Chapter 3720: Contacting Rifindio
Chapter 3720: Contacting Rifindio
Reliance shook his head, not minding Kentucky’s question. "It’s fine. That just means they are still in Lisan. Oh, right! What happened to Lisan? I was brought many years before you, so I don’t know how things turned out there."
"Right! Let me tell you," Kentucky immediately began to explain everything, only leaving aside things that they better not talk about. It wouldn’t be before a few hours later that Kentucky would finish the tale.
"To think our Universe went through such a thing. A war against another Universe, the Vruves’ boss coming from outside and wanting the chaos source, the literal unification of both sides of the Universe, and ultimately the victory. I truly lost a lot of things..."
Rean patted his shoulder. "Let’s be honest, with the resources and talent you had back in the Sunkan Planet, you wouldn’t even have taken part in that war. You might not even have heard about that war at all due to the level of experts in the mortal realm. Don’t forget, we don’t have something like the Werdlem Network there. Every planet is pretty much isolated from the rest of the Universe."
"That’s also true..." Reliance agreed with Rean there. "Alright, no point dwelling on it forever. Let’s fly back to the city."
"We can simply open a Spatial Gate," Kentucky said.
"Let’s just fly," Rean agreed with him. "It won’t take long with our cultivation anyway. We can talk on the way back, too."
Kentucky agreed, and the trio took flight. On the way, Rean took the chance to ask. "By the way, Reliance, what was the information she passed to you?"
Reliance didn’t forget that. "I still have to confirm if it is real, but it was related to some weak gaps in the Humanoid Races’ Territory defenses. You might not know this, but the borders separating the five types of races of this Universe have changed a lot since the war started. The Devils, especially, have progressed the most, taking around 30% of the Angels’ Territories and 25% of the humanoid races’ territories. We weren’t attacked by them, obviously, since we are on the opposite side. Nonetheless, they opened quite a few portals to the underworld, and their strength only grows."
Rean understood. "So you have to use this chance to take some of the humanoid races’ territory as well. You can’t afford to fall behind."
"Yes," Reliance confirmed. "Our Demon Beasts Races haven’t done much in the various years since the start of the war. We have the Spirit Races to the Northeast and the Humanoids to the Southeast. Although we haven’t lost any meaningful lands, we haven’t acquired much either. The thing is that if you focus your forces on trying to take the regions on one side, like the Spirits in the Northeast, the defenses will get weaker in the Southeast instead."
Roan snorted after hearing that. ’What bullshit. Considering that the Humanoids have the Universe Owner, you should have joined forces with the Spirits to focus on the humanoid territories first. Something like, you won’t attack the Spirit Races’ Territories for a certain time. That way, the Spirits can focus on the Angels while you can focus on the Humanoids. Isn’t there a single demon beast with brains in the Demon Beast Races?’
Reliance knew Roan was right. "Yes, your thought is correct, and we understand that. But the thing is, the Universe Owner will not intervene. Why? I don’t know. We just know he can’t come out and fight. It makes sense since if he could, the Universe Owner would have easily killed all leaders from all sides on his own."
’So that’s how it is...’ Roan pondered a bit. He knows the Celestial Realm’s power. ’Is it a rule after the Werdlem Empire authorized the war?’
"Who knows?" Reliance shrugged. "I’m still a human, so I’m not that high in the Demon Beast Races’ hierarchy chain. It might be something to do with that expire date I mentioned, too."
"That reminds me!" Rean immediately pulled his CD out. Then, connecting to the Werdlem Network, he tried to call Rifindio back in Universe F974.
Once again, the Werdlem Empire Network covers all Universes in their bubble, so such a call could be made.
After just a few seconds, Rifindio answered on the other side. -Didn’t expect you to call me this fast. But, are you sure you want to call me? This call is coming from another Universe, so chances are you might be targeted where you are. The controlling power of the Universe where you are now, the Ermmel Clan, if I’m not wrong, will likely catch this call and go after you.-
Rean smiled in response. "I thought the same thing when I arrived, but after learning about the situation of this Universe, believe me, the last thing they can care about is visitors from other Universes."
-Really? Tell me more,- Rifindio asked, curious.
Rean gave him a rundown of the situation of F974. "And that’s basically about it. With your own authority, you should be able to get this information in the Werdlem Network, too."
-I see...- Rifindio had to admit Rean was right. If it were the case in his F956, he also wouldn’t waste resources going after Rean.
Reliance couldn’t help but ask, looking at the weird man with bat features in that call. Rean wasn’t hiding and let Kentucky and Reliance see it all. "Who is he?"
"Oh, right!" Rean made the introductions. "Rifindio, this is Reliance. Believe it or not, he came from the same Universe as us." Rean turned to Reliance and pointed at his CD. "And this here is Rifindio. He is the owner of Universe F956."
Reliance felt a chill running through his body. "A-a-a-a... Universe Owner?!" He heard Rean commenting about Rifindio earlier, but to see the man himself was another story.
Rifindio shrugged on the other side. -No need to act like that. Truth be told, had it not been for Rean, Roan, Kentucky, and Celis, I would never have become the Universe Owner. If you are their friend, then you are my friend too.-
"Y-Yes... sir. I mean, friend." Reliance felt it was quite surreal.
-So, Rean, what are you calling me for?-
Rean went straight to the topic. "Rifindio, what is this Universe Owner Expire Date?"
