Chapter 775: Chapter 483: Mecha Prototype (Part 2)

And with the further passage of time, Qi will continue to perish, transforming into "Yi."

By the time it reaches Yi, it has already completely returned to nothingness, because Yi represents nothingness.

The trace perceived by Wang Ye now is similar to the existence between Ni and Qi. Very faint, but if one carefully senses, they can still detect them drifting in the nearby cosmos.

Since his research on consciousness bodies is not deep, he cannot determine how many years ago these consciousness traces originated,

he can only ascertain that these life forms might have gone extinct a million years ago or even earlier.

But regardless, the reality before Wang Ye now is that life indeed appeared on Venus, only to be extinguished due to some unexpected event, perhaps an asteroid impact, or possibly a climate issue. However, everything points to one answer: other planets can indeed give birth to life as Earth does. Yet, life on most planets likely perished midway like Venus.

Only a very few planets might have life surviving until now, and only the rarest among them could possibly give birth to intelligent life like on Earth. After all, the birth of life itself should be accompanied by countless unexpected events over billions of years, any of which could occur. Earth has also seen many potential extinction-level events, such as ice ages, asteroid impacts, etc. But for some reason, life on Earth has persisted to this day, even evolving into high-class species such as humans.

Wang Ye furrowed his brows slightly, then continued drilling towards the core of Venus. He swiftly changed direction, drilling downward, as the surrounding soil and rock instantly liquefied, leaving a hole wide enough for one person to pass through.

He intends to excavate the interior of Venus to search for Crystal Clusters and further traces of life. If the life forms born on Venus had corporeal bodies like those on Earth, then remnants resembling fossils ought to be buried within the Venusian crust.

Based on the principle he used to revive the Ice Ridge Dragon on Earth, if he can find remnants of life here and decipher their construction for study, he might be able to resurrect the life forms on Venus.

This would be beneficial both for humanity and Wang Ye. A new lifeform might provide Wang Ye with more evolutionary inspiration.

His current life form, although transcending Earth’s life, is still fundamentally derived from Earthly life. The structure of Earth’s life has become a fixed mode of thinking for him. If he can reference the structure of other life forms, his capabilities might improve further.

Meanwhile,

Earth.

After several days of research.

The prototype of the Super Nuclear Submarine has been co-manufactured by senior technicians from various countries.

This nuclear submarine is equipped with the most advanced technology, even capable of achieving supersonic movement over short periods.

Yes, that’s supersonic movement.

The technology for these supersonic submarines has only emerged recently and is not mature, having previously remained under research.

But now, through the efforts of technicians from various countries, it has been successfully integrated into this latest Super Nuclear Submarine.

The principle of supersonic submarines is not complicated.

The core mystery lies in Supercavitation technology.

Simply put, it generates a massive bubble around the submarine, separating it from the seawater.

As is well known, water density is higher than air, resulting in high resistance when navigating through it, which severely slows down the submarine. When enveloped by a massive bubble, the direct contact with seawater becomes interaction with air, drastically reducing resistance and creating conditions for supersonic movement.

This is akin to simulating a fighter jet’s movement within the water.

Take the Soviet "Squall" torpedo, for example. It is an early application model of Supercavitation technology. The Squall torpedo sprays a large amount of gas from its nose to form a supercavitation around it, significantly reducing water resistance. This enables the torpedo to reach extreme speeds of up to 370 km/h underwater, far beyond traditional torpedoes.

However, torpedoes are much smaller than submarines, making it less challenging to create supercavitation for torpedoes than for submarines,

but to create stable and continuous supercavitation around a submarine to maintain long-duration supersonic movement is a tremendous challenge for the current level of scientific knowledge.

Nevertheless, over the past two years, nations have already mastered their respective technologies to realize the envisioned supersonic submarine.

For example, in China, Harbin Engineering University’s research team has recently implemented fiber-optic laser-induced plasma explosion wave propulsion technology underwater. This technology uses an ultrafine fiber optic network arranged on the submarine’s surface to emit high-energy laser pulses. The high temperatures of these laser pulses instantly vaporize seawater and create directed explosion waves, establishing widespread supercavitation.

But the maintenance of supercavitation itself is a challenging task,

as bubbles might break at any moment due to pressure changes during high-speed navigation,

besides they have to navigate near a depth of ten thousand meters, making realization as difficult as climbing to the sky.

Yet, with the injection of enormous funds, this technology is steadily advancing and can now achieve short-duration supersonic movement in deep-sea regions,

at the same time, they have commenced the study of small Deep-Sea Power Armor.

That’s akin to Mecha in science fiction novels and films, such as those in Pacific Rim and Gundam.

Nonetheless, the actual technological level is not on par with what’s depicted in films, making the creation of such large and power-packed Mecha impossible,

additionally, such large Mecha wouldn’t significantly benefit combat, instead making movements cumbersome, reducing mobility, creating more blind spots in vision, and even becoming sitting targets.

Hence, what they are manufacturing are smaller power armors with heights approximately ranging from five to ten meters,

The greatest difference between these small power armors and nuclear submarines is that the former employs biomimetic joint drive, enabling multidirectional movement with much greater agility than the unidirectional nuclear submarines,

while the Super Nuclear Submarines equipped with Supercavitation technology can break the sound barrier in speed, due to fluid mechanics, their steering isn’t agile, making them more suited for missile launching from stealth.

In contrast, these small power armors resemble drones in the air and can engage in self-destructive close combat against equally agile Megalodons, equipped with mechanical claws, serrated blades, and rapid-fire machine cannons.

Ideally, these small power armors could be designed to be smaller, thereby saving costs and enhancing mobility, but since their main battlefield is the deep-sea area of ten thousand meters, if the materials aren’t robust enough, they might be crushed by water pressure instantly, like an easily crumpled can. Thus, they have been forced to design these power armors to be five to ten meters in size.

If Wang Ye were on Earth at the moment and saw these designs, he would likely reveal a look of astonishment,

humanity has truly begun creating Mecha?

Given more time, they might genuinely produce super-large Mecha portrayed in science fiction films.

In fact, with humanity’s current industrial technology level, such Mecha could already be manufactured, but energy remains a problem. If they were provided enough Crystal Clusters, or solved controlled Nuclear Fusion, the legendary large-scale Mecha might be produced.

Yet even if they were manufactured, they wouldn’t cause much stir. For any material on Earth now, in front of Wang Ye, are like paper, easily pierced by a finger.
