Dead Girls Chat Group
15: New Mother
"Hmm, congratulations. You've successfully cast your first magic spell, Natsuo," Hilda's voice came from behind him. She sat down beside him and gently patted his head before pulling him down onto her lap. She softly caressed his hair and said, "Rest for now. You've drained your mana."
"Thanks." Natsuo glanced up, wanting to see her face, but his vision was obscured by the two large weapons of distraction filling his view. He closed his eyes and relaxed, enjoying the softness of her thighs and the gentle pats on his head. It felt far too good to get up.
One thing worth mentioning was that not everyone could use magic. It seemed that a person had to be born with a specific type of body capable of holding Mana. Those who weren't born with this ability couldn't contain Mana within their bodies, making them incapable of using magic.
People in Hilda's world were all born with Mana within them, meaning that everyone in the Six-Faced World could use magic as long as they trained for it. However, for some reason, Natsuo, who shouldn't have been able to use magic in the first place, was capable of using it and holding Mana within his body.
His Mana pool was small for now, though, and he could barely cast a few magic spells before becoming completely drained.
Kana and Chelsea also tried to train in magic, but they failed. They didn't have any Mana within their bodies at all, nor could they hold it inside themselves. It seemed that Natsuo was the only one among them who could do it, which greatly disappointed both Kana and Chelsea.
Kana was especially upset. She had been incredibly excited about learning magic, but when she discovered that she couldn't use it, she actually cried and complained about why Natsuo could do it while she couldn't.
Truthfully, even Natsuo was wondering why he was the only one who could use magic. He considered that it could perhaps be because he was the Admin of the Chat Group, and that being its owner came with certain perks. Another possibility was that it was because he was a reincarnated person.
The three women also considered the first possibility, wondering if Natsuo could use magic because he was the Admin and owner of the Chat Group. As for the possibility that he was reincarnated, that was something Natsuo kept secret. No one knew about it.
"Natsuo, your mom died when you were very young, right?" Hilda gently ran her fingers through his hair as she asked in a soft voice.
"Hmm, she died when I was a child," Natsuo replied with his eyes closed. He felt that if he kept staring at the two meaty spheres blocking his vision, something was going to rise, and it definitely wasn't the Shield Hero.
"It must've been tough for you, wasn't it?" Hilda gently held his face in her hands as she looked down at his peaceful expression. "Although I don't know the pain of losing my mother, I know the pain of losing my children. It's very, very hard."
She had lost two of her sons long after they were born, after her brother-in-law had forcefully taken them away from her. She hadn't even been allowed to see them afterward. Years had passed since then, and by now, they had both grown up.
Her youngest son was already 7.
Who knew if they would even remember her? Perhaps they wouldn't recognize her if they ever stood before her. And even if they did recognize her, would they forgive her for not keeping them by her side? For not protecting them? For not being there to show them what a mother's love was like?
"Right, you lost your two sons. That's why your username was 'sonless mother'," Natsuo opened his eyes and said with a smirk.
Smack!
As soon as he spoke, he received a smack on the forehead. The hand that had been caressing his hair just a second ago left a red mark on his forehead the next second.
"How insensitive! Say that accursed name again, and I'll show you the definition of regret!"
"Ouch! Sorry, I didn't mean to," Natsuo winced and quickly apologized.
"Did it hurt?" Hilda rubbed his forehead and asked.
"Not really." Natsuo opened his eyes and shook his head lightly with a smile. It hadn't really been that hard of a hit. Besides, he was the one who had said something so insensitive, so he had only reaped what he had sown.
He squinted his eyes as he stared at the sun hanging high in the sky. Today's weather was nice.
To train without anyone seeing them, they usually went to a forest on the outskirts of the city. It was worth mentioning that they had rented a house not far from the forest, only about twenty minutes away by car, which was incredibly convenient for his training.
Physical training with Chelsea took far too long to produce significant results, so while Natsuo took his training with her very seriously, he mostly focused on learning magic.
It was the fastest way for him to gain the ability to actually fight the Parasites in this world. If he wanted to fight them head on like Chelsea, he would need much more time to build up his physical strength and combat skills.
"Natsuo," Hilda suddenly spoke. She cupped his face in her hands and looked down at him, her expression gentle but serious. "Do you want to be my son?"
Natsuo's eyes widened, and before he could stop himself, he exclaimed, "Excuse me?!! What did you just say?!!"
"Silly boy, I said I want to become your foster mother." Hilda squeezed his cheeks and chuckled. "Or could it be that you don't want me to?"
As she said that, she put on a sad and downcast expression.
"..." Natsuo didn't know what to say. What she had just proposed was so sudden that it left him completely shocked. Still, he nodded his head, trying to meet her gaze even though her fun bags kept obscuring his view of her face.
"Yes!"
When they first came to this world, Natsuo had been somewhat curious about why Hilda was far gentler and kinder than the woman he had seen in the anime. She was exceptionally gentle and attentive toward him, always going out of her way to look after him and make sure he was doing well.
But now that he thought about it, it seemed that perhaps because she knew his mother was dead, and because she had lost her two sons, she had begun to view him as one of her lost sons. Perhaps she also wanted to fill the void left by his dead mother and give him the care and affection he had been deprived of.
"Really?! You really want me to become your mom?!" Overjoyed, Hilda leaned down and cupped his face more firmly. As she leaned closer, her large breasts pressed against his face, completely covering his face.
"I am so happy!! Natsuo, you're such a good boy!"
She became so excited that she leaned even closer, holding his face tightly as her breasts pressed against him. She exclaimed with pure joy; she had been incredibly worried that he would turn her down. At the time, she had thought she would die of embarrassment if he refused her. But he had actually accepted!
Hilda really hadn't been wrong about him. Just as she had longed for a son, he too had been longing for a mother.
"Emm! Emm! Emm!" Natsuo waved his hands, patting her thighs as he struggled and let out muffled screams. Her huge milkers might have been soft and smooth, but they were pressing against him so tightly that he could barely breathe. If she kept holding him like this, he was seriously going to die!
"Ah! Sorry!" Hilda noticed what happened and quickly pulled back. In a panic, she hurriedly inspected him, her expression filled with worry. "Are you okay? I didn't mean to! You are not angry at me, right? You are not going to change your mind?!"
"Please don't change your mind! I am not usually this clumsy! I promise I won't do it again!"
Natsuo inhaled deeply. Truly, she had some deadly weapons hanging from her chest. Seeing her panic like this, however, made him feel that she was actually quite cute. He moved away from her lap, turned around, and gently patted her head. "I am fine. It's alright."
"That's a relief. I was really worried just now that you'd hate me," Hilda patted her chest, making it bounce slightly as she let out a long sigh of relief.
"Should I call you by your name now, or call you Mom, or perhaps Mommy?" Natsuo asked with a smirk.
Why did it sound a little bit depraved when he said 'Mommy'?
"Ehh! Mom? Mommy? My fragile heart can't take this much stimulation!" Hilda felt her heart beating rapidly. She had never felt anything like this when Eris called her 'mother'.
Was it perhaps because Eris had always been by her side, so she had simply grown used to it? With a rather wide grin that was completely unlike her usual self, she said, "Son, call me mommy from now on, hehe."
"Your smile is weird. I'll just call you Mother from now on," Natsuo replied with a blank expression. He was beginning to feel that perhaps recognizing her as his foster mother had been a mistake.
"Eww! Why? Hurry, call me Mommy! It's no big deal, right? Son! Hurry up, son!" Hilda complained with a pout, but Natsuo had already stood up.
"Where are you going?"
"If it's no big deal, why are you insisting?" Natsuo laughed lightly. "I'm going to train. I recovered some mana."
"Where is 'Mom'? You should always end your sentence with it when talking to me! Son!"
"No, I won't! Mom!"
"You just did it! Son!"
"No, I didn't! Mom!"
...
Despite the existence of the parasites, life was rather peaceful for them. Natsuo spent most of his time training, while Hilda didn't do much other than watch TV. She had become hooked on J dramas and K dramas, and sometimes Chelsea would join her to watch them when she returned from her hunts.
Over the last two weeks, Chelsea had killed more than fifteen parasites on her own. She would sometimes take Natsuo with her so he could gain experience, but most of the time, she went on her own. Whenever Natsuo insisted on going with her, Hilda and Chelsea would stop him.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Unlike the others, Kana still maintained her normal school life. Even though she didn't want to, she still had to go to school and would come to hang out with them after school. She lay on the sofa on her stomach, holding her phone as she glanced over at Natsuo, watching him type on his laptop.
"Trading," Natsuo replied calmly.
This world was about three years behind his own, but aside from the existence of parasites, it shared many similarities with his world. Back in his world, Natsuo had dabbled in trading for quite a while, though he had lost a good amount of money, which still made his heart bleed whenever he thought about it.
Every time he remembered how much money he had lost, he wanted to slap himself.
In the end, he had stopped trading and decided to simply invest in Bitcoin and play it safe. Perhaps he could invest in Nvidia once he had enough capital and make a killing and wear a leather jacket too.
In this world, however, he could use all the failures and losses he had suffered in his own world to make money. He still vividly remembered many of his trades. After all, painful memories always seemed to stay stuck in your memory, just like the memory of your girlfriend cheating on you.
