Death... and me

Chapter 3812: How?

Chapter 3812: How?

To be more specific, what was being offered wasn’t Starlight Energy itself, but a Natural Treasure from heaven and earth that seemed capable of converting Starlight Energy. Its name made its function pretty obvious. It was called Star Devourer, and it literally converted real stars into starlight energy directly!

Let’s not forget that the twins’ group wasn’t the only one that used Starlight Energy for cultivation. In fact, Starlight Energy wasn’t only used for body-related techniques either. Although it was a lot rarer, there were races that cultivated normally with Starlight Energy instead of Divine Energy. It’s just that when fighting, Divine Origin Energy was still the main choice, even for races that cultivate with Starlight Energy, due to the abundance of the former.

From the description of the treasure, it could convert the energy of entire Class F Stars, which were the smallest stars, like a Red Dwarf, in a matter of one year, more or less.

Of course, even a Red Dwarf had so much energy that it would make the Starlight Fruits the twins’ group acquired back then look like nothing.

Was it possible for such a Heaven Defying Treasure to exist? The answer was NO, and the description also explained the treasure’s shortcomings. The main one, without a doubt, was the conversion rate. Of an entire Red Dwarf, only a millionth of its energy would truly become Starlight Energy. Also, the Starlight Energy acquired through this method had many impurities.

The impurities were obviously related to the Stars’ compositions and elements. A Red Dwarf was basically a ball of Fire Element, or a bunch of helium and/or hydrogen burning, to be more specific, with some heavier elements in the mix. The Starlight Energy generated by it was pretty much nothing compared to all the heat, laws, and such. Thus, considering that of all its energy, a millionth would become Starlight Energy, was quite fitting.

"A millionth of a Class F Star would still be the same as a few Starlight Fruits!" Celis spoke in excitement in the Dimensional Realm. "To have that many in just a year, just how great would it be?!"

Roan narrowed his eyes, looking at the impurities. "What about this part? Can something be done about it?"

Celis quickly checked, and he went silent. He is their group’s god of energy. If Celis couldn’t purify it, no one could. It wasn’t something that Rean’s Purification Skill could help with. "Hum... To be honest, all Starlight Energy in the environment is not 100% pure. It’s just that the impurities found in them are so minimal that our bodies deal with them on their own. Our cultivation technique, especially, makes it even easier."

"But from what it is saying here..." Celis considered his options for a moment. "Rean, Zangeshu, Tanxan, if you guys help me with a formation, I believe I can clean it."

"Can’t you guys use the impure Starlight Energy?" Foliana couldn’t help but ask.

"We can’t." Roan cut her off. "First of all, we don’t use Starlight Energy directly. Instead, we use it in a mix of Starlight Energy, Divine Origin Energy, and Soul Power. It has a delicate balance. If we throw the Impure Starlight Energy inside, the Sky Energy we get from it wouldn’t be compatible with our bodies. Simply put, it would be a wasted effort."

The Formations Master Trio naturally had no problem with Celis’s request. "We can help... but what exactly do you want us to do, Celis?"

Celis nodded, but didn’t explain. "For now, I need to feel that Starlight Energy in my roots. Without feeling it, I can’t say for sure, so I won’t waste your time with the explanation."

No one had any problems with it. However, acquiring the Star Devourer was another issue altogether.

There were three items at the top of the reward list. A weapon called the Celestial Lightning Spear, which occupied the first position and had the same price as the second and third.

The second one wasn’t a weapon but a permission. The permission to move permanently into the Werdlem Universe. As the only Rank S Universe in the Werdlem Empire, one could imagine how enticing this one option looked to the experts here. The Werdlem Universe even had its own Great Void Blackhole, after all.

As for the third option in the list, it was none other than the Star Devourer. All three items had the same price: a hundred million years of service!

"A hundred million years..." Rean couldn’t help but take a deep breath.

That was obviously not in the twins’ plans at all. But then again, the Star Devourer was definitely good enough to ask for such a thing. And, considering the limitless lifespan of Space-Time Realm Experts, it looks like a pretty good deal. Too bad Roan was the only one with over a million years of experience, but it was still not a hundred, that’s for sure. Even he wouldn’t take it.

Besides, even if they decided to continue to pretend to be Xanfel and spend a million years, could they really keep their identities hidden that long? It was way too risky.

"Can’t we make one of such treasures ourselves?" Kentucky asked Rean, Zangeshu, and Tanxan.

However, the three of them gave up immediately. "This is not a treasure created by anyone. Look at the rest of the description—it’s called a Natural Treasure for a reason. It appears on its own, and no one knows the exact conditions required for one to form. How can we create something when we have no idea how it came to exist? New Formations and Circuitry Devices are based on ideas and theories that have some foundation. This, however, seems to have no basis at all. From what we can tell, it shouldn’t even exist."

Tanxan added one last piece. "Of course, if we manage to acquire one, then MAYBE we can find out a way, but we would need to get one first."

Zangeshu and Rean agreed with him there.

Things seemed more complicated. "Alright, our problem persists. How exactly would we get this thing?"
