Cursed Immortality
Chapter 1274: Battle of Myths (3)
The heavens and earth erupted simultaneously as above; twenty Quasi-Myths clashed amidst collapsing space. Below, the endless tide of undead surged like an ocean that had finally broken through its dam.
’ROOOOOAAAAAR!!’
Millions of skeletal warriors charged without hesitation. Death Knights lowered their rusted lances in perfect unison. Nightmare steeds screamed as black flames trailed behind their hooves. Towering corpse giants strode forward, every step shaking the canyons.
Above them, countless flying abominations spread their decayed wings while liches floated behind the advancing armies, already chanting enormous battlefield spells. It was no longer an army, but a catastrophe.
Aboard the countless warships, the coalition commanders’ faces went pale, but they knew it wasn’t time to lose focus, and instantly reacted.
"Enemy charge!"
"All fleets, defensive formations!"
"Artillery batteries prepare!"
"Loose!"
’BOOOOOOOOOOM!!’
Countless pillars of light erupted from thousands of warships, and the gray heavens lit up as formation cannons fired together.
Entire rows of skeletal warriors were vaporized, corpse giants lost limbs, and hundreds of flying abominations exploded midair. Yet, not a single undead slowed. The destroyed ranks were immediately replaced.
Those behind simply climbed over the shattered bones of their predecessors. They did not scream or hesitate, nor did they even acknowledge their own destruction, for at that moment the only thing that mattered was to advance.
Even veteran commanders of Legendary King Rank felt a chill.
"What kind of monsters are these!?"
---
Far above, the Myth of Inferno tore apart another storm of poisonous feathers before the Poison Winged Wraith burst through the blazing inferno once again. Its skeletal talons ripped toward his throat while emerald ghost fire clung stubbornly to his draconic flames.
At the same instant, the Poison Wyvern Duke descended from above. Its enormous skeletal wings spread wide as poisonous Death Authority flooded the heavens.
Below, the Corpse Chimera leaped upward. Its three skeletal heads simultaneously unleashed corpse flames, poisonous breath, and compressed beams of death.
Three Quasi-Myths attacked simultaneously from three directions, and there was no escape.
’BOOOOOOOOOOM!!’
The crimson inferno vanished beneath overlapping explosions, and when the flames dispersed, the Myth of Inferno had been forced back several hundred meters. His crimson armor had cracked in several places.
The Poison Winged Wraith laughed hysterically, "Burn! Burn harder! I want to feast on your flesh!"
The Poison Wyvern Duke’s empty sockets glowed, "Your flames still belong to life...ours no longer do."
Without waiting, the Corpse Chimera charged again as none of the three cared about defending. Even after the Myth of Inferno’s draconic fire melted away entire sections of bone, gray Death Law immediately reconstructed them. They willingly accepted injuries if it allowed them to exchange another strike.
"..."
The Myth of Inferno finally understood that these creatures no longer possessed fear or caution but only endless hunger, and against such opponents, ordinary combat was meaningless.
The next moment, scarlet fire suddenly erupted from his body.
’ROOOOOOOOOAR!!’
His humanoid body dissolved into countless blazing scales, and an enormous Fire Wyvern descended upon the battlefield. Each crimson scale resembled molten crystal. His wings stretched for thousands of meters, carrying supreme draconic authority.
Behind him, a blurry astrolabe slowly appeared, which seemed like a miniature crimson sun revolved at its center while countless fiery stars circled around it. The authority of a true Fire Wyvern Quasi-Myth completely descended.
The three Dukes answered immediately, and gray Death Authority erupted, and three rotten astrolabes manifested behind them. Every astrolabe looked nearly identical; ancient, broken, and rotting.
At the very center, the same incomprehensible gray glyph slowly rotated, and their Death Authorities instantly resonated before the heavens shattered once more.
---
Elsewhere, the Myth of Thunder laughed wildly as another punch sent the Death Giant flying. Before he could pursue, the Thunder Crystal Beast crashed into him from the side, and black lightning erupted.
At the same moment, the Bone Ape descended from above with both enormous war hammers, and three overwhelming attacks collided together.
’BOOOOOOOOOOM!!’
Even the surrounding space collapsed, and the Myth of Thunder emerged from the destruction with blood dripping from his mouth, and his laughter slowly disappeared.
At this moment, he looked at the three undead and their broken ribs; their shattered skulls had all been reformed. Even crushed limbs crawled back onto their owners before reconnecting.
"Hmph...so that’s how you want to fight."
Instantly, azure lightning erupted from every pore as his already enormous body rapidly expanded, with dark violet skin covered with living lightning veins, and jagged tusks lengthened.
The heavens filled with thunderclouds as the true body of a Thunder Ogre descended. Behind him, a blurry astrolabe slowly emerged. Its core resembled an endless sea of destructive lightning while billions of thunder runes revolved around it.
The Thunder Crystal Beast howled, the Death Giant roared, and the Bone Ape beat its chest. Behind each of them, three rotten blurry astrolabes unfolded, with the same gray glyph dominating the center.
The next moment, Thunder Authority collided against corrupted Death Authority, and the battlefield disappeared beneath endless lightning.
---
Not far away, the Myth of Dark Blaze stood silently amidst endless curse formations. Every infernal flame he released devoured thousands of curses. Yet, the Curse Lich simply smiled as more appeared.
Behind him, the Headless Skeletal Knight slowly dragged its twin bone sickles across space. Above, the Corpse Crow spread wings that blotted out the sky. Every feather released another curse. The lantern of wandering souls had already become a sea of screaming spirits.
The Myth of Dark Blaze quietly sighed, "...Annoying."
The next moment, his body suddenly ignited, black flames swallowing his figure; then a towering Infernal Fiend stepped out, curved obsidian horns piercing heaven, six burning eyes slowly opening, and gigantic wings woven from black infernal fire unfolding behind him.
Thereby, the Infernal Authority surged, and a blurry astrolabe manifested, and its center resembled an endless abyss where even light disappeared.
The three Dukes of Death answered with three rotten astrolabes appearing simultaneously, with the same mysterious gray glyph occupying every center.
The Curse Lich extended one skeletal finger, the Headless Knight vanished, and the Corpse Crow screamed.
The next moment, Infernal Law, Cursed Dark Law, Soul Law, and Death Law all erupted together.
---
Elsewhere, the poisonous world belonging to the Myth of Venom had already transformed hundreds of kilometers into an emerald sea.
Ordinary Quasi-Myths would’ve already corroded with his terrifying poison, yet the Abyssal Bone Serpent happily swam through it, the Poison Wraith inhaled the poisonous mist, and the Plague Shaman continuously released corpse spores that evolved after consuming the venom.
The Myth of Venom narrowed his eyes, "You’re adapting?!"
The Bone Serpent hissed, "No, we’re feeding."
Its gigantic skeletal body suddenly expanded, and ghost venom continuously dripped from every bone.
Finally, the Myth of Venom stopped suppressing himself, and his body liquefied into endless poisonous mist. From within, an enormous Abyssal Ghost Viper emerged.
His translucent emerald scales resembled flowing poison itself, and every movement released venomous laws. Behind him, an astrolabe appeared with countless emerald stars revolving around a gigantic poisonous abyss.
Across from him, the Bone Serpent, the Poison Wraith, and the Plague Shaman, three rotten astrolabes slowly unfolded with identical gray glyphs pulsing.
The next moment, the four poisonous domains instantly collided, and even the atmosphere dissolved.
---
Meanwhile, the Myth of Alchemy calmly watched three Quasi-Myth alchemists dismantle and reconstruct entire formations.
The Arch-Lich continuously rewrote formulas, the Puppet Master transformed corpses into living weapons, and the Corpse Titan supplied endless materials.
"...Excellent...you’ve forced my hand."
The elderly gnome gently placed his ancient cauldron before him. Its bronze surface trembled, and ancient runes illuminated one after another.
The lid slowly lifted, and an endless metallic ocean erupted from within. Behind the Myth of Alchemy, a magnificent astrolabe slowly manifested, with countless metallic stars revolving around an enormous philosophical furnace.
The cauldron resonated directly with the astrolabe, and immediately, every surrounding law became ingredients.
The Arch-Lich narrowed its hollow eyes.
Three rotten astrolabes answered, and again, that identical ancient gray glyph stood proudly within every center.
The heavens became one colossal refining furnace!
