Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough
Chapter 2194: Dao Runes
Feeling the profound strength surging through his body as his cultivation realm officially broke through to the Peak of the Land Creation Realm, only one step away from the Star Creation Realm, Xuan Hao couldn’t help smiling to himself as he felt one step closer to reaching the Venerable Realm. At the same time, he couldn’t restrain his own curiosity regarding the Star Creation Realm and how to breakthrough to the Star Creation Realm.
Luckily, he didn’t have to go out searching for information and had the book with information on the Star Creation Realm that he had obtained from the tower of secrets within the mystic realm that had once been under the control of the Mirage Sect in the past.
In fact, this book had been one of the main reasons why he had been able to progress so smoothly, as it had helped him gain a deeper understanding of the Profound Immortal Realm and what was needed for him to continue progressing through the realm even without any senior figure around to teach him the basics.
So far, the knowledge beyond the Land Creation Realm within the book could have been obtained by him back when he had first broken through to the Land Creation Realm, but a strong sense of danger had washed over him back then and he decided to not access that information before it was needed... And that time was now, as he had now reached the Peak of the Land Creation Realm. Any future progress would have to be made with the goal of breaking through to the Star Creation Realm.
Whoosh~
And with this in mind, he quickly located the book in question and pulled it out from his personal interspatial ring where it had started gathering dust. His eyes focusing on the warning still present on the page before the part that detailed the Star Creation Realm.
Hesitating for only a split second before he proceeded to turn the page. Activating the special technique hidden within book, causing a terrifying force to emerge from the seemingly harmless pages before surging into depths of his mind where it turned into countless small symbols that integrated with his consciousness and transferred a vast quantity of information that even caused his soul to tremble in pain from the sudden influx of information. Making the pain anyone other than him, who already had a soul whose strength was far beyond his peers, unimaginable.
In a sense the pain he felt from the influx of information made him almost certain that he might have ended up dead if he really ended up following the warning on the book and decided to accept the vast quantity of information just after breaking through to the Land Creation Realm. Making it clear to him that this warning should have come with another note saying one would need a senior around to guide the vast quantity of information, as only that way would someone at the Early Stage of the Land Creation Realm be capable of accommodating this kind of vast influx of information.
As for what this vast information was about... It was surprising not just a standard introduction to the Star Creation Realm. Instead, it was a vast and complex blueprint for the formation of a dao star, the main goal of the Star Creation Realm.
Not that surprising given the name of the cultivation realm that it was about creating a star inside the dantian.
The surprising part was the fact that this dao star would be born through the dao lotus that had just been anchored to the embryonic world inside his dantian- or in other words, the Star Creation Realm was about turning this dao louts into a dao star through carving different dao runes into it.
The vast quantity of information he obtained that caused even his soul to be burdened, was regarding these dao runes, as they were far from simple and were terrifyingly complex to the point where even viewing the blueprint of the first dao rune caused his head to throb in pain- and the Star Creation Realm involved carving nine such runes into the dao lotus before it could be transformed into a dao star.
But that was not the end of it, there were other difficulties involved in carving these dao runes that weren’t just about comprehending those complex dao runes.
The difficulty in question being the heavenly dao that decided one had to undergo a tribulation while trying to carve those complex dao runes into the dao lotus, with the first tribulation showing upon the completion of the third dao runes, the second tribulation making itself known after the seventh dao runes was completed and the final tribulation rearing its head after the ninth dao rune was carved.
Although these tribulations weren’t deadly according to the information he had just obtained, they were infamous enough that even the author of this ancient text had complained about them.
The reason for this was simple, while the tribulations weren’t deadly, they could still shatter the complex dao runes one might have spent hundreds of years carefully carving. In a worst-case scenario, the tribulation could shatter more than just a single dao rune and send someone all the way back to square one.
But this wasn’t the most frustrating part of these tribulations. Instead, it was the fact that one would have to face them again once one reached three, seven or nine dao runes. Continuing endlessly like this until one successfully made it through and successfully elevated the dao lotus into a dao star.
The only difference between attempts being that one might have become faster at carving the dao runes with extra experience.
Of course, an even worse fate than this one was having to go through the Star Creation Realm without any prior guidance on the dao runes and having to go into it blind. Trying to carve out the dao runes through exploration alone.
Doing it in this kind of old-fashioned manner wouldn’t just mean a few hundred years lost with a failed tribulation but would instead mean tens of thousands of years if not longer for the more complex dao runes towards the end.
Just thinking about potentially losing tens of thousands of years of progress in an instant. Only to have to redo everything again and end up failing at the same step again made Xuan Hao shiver, as he could only silently pray for the sanity of the Star Creation Realm cultivators on the Ewaria Continent. Having a feeling that they didn’t have the complete dao runes in their possession like he did, now that they had essentially been carved into his consciousness. Making it difficult for him to forget them even if he couldn’t fully understand nor comprehend them yet.
Speaking of the Star Creation Realm cultivators on the Ewaria Continent, he began growing curious about them and the Southern Central Region as a whole.
But with his current strength, he had no intention of going on a trip to the Southern Central Region of the Continent. Especially so because he realized that it wouldn’t be that difficult for him to carve the first dao rune into his dao lotus and breaking through to the Star Creation Realm.
Not because the first dao rune was simple to carve, but instead because he discovered part of the dao rune had already taken shape during his breakthrough to the Peak of the Land Creation Realm when the chain had anchored his dao lotus to the embryonic world.
This had not been noticed by him earlier, as he simply had no clue what he was even looking for.
At the same time, it also gave him some insight into the fact that the embryonic world that had taken shape inside his dantian was linked together with the speed at which he could carve dao runes into the dao lotus.
Of course, the dao runes themselves didn’t form on their own and he still had to do the work of carving them into his dao lotus, but the most difficult early formation of the dao rune could be sped up through the growth of the embryonic world.
Still...
Progressing through the Star Creation Realm was bound to take even longer than the Land Creation Realm and he doubted he would be able to not just reach the Peak of the Star Creation Realm and form a dao star inside his dantian, but also breakthrough to the Venerable Realm before the ancient dao seal close to the sect ran out of steam and the being sealed away within those ancient seals broke free.
Long as a hundred years might be to a mortal, it was an incredibly short timespan for someone at the Profound Immortal Realm.
Even to Xuan Hao, who had reached his current realm at a terrifyingly fast speed, the Star Creation Realm presented a unique challenge in the form of the dao runes that had to be carefully carved into the dao lotus.
Even the first dao rune that was the easiest to complete and had already partially taken shape, would at least take him three years if not longer to complete.
Fast, sure, but the complexity and difficulty of the dao runes increased exponentially. Meaning even with the same advantage as he had with the first dao rune, the second dao rune could take him twice as long...
