Death... and me

Chapter 3735: Help With a Plan

Chapter 3735: Help With a Plan

"This..." Frife-Ni didn’t know what to say. "Is it even possible?"

"It is," Ratria-Ket confirmed. "Well, we don’t really know how it is possible, but it is. Soul Gem brought us here, after all. No, to be more specific, he sent us here, but he himself couldn’t come."

Kentucky patted Frife-Ni’s back. "See? I told you things weren’t that simple. You should trust your Big Brother more. Like... trust me with your life!"

"I trust I can kill you, does it count?" Frife-Ni asked back. Kentucky’s bullshit made him recover a little of his composure.

"Hahaha!" Kentucky laughed, this time not feeling angry at all.

Frife-Ni once again returned his attention to his parents. "Alright... not from the Werdlem Empire... I understand. Continue your story."

Ratria and Ploto nodded. First, they told Frife-Ni the same thing Ploto told Kentucky back in Lisan. They found out Kentucky was a Regal Minokawa, so they had to hide him. In the end, they had to run so they wouldn’t lead their enemies to Kentucky in the Mortal Realm.

"Fun fact," Kentucky stopped them at that point. "Your enemies are not really your enemies anymore. Many things have happened in the Lisan Universe, and you could say that, apart from a certain group called Vruve, the Universe is now more or less fully united. By the way, the happy idiot and the sad idiot behind me are the Lisan Universe Owners."

Rean and Roan made a mental note to give Kentucky a beating later... So much for keeping their secrets...

"What?! Really?!" Ratria and Ploto were taken aback. They wanted to protect Kentucky from other powers in the Universe, so hearing that they were all together was truly hard to believe. Then, the Universe Owners thing...

"Yes, but I’ll tell you more about that later," Kentucky stopped there. "Continue your own story."

"O-Okay..." Ploto nodded, although he was truly curious about the fate of the Lisan Universe. "Ratria and I tried to run away, but we were eventually caught many years later."

"Not exactly caught," Ratria commented, "but were trapped. You know the Temporal Path and how that place has some gaps that one can enter, right?"

Kentucky, Rean, and Roan obviously knew that. Their father lived in one of those gaps with the help of his Universe Foundation Fragment. In another gap, the Vruve Organization can be found. Celis told them that by the time he arrived in the Werdlem Empire, no one had done anything to that place, as the Vruve had full control. Since there were these gaps in the Temporal Path, it wasn’t anything surprising that there were more that could be entered, even if they were extremely dangerous.

"I see!" It was then that Rean noticed something. "Kentucky, Roan, think about it. The Vruve Organization exists in one of those gaps, and Soul Gem was part of the Vruve Organization before. Doesn’t that mean it was Soul Gem who occupied that gap in the first place? It had to be him who made the gap stable enough to live inside, and he did that without a Universe Fragment."

He continued. "Our father managed to occupy a gap because he used the Universe Foundation Fragment, but the Vruve Organization didn’t have one. Now, Ratria-Ket and Ploto-Ume said they were trapped in another gap, and Soul Gem was the one to get them out. Isn’t that too much of a coincidence?"

Roan and Kentucky understood. "Simply put, Soul Gem knew how to occupy those extremely volatile and dangerous gaps and make them habitable. He had obtained one for his Vruve Organization before the organization was taken over, and then he managed to get Ratria and Ploto inside another one, trapping them there."

Ratria and Ploto didn’t know about the Vruve Organization. No, to be more specific, they knew about their existence since they were already Divinity Realm Minokawas back then. At that level, you were always made aware of the Vruve’s existence. In any case, they didn’t know Soul Gem’s involvement with that organization, but they knew it was Soul Gem who took them out of the gap. "We can’t say much about the Vruves, but Soul Gem got us out indeed. But it wasn’t he who trapped us there."

Ratria-Ket remembered the past as she spoke. "We entered the Temporal Path, intending to go to the Heavens. We can use Light Element to a high level, after all. We could get some protection there in exchange for our services. As much as Angels didn’t like other races, Divinity Realm Minokawas would still be of some use to them."

Ploto-Ume nodded. "But then we were ambushed inside the path, and we had nowhere to go. It was at that moment that we found that gap and fled inside. It was, just like you said, extremely volatile. It almost tore us apart, but we didn’t have a choice. We had to go further inside."

Ploto and Ratria looked at each other. "As you can imagine, no one would be idiot enough to follow us inside that path as it would be certain death. We had already accepted that we would lose our lives there... until things changed."

"The gap stabilized out of nowhere. But, at the same time, we couldn’t make our way out. The entrance of that gap had collapsed completely. For the time being, it played into our hands. At least we knew we wouldn’t be caught, nor would we be forced to tell where Kentucky was. But after a few years, we noticed the problem. We simply couldn’t go out either."

"We tried everything, opening a Spatial Gate, breaking the space and entering the spatial storms, opening an entrance from where we came, you name it. Nothing worked at all," they explained. "We probably spent thousands of years there. We couldn’t tell for sure, as that place wasn’t exactly a location where you could tell the time very well."

"But then, Soul Gem appeared," Roan cut in. "It aligns with our own experiences, as it should have been around the time Soul Gem separated from us."

Kentucky and Rean nodded. Sure enough, it all led back to Soul Gem, Hex, and Hyeoumu, the fellow brothers. No doubt those other two were also involved in all this.

Ratria and Ploto didn’t know what they meant by the Soul Gem separating from them, but they confirmed it was the Soul Gem that appeared there. "At that moment, he gave us two options. He could leave us there, or he could send us away. But, for the second option, we needed to help him with a certain plan."

"What plan?" Everyone asked at the same time.

"Open a channel for him."
