Dao Companion Crippled, Coveters Move

Chapter 606 521: Brother Pei, Just Give In to Your Junior Sister Once

The Luminous Shadow Sword shot from her grasp, patrolling both banks of the great river like a loyal scout, searching for any sign of someone having come ashore.

But alas, trying to find a clue about her master in this vast river was like searching for a needle in a haystack.

Qing Yueqiu searched for a long time but couldn't find a single clue.

But this didn't discourage her. Before even entering the mountain, she had resolved not to leave until she found her master.

The silver-haired girl continued her diligent search.

Suddenly, the Luminous Shadow Sword swam before her like a silver fish and said softly:

"Yueqiu, I used the Moonlight to find traces of the Demon Race. There aren't many, but their individual strengths are at the Divinity Transformation or even Void Refining realm... One of them is someone we encountered in our last fight."

Qing Yueqiu frowned slightly upon hearing this.

She was already deep within Ghost-Back Mountain, far from the protected lands of the Human Race. It wasn't unusual for members of the Demon Race to appear here.

However, the fact that one of them was an enemy who had escaped a previous battle... that was very interesting.

'Perhaps I can find a clue about my master from the Demon Race.'

With a glint in her eye, Qing Yueqiu followed the Luminous Shadow Sword and darted into the woods to the side.

...

...

Meanwhile, Pei Yuhang had finished repairing the main door. He added several layers to the original wooden door covering the cave entrance and stuffed the cracks with thatch, making the inside of the cave much warmer.

"That should do it."

He patted the door in satisfaction and turned to share the good news with Nangong Jin, only to freeze solid at the sight before him.

Amidst the swirling steam, Nangong Jin had just finished bathing.

Her dripping wet hair hung down like black silk, the ends still shedding crystalline droplets that trickled down her slender neck and disappeared into her collar.

Her thin, white inner robe was rendered semi-transparent by the steam, faintly revealing the pale pink skin beneath. She stood barefoot on the carpet of thatch, her perfectly-rounded toes curling slightly.

"Brother Pei."

She called out softly, the corners of her eyes still tinged red from the bath.

Seeing Pei Yuhang standing there dumbfounded, she bit her lower lip, a shy smile gracing her face as her long eyelashes trembled slightly.

"Aren't you... coming over? It's getting late. We should... go to bed and rest."

"Oh, right. It is getting late. We still have to search for a way out of the mountains tomorrow."

Pei Yuhang's Adam's apple bobbed as he nervously approached Nangong Jin's side.

He didn't understand why the sight of Nangong Jin after her bath made him so nervous, as if he were simultaneously anticipating and dreading that something might happen.

Pei Yuhang lay on the bed and stole a glance at Nangong Jin. In the flickering firelight, the loose strands of hair framing her face cast delicate shadows, making her glistening eyes seem all the more alluring.

At her slightly open collar, a single, undried droplet of water was slowly tracing a path down her delicate collarbone.

"Am I beautiful, Brother Pei...?"

A trace of joy blossomed in Nangong Jin's heart when she noticed Pei Yuhang looking at her.

"You are. Jin'Er is my Dao Companion, so of course, you're the most beautiful Fairy in the world."

Not that Pei Yuhang could remember what any other woman looked like after losing his memory.

'Still,' he thought, 'there probably isn't another woman in the world who could compare to a Fairy Junior Sister like her, right?'

Upon receiving Pei Yuhang's affirmation, Nangong Jin covered her mouth with her hand and chuckled softly, a coquettish charm dancing in her beautiful eyes.

She sat sideways on the edge of the bed, hugging her long legs to her chest. Her pale fingertips twisted together nervously.

"Well... Brother Pei, what are you waiting for?"

"I'm a woman... You have to take the lead."

Nangong Jin's long legs rubbed gently against each other, her toes wiggling with a mixture of anticipation and nervousness.

"Take the lead on what...?"

Pei Yuhang was bewildered.

Seeing his reaction, Nangong Jin finally remembered that Brother Pei had amnesia and seemed to have forgotten even the matters between men and women...

In other words, she would have to teach Brother Pei how to... consummate their relationship.

'But I don't know how to do anything either!'

For the past several decades, Nangong Jin had practiced the Forgetfulness Dao, focusing solely on her cultivation and traveling the world.

She was completely clueless about the affairs of men and women and had never paid them any mind.

Now that she wanted to re-enter the mortal world, the Brother Pei she had pursued for so long was lying right there on the bed, yet she was utterly baffled and at a complete loss, with no idea how to "devour" this prize...

Regret! Regret! Regret!

'I should have read more trashy novels and lewd picture books!'

"Jin'Er, what's wrong?"

Pei Yuhang asked with concern, seeing Nangong Jin's elegant brows furrow.

"Ah, it's nothing..."

Nangong Jin's eyes flickered, but she resolved not to let this opportunity slip away.

'Fine! Even if I don't know what I'm doing, we can just figure it out together slowly, Brother Pei and I!'

'Anyway, the first step is taking off our clothes. I'll just get that done first and figure out the rest later!'

At this thought, Nangong Jin's slender fingers trembled slightly as she slowly reached for Pei Yuhang's collar.

The corners of her eyes were unnaturally flushed, a dark fire seemed to burn in their depths, and even her breath came out hot.

"Jin'Er, what are you doing?"

Nangong Jin's sudden movement made Pei Yuhang's pupils contract. A hint of panic flashed across his handsome face, and his long fingers instinctively tightened around his collar, preventing her from pulling it open.

Although he had shared a bed with Nangong Jin since waking up, they had never undressed or seen each other fully exposed.

Pei Yuhang had always felt that it just wasn't right to do... that... with Nangong Jin.

"Brother Pei... don't be nervous."

Nangong Jin swallowed, her voice so hoarse it barely sounded like her own.

Her fingertips turned white from the force she was using to pry Pei Yuhang's wrist away from his chest. "We're just... doing what Dao Companions are supposed to do.

I'm your Dao Companion, so there's nothing wrong with this. Trust Jin'Er... Don't resist. This is supposed to be a happy thing!"

Pei Yuhang flinched at the scorching heat of her palm.

He looked up and saw that Nangong Jin's usually cool and clear almond-shaped eyes were now glistening with moisture, but a fanatical fervor he found deeply unfamiliar churned in their depths.

Pei Yuhang gritted his teeth, pushed Nangong Jin's hand away, and said softly:

"Jin'Er, you're not acting right..."

Seeing Pei Yuhang's instinctive resistance, Nangong Jin couldn't help but feel a surge of irritation.

And under the influence of the Curse Seal, which amplified all her emotions and desires, this irritation instantly swelled several times over like a wildfire!

"What's not right about me? You're the one who's not acting right, Brother Pei! We're Dao Companions, so why do you always resist me!"

'During the day, you wanted to leave the mountain, you wanted to leave me!'

'Now you won't even let me touch you!'

'Brother Pei, why can't you just give in to your junior sister?!'

Nangong bit her rosy lower lip, the suppressed grievances from the daytime mixing with a feverish heat that rushed to her head.

Her fingertips dug deep into her palms, and fine beads of sweat broke out on her temples.

"Brother Pei... can't you... just give in to me this once?"

"Just this once, for your junior sister..."

Pei Yuhang was stunned by the intense emotion in her words. He never knew Nangong Jin had suppressed her feelings for him to such an extent.

'This unnatural obsession... Is this really something Dao Companions who have been together for decades would have?'

Before he could snap out of it, the sound of tearing fabric came from his collar.

Pei Yuhang closed his eyes and let out a long breath, as if resigning himself so as not to hurt Junior Sister Nangong any further.

But just then—

"TING—"

A crisp chime abruptly shattered the silence, like a sharp knife instantly slicing through the charged, heated atmosphere in the room.

Nangong Jin's movements froze. The flush on her face receded like a tide, replaced by a grave expression.

"TING— TING-A-LING—"

Immediately after, a second chime, then a third... The bells hanging from the ceiling of the cave trembled one after another, their crisp sounds echoing through the enclosed space like a death knell.

Nangong Jin jerked her head up, her eyes reflecting the densely packed bells shaking overhead. They vibrated wildly, clanging against each other and creating a piercing hum.

Her lips trembled as she counted quickly—

"One, two... thirty..."

"No... this number..."

Nangong Jin's voice was almost inaudible, but her clenched knuckles had turned white, her nails digging deep into her palms.

"Brother Pei."

She slowly turned her head to look at Pei Yuhang, her voice hoarse.

"The forty warning traps I set up within five hundred meters of the cave have all been triggered... This is definitely not some beast that wandered in by mistake..."

"Something... has us surrounded."
