being affected any further or deteriorating. He also sealed Mamato’s soul inside the head so it wouldn’t become a dead soul either. In the end, Rean just had to heal Mamato back. Of course, if he had left Mamato like that for too long, even Rean’s Light Element wouldn’t have prevented Mamato’s complete death. Rean wasn’t omnipotent, especially since Mamato wasn’t even a Divinity yet.

Nonetheless, Aby couldn’t help but grow excited. "Hehe! Yes! He will do nicely!" Aby’s soul was definitely much stronger than Mamato’s, so he was very confident.

Yet, just as Aby was about to try to possess Mamato, Roan stopped him. "But first, let’s try to get some information from him. Shall we?"

Aby wouldn’t say he liked the idea, but he knew it would also be important. "Fine. Make it fast."
