Dark Magus Returns

Chapter 1095: The Stage Is Set For Him...

Chapter 1095: The Stage Is Set For Him…

Just like that, Alen was gone. He had exited out of the room and was rushing to the location on the screen. From what Raze could remember, the Orian Guild was relatively far away. Even with great Fire magic, it would take a long time to venture out there.

There also wasn’t any convenient mode of transportation where they were right now, and moving by vehicle into the main city would be horrible due to traffic. Magical devices, including flying ones, were created to circumvent traffic, but with the number of accidents that would still occur, they had no choice but to set rules and regulations for that as well, making it just as bad as traveling on the ground.

So the quickest way would be for Alen to use his own magic to get to where he needed to be.

‘I’ll never catch up to him in time,’ Raze thought. ‘He’ll reach there before me, and who knows how much destruction to the Dark Guild he will cause before I arrive. I still need to use the Dark Guild… I need everyone; I can’t let that happen.’

As Raze thought about what to do, an idea popped into his head. ‘Right, I don’t have to chase after him; there’s another way I can travel there. If I cancel the astral projection technique, it will take me back to Pagna. After that, if I use it again, I can link to one of the Dark connections, and I don’t think it will be hard to find which one is Harvey.’

A smirk appeared on Raze’s face as he called out. “Sophie, it’s time to go!” Raze shouted.

A few moments later, and the black cat was seen falling from practically the ceiling. It was a strange sight, as she landed on top of Raze’s shoulder. He looked up and now could see a direct hole above.

“What were you doing up there?” Raze asked, but of course, Sophie couldn’t reply, but she could write words through her Dark magic in the air. Dark magic started to swirl above, but Raze waved his hand through it, disregarding it.

“I can’t right now; I’m in a rush. The situation has gotten quite bad. Look at the screen, and you will understand. I’ll be disappearing for a while, so I thought I would just let you know. Look after Kelly,” Raze said.

Sophie immediately jumped down and turned to look at Raze. She could see his whole body started to fade away, turning into nothing but magical particles until it completely disappeared, and he was gone.

Sophie stared into the spot where Raze was for a while, and then she looked up at the hole in the ceiling. The current look on the cat’s face was of extreme worry, and it wasn’t because of what Raze was currently going through.

Back on the stage, Harvey was standing at the side with his arms folded, watching his puppet made from his Breakthrough Earth magic and that of the Dark magic fight away against Azbeth.

With the lightning sword, Azbeth was able to strike in multiple places at once, even where the sword didn’t hit, and he was quite nimble with his Wind magic, moving in all sorts of places. Parts of the Dark Puppet would break off and fall to the ground.

The puppet would shift and move, sometimes sinking into the ground, disappearing entirely.

At this time, Azbeth decided to go for something else, seeing this. He pointed his sword at Harvey and fired a lightning shot straight at him. Appearing from the ground, the Dark Puppet appeared, blocking the hit and stretching its arms out.

“What is this? Why are you trying to go for me instead? I’m giving you a chance; I’m allowing you to fight my friend one on one here without me getting involved,” Harvey exclaimed.

“Laugh while you can. One of the biggest benefits of being a magic swordsman is that it takes far less mana to conjure our spells,” Azbeth said. “It all relies on our stamina, and I have been through many situations because of it. Your breakthrough will eventually run out.”

Off the platform, the Dark Guild members that were surrounding the room in a circle had received news from the outside.

“It appears as if things are starting to move. Police are starting to head towards the guild,” one reported.

“It should be okay,” another replied. “The Magister was well aware of this possible situation. He stated the standard protocol for something like this is to not rush in. Because there are those that aren’t from the guild inside, they see them as hostages.”

“Because of all of the footage, they should be well aware that we haven’t targeted any of them. If they come in, they will be afraid we will start to use them as a scapegoat of sorts. We will still be okay for a while, until they are confident they can deal with us and save the hostages.”

The fight continued on stage, with the crowd below continuing to film. Hopes were rising as they could see the Dark Puppet was getting smaller in size, its movements getting slower, and even the man who had been smirking the entire time was holding at his chest, due to the pain linked with his Breakthrough.

“Haha, shouldn’t it be about time? Haven’t I waited long enough for you to come?” Harvey had fallen down onto one knee, due to the pain. Any moment now, and his Breakthrough would come to an end.

Yet he could feel something, a strange connection pulling at him, the Dark magic inside him tingling in the air, and in front of him, on the ground, a strange space of floating particles. Dark magic was twinkling above until it was forming a complete person right in front of his eyes.

Dressed in a completely darkened robe that covered one’s head, and magic obscuring all of the details from his face, a particular person had appeared.

Azbeth slashed the puppet right in half, destroying it, turning it into nothing, and right past it, he could see the man in front of him. Due to the Dark magic and robe obscuring his face, all he could see were two white eyes staring at him.

“Who are you?” Azbeth asked, holding his sword towards his face. He didn’t know why, but everything was telling him not to strike.

From down below, the general public, seeing this new figure appear seemingly out of nowhere, started to focus their cameras on him.

Turning around, looking at the situation, Raze was getting a good idea of the situation. Now was the time to play into the situation, to take advantage of everything going on, and to confuse the Grand Magus and strike fear into them.

“Me… I am… the Dark Magus.”
