Chapter 1094: I Caused This
Chapter 1094: I Caused This
The thoughts of Alen truly made Raze think of the possibilities of what was happening. For how long had mages been trying to head over to Pagna? Was it even on purpose, or just due to magic disrupting parts of the world that portals had been opening between the two?
The matters with the Dark Faction had certainly been going on for a long time, so maybe Otherworlders had also been an existence that had happened for a long time as well.
So maybe, just maybe, the emperor of the past didn’t perish, and he had moved over. How long had it been? If he had managed to find out how to increase his affinity with time magic, then certainly they would have the same power as Heino.
And if one could control time magic, then maybe they were also able to control the time within oneself and live the life of an immortal.
‘But if Heino is the great emperor of the past, wouldn’t he want to use the Golden Globe on himself? From what we do know, Alter is working with the Grand Magus in some way. Is it just neutral benefit, or is there a real reason for the two of them to work together?’ Raze thought.
At the end of it, Raze realized that the truth of the thing didn’t matter to him too much. The emperor wasn’t his target; Heino wasn’t his target. It was just someone who was in his way of getting to the goal he needed to.
The real issue at hand was how to deal with time magic.
“If Dark magic is the answer, then is there a reason why you might think that, things that you would know about Dark Magic?” Raze asked.
“You really want to go ahead with this theory of yours?” Alen asked. “You know, if regular people were heard speaking of Dark Magic in such a way, they would be taken in by the police. It’s only because of who I am and where we are that we are even discussing matters so openly.
“And besides, it’s not as if you going ahead and learning Dark Magic is an option for you, if that is what you were planning to do.”
Raze knew Alen was right, and he had already helped him greatly. There was no reason for him to delve further into this, and if anything, if Raze knew what occurred in the past, if people got too involved, then there was a good chance that this might be the last time that he saw Alen again.
“Dark magic has the properties to destroy every magic there is, including Light Magic. Its main property is that it is like a black hole absorbing everything into it. This, in my mind, would include time magic.
“The issue at hand is, if time froze all around you, and you were unable to cast your dark magic, how would it destroy the property in the first place? So, it just goes to which magic is cast fast in that situation, right? Although one would have to have a significant amount of Dark Magic to be able to do such a thing.
“I doubt even if a person learned dark magic, it would be possible; they would also have to have a dark core of sorts. All of this is pointless talk anyway.”
In the middle of talking, that was when Alen had suddenly stopped, as he stared ahead at the screen in the room. The news channel that was left on by Aurora. It was on mute so as not to disturb their conversation, so the two hadn’t been paying attention to it.
However, Alen’s eyes widened, and he took his hands out of his pocket as he looked at the situation.
‘What has caught his attention that’s on the screen?’ Raze thought.
Turning his head, it was then Raze’s heart that almost skipped a beat as he was witnessing what was happening.
Footage of a situation at a particular guild was being broadcast from inside. Scrolling across the bottom were reports stating that mages were attacking the Guild, and the attackers were claiming to be part of the Dark Guild.
It showed the members coming in and using dark magic, defeating and killing the Orian Guild members, and now it was showing the fight that was taking place between the guild master Azbeth and a man in a Dark Robe using his dark powers.
The images and videos were clear, as the footage was taken from the hostages that were currently there at the scene.
“What is going on? Dark mages, Dark Magic, and a Dark guild! What is happening? Why hasn’t anyone gone to help yet?” Alen asked.
Immediately, Alen went to grab his long red blazer from the back of the couch and placed it on his shoulders.
“I’m sorry, Jake,” Alen said. “It looks like our meeting will have to be cut short for today. Something big seems to be happening, and the Orian Guild are unable to deal with it. Knowing what is happening, I can’t just stand around and let the situation unfold the way it is.
“I don’t know if we will meet again, but if we do, maybe we can have a more normal conversation next time.”
With that, Alen was already rushing towards his front door, barging it open and heading directly to the scene.
Raze looked at the screen once again, and seeing the entire situation. ‘That’s Harvey, I can tell straight away. My guess is he’s doing this because of my order. To obtain items and let the world know of the Dark Guild.’
‘This might be too small of a matter for the Grand Magus to deal with, but with the righteous Alen finding out about this, he can’t but help himself and head to the scene. I don’t think Harvey can deal with it if Alen’s there.’
‘I guess I have no choice. It’s because of me this situation is what it is. I will have to join the situation,’ Raze thought.
