Chapter 767: Chapter 479: The Only One in Heaven Is Me (Part 2)

Fortunately, it’s the low-gravity environment of the Moon; if they were on Earth and got blasted away like this, their bodies would likely suffer multiple fractures.

Just as they were nervously standing up, trying to scan their surroundings,

they were shocked to find a figure floating in the air in front of them.

Looking through the transparent visor, it turned out to be Wang Ye!

The two were utterly terrified, as if they’d seen the devil, and quickly backed up a few steps but ended up falling to the ground.

At this moment, Wu Chen and his two companions also noticed the sudden appearance of the two unfamiliar astronauts beside the landing module.

However, Wu Chen and his companions did not show any hint of ridicule, rather they cautiously watched the two not far ahead.

Carefully, they noticed the emblem on the chest and shoulder patches of the strangers,

which was the abbreviation and symbol for NASA. They had never heard that NASA recently conducted lunar activities.

And judging by their behavior, it seemed these newcomers were up to no good.

If Wang Ye weren’t by their side, they might have easily been sabotaged.

"Master, who are these two?" Wu Chen asked.

"Look closely at what they’re holding," Wang Ye calmly replied.

"That’s a... an explosive device?!"

"Are they trying to destroy our lunar module?"

"Could they be trying to prevent us from returning to Earth? Why would they do this?"

The trio was utterly horrified.

But Wang Ye remained calm and said, "What other reason could there be? It’s because of me."

In the cosmos, it was their only chance to kill Wang Ye; otherwise, killing a few ordinary astronauts wouldn’t require such an elaborate scheme.

After he finished speaking, Wang Ye approached the two seated on the ground and softly said, "I’ll give you one chance. If you leave now, I’ll spare your lives."

"You..." The scarred man and the one beside him, Jackson, gritted their teeth, their expressions full of reluctance.

Although they didn’t know how Wang Ye transmitted his voice into their minds, they understood the mission had failed.

"In that case, we’ll have to execute plan B," the scarred man muttered through gritted teeth, then spoke over the radio, "Schneider, release the remote strike!"

The remote strike he mentioned referred to the Electromagnetic Cannon Barrel held by Schneider before leaving the landing module, which could unleash a piercing force capable of puncturing a ship instantaneously. Although it wouldn’t cause lethal harm to Wang Ye, upon impact, it could directly destroy a large area of artificial structures, including the lunar module. The remote strike could also potentially harm them, but their mission was to ensure Wang Ye could not return to Earth, so even dying together was deemed worthwhile.

Five seconds passed after he commanded, yet there was still no response. A sudden sense of foreboding gripped his heart, and he continued shouting in the helmet:

"Schneider, Schneider? Respond if you can hear me!"

"Are you looking for this guy? Sorry, I accidentally killed him." Once he finished speaking, Wang Ye slightly moved his finger, causing a shattered and unrecognizable corpse to float over from the air.

Seeing the familiar uniform in midair, their pupils contracted abruptly.

"That’s... Schneider?!"

"He’s dead? When did he die?!!"

Wang Ye didn’t answer their question but instead tossed the corpse to the ground. A drop of blood splattered onto their visor. The spacesuit worn by the corpse was torn open with a hole, and the body inside had already burst due to pressure changes, covering over with frost from the extremely low temperature, making it impossible to discern its original appearance.

"My God, what have you done?!" The man with burn scars on his face exclaimed in horror at the grisly death of his companion.

His voice was muffled inside the helmet, inaudible to others except his comrade.

But the faint vibrations of the helmet were precisely captured by Wang Ye’s eyes, who decoded the sentence from the vibration frequency.

Wiping off the drop of blood splattered on the visor, Wang Ye couldn’t help but smirk, as if reminded of something.

Then, using Sound Transmission, he addressed everyone present:

"God? No, there is no God. The only person in the sky is me."

Upon hearing this, everyone there turned in astonishment to look at Wang Ye.

Though Wang Ye’s smile was just a normal one, even somewhat gentle and friendly in certain contexts,

at this moment, in their eyes, Wang Ye’s smile was like that of a cruel and bloodthirsty demon.

They naturally knew it was a line from a certain American TV show.

This phrase had already been overused online.

But now, spoken by Wang Ye, it carried an extraordinary level of intimidation.

"You’re insane... you must be mad!"

The man with scars on his face showed a look of resolve in his eyes, standing up as if intending to detonate the high-energy explosive device in his hand and perish together with Wang Ye.

Yet the next moment,

An overwhelming invisible force enveloped the high-energy explosive device in his hand, lifting it high into the air and crushing it instantly.

Boom!!!

The explosion happened high above the Moon, the blast shock wave causing the lunar ground to tremble.

The scarred man, unable to maintain his footing, collapsed to the ground again, his eyes fixed on the explosion high above, full of despair.

He realized he had been utterly defeated by Wang Ye.

"Is this what ordinary people feel like facing Superman..." he muttered softly.

Floating before him, Wang Ye conveyed once more through Sound Transmission, "Actually, even if you destroyed the lunar module, you couldn’t stop me from returning to Earth, nor kill me."

Hearing this, the scarred man looked up, only to witness a terrifying scene. Wang Ye nonchalantly removed his helmet and took off his spacesuit, discarding it on the ground.

After removing the entire spacesuit, he was left wearing just a sports shirt. Even though his skin was directly exposed to the extreme and harsh conditions of space, he appeared unscathed.

"You... you can withstand the outer space environment?!" The scarred man and Jackson beside him were utterly shocked.

This meant that all their efforts were in vain,

Even if they succeeded, they could at most only harm Wu Chen’s group, incapable of doing anything to Wang Ye.

They continued to look at the Chinese Lunar Landing Module beside them, which had only three seats and extremely limited space.

So Wang Ye hadn’t ridden a rocket but flew to the Moon alone...

They had been deceived; it was all a trap set by Wang Ye to lure them in.

"You truly are an irresistible Superman... In the not-too-distant future, humanity might really come to be ruled." The scarred man’s spirit fell into deep despair, appearing to foresee his own death.

Surprisingly, Wang Ye waved his hand and said, "Go, return to Earth."

"Are you pitying us?" the scarred man frowned.

"Pity?" Wang Ye sneered, "No, I just want you to take this news back, let your masters know no method will work, humans cannot kill me, stop trying underhanded tricks against me."

Hearing this, the scarred man hesitated for a moment, then left with Jackson by his side.

Watching their retreating backs, Wu Chen and his two companions couldn’t help but swallow a gulp.

In reality, these NASA astronauts carried many high-tech weapons and protective gear,

If it were Wu Chen and his group facing them, they might indeed suffer defeat, but unfortunately, they were facing Wang Ye, and those weapons they carried were rendered useless before defeat.

Especially the one engaging in remote sniping, who hadn’t even realized it before being killed by Wang Ye.
