Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1298: Planet Destroyer: Fire! (2)

"Fire!"

The moment Jacob gave the command, for one heartbeat, nothing happened, but then everything collapsed!

’BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!’

Tens of thousands of weapons fired simultaneously, and the darkness above the treasury erupted.

It wasn’t a single explosion, but millions, as black metallic weapons released torrents of destruction, each carrying a different form of ammunition.

Lightning descended like countless divine spears; fire erupted into enormous, expanding spheres; water ammunition detonated into pressure waves powerful enough to pulverize space; earth ammunition transformed into enormous gravitational projectiles; and wind ammunition erased everything in its path.

Moreover, light lasers pierced through layers of darkness, and death Essence bullets silently passed through space, leaving withered fragments of Law behind them.

On the other hand, the Soul Totem ammunition didn’t even explode, but it simply disappeared, and then countless elemental laws filled with compressed soul force began screaming.

But the most terrifying were the stellar weapons, which released enormous streams of silver-white energy that tore through the darkness like falling stars.

Stellar Aura Energy collided with the surrounding Laws, while Stellar Spirit Energy penetrated deeper, for it ignored ordinary physical defenses and struck toward the spiritual foundation hidden beneath existence itself.

Alexandra didn’t dare to try taking that ghastly torrent of destructive attack head-on, and immediately moved as she knew she couldn’t stay.

The moment the bombardment began, the Cloak of Occult trembled violently around her body as if even it was having difficulty stabilizing under such chaos.

’It’s too much!’

She had expected weapons, but she hadn’t expected an entire battlefield to become a weapon, not to mention that she couldn’t understand how Jacob managed to achieve this effect with a technology-based weapon.

The next moment, her body turned into ethereal darkness and disappeared, and a black spear of lightning passed through where she had been standing.

’BOOM!’

The explosion didn’t merely destroy the surrounding stone; it also erased the Law structure in that region.

Although she managed to avoid it, Alexandra’s expression became ugly as the laws were greatly destabilized, and she shifted again.

This time, a Death Law bullet passed beside her, and she avoided it. But the next moment, a Stellar Spirit projectile descended, and her expression changed.

She immediately twisted through the darkness, and the projectile missed her by an inch. Yet the space behind her was completely erased.

Alexandra’s pupils contracted. ’If that had touched me...even with the Chaotic Darkness...’

She didn’t dare finish the thought, nor did she have time, because then came the magic-nuclear ammunition.

A tiny black projectile descended; at first, it didn’t look impressive, as there was no gigantic aura, overwhelming pressure, or terrifying authority; it simply existed.

But then it detonated...

’BOOM!’

The explosion was strangely silent as reality itself distorted, and space bent inward while the surrounding laws flickered. Magical energy began collapsing inward, while the projectile’s nuclear force erupted in a completely unnatural manner.

For a brief instant, the world seemed to lose its certainty, and Alexandra felt her body become unstable while her expression finally paled.

’What is this?!’

She immediately poured her power into the Cloak of Occult, and the darkness around her thickened. But the magic-nuclear explosion wasn’t attacking her directly, but it was attacking the rules around her.

The Cloak concealed her existence; it couldn’t conceal the existence of the space she occupied.

Another explosion occurred, and then another.

’BOOM!’

’BOOM!’

’BOOM!’

Reality twisted, and entire regions of darkness disappeared while some were crushed, some were burned, some were frozen in distorted states, and some simply ceased to exist.

Alexandra was forced to retreat, but retreating wasn’t easy as every movement had become a gamble. One step too far could send her into a region where spatial Laws had collapsed, and another step could put her directly into a stellar projectile.

If she moved too slowly, a magic-nuclear warhead would erase the region around her, but if she moved too quickly, she might collide with an unstable spatial fracture.

She had never experienced anything like this as the Heir of Chaotic Darkness; she had always possessed the greatest advantage in chaotic environments. But Jacob had created an environment where chaos itself had become lethal.

’Damn it!’

Alexandra gritted her teeth as she finally understood his plan.

Jacob didn’t need to find her, but he only needed to make staying hidden more dangerous than revealing herself.

She had no choice as Alexandra’s figure suddenly appeared within a distant region of darkness, and her hand swept through the void.

The Cloak of Occult erupted with Alexandra’s power, and her existence became almost completely nonexistent.

The next moment, without hesitation, she fled, but even as she escaped, she suffered, and the Cloak of Occult trembled violently.

The Cloak of Occult was an artifact beyond Alexandra’s imagination, and she could currently use only 1% of its actual power due to her limited power. Even a Higher God could only draw around sixty percent of its true power,

But even with this small portion of power, Alexandra could conceal herself, suppress her aura, and even temporarily hide herself from beings vastly stronger than her, including the rules of the Zodiac Plains.

But she couldn’t maintain it indefinitely under this kind of bombardment, as every magic-nuclear explosion shook its concealment, every stellar spirit projectile strained it, every spatial collapse forced her to spend additional energy to stabilize herself, and her own power was beginning to protest.

’I can’t maintain this state for long!’ Alexandra’s face grew pale as her body began to show signs of strain.

Although the power of the Chaotic Darkness was without a doubt terrifying, that didn’t mean it was limitless, and she was still not strong enough to wield it freely.

The Cloak of Occult was even worse, as she had only been able to use it because of Destin Saint, but she hadn’t truly mastered it, and at this moment, she was forcing it far beyond what her current control allowed.

’I have to get out!’

She accelerated, and behind her, the bombardment continued as the space of the treasury had already become unrecognizable.

The enormous stone structures had been reduced to fragments; space had collapsed in several regions; the sacrificial river was still roaring, somehow surviving beneath the protection of the ancient formation; and in the middle of this apocalypse stood Jacob.

He hadn’t moved while the Life Bane Wheel continued rotating behind him, and his lifespan continued climbing.

Under that assault, his skeletal body remained completely calm, and only his hollow sockets burned with pale flames.

At this moment, the Starfall began to slow down as if using most of the ammunition, and Alexandra finally escaped beyond the worst of the bombardment.

She breathed heavily while her fingers trembled beneath the Cloak of Occult. Nonetheless, she had survived, but barely.

’I need to leave...’

She had no intention of staying anymore, as Jacob was simply too unpredictable with his strange weapons. So, she turned, and then froze because the countless weapons above the treasury were moving again.

One by one, two by two, and thousands at a time, their damaged energy cores were already recovering, and new ammunition chambers opened.

Fresh ammunition poured inside, and stellar energy began gathering again. Thereby, the magic-nuclear weapons started glowing.

Alexandra’s face slowly lost its color. ’No...’

Black Mechanic’s voice echoed through Jacob’s mind.

"First Starfall cycle completed!

"Ammunition regeneration and redistribution proceeding!

"All weapon systems returning to firing configuration!"

The weapons rotated, and their barrels aligned once more, but this time, Alexandra knew exactly what they were capable of.

Her pupils trembled. ’He can use it again so soon?’

She had barely survived the first barrage, and the second would be worse because her powers were running out, and the Cloak of Occult was already unstable.

Moreover, the destruction surrounding her had left countless regions of space in a state she couldn’t safely traverse without her unique power.

Suddenly, Jacob slowly raised his hand, and his skeletal finger pointed toward the darkness while the Life Bane Wheel revolved behind him.

The pale flames in his hollow sockets burned colder.

He commanded in his mind, "Black Mechanic."

"Awaiting command, sir."

Jacob’s voice remained utterly indifferent. "Fire again!"

Black Mechanic answered instantly, "Command confirmed."

The countless weapons above the treasury ignited.

"Second Starfall commencing."

Alexandra’s face went completely pale, and for the first time since becoming the Heir of Chaotic Darkness, she felt genuine fear. This time, she wasn’t afraid of Jacob; she was afraid of the weapons above him!
