Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1989 Trip Through the Capital

Chapter 1989  Trip Through the Capital

"Is something wrong?" Not understanding why, a certain rabbit had come to a stop out of seemingly nowhere, the representative from the Explorer Union tilted her head in confusion as she asked the older man walking beside said rabbit. A person who happened to be none other than the Soul Ascension Realm servant that the rabbit demon beast had forcibly recruited in the past.

"Hm? No, nothing wrong, we can continue our discussion from earlier relating to the future spiritual carrot trade at your branch." Knowing that whatever his master had seen to cause that kind of reaction was important, the older servant didn't hesitate for even a second before answering while already starting to guide the representative from the Explorer Union away.

"I see, then let's continue laying down the final points regarding the earlier agreement." Not realizing anything was wrong about the situation after the smooth and fast response, the representative from the Explorer Union just nodded her head before following along as she made her way towards the Explorer Union Branch in the capital city together with the older servant.

Lord Rabbit not following along was not the slightest bit odd to her, as she knew from prior experience dealing with this lord rabbit that pretty much anything was handled through this old servant. Any time another bunch of paperwork was about to get signed and finished up, the lord rabbit would always end up disappearing.

Maybe the only difference she had picked up this time around was the fact that the lord rabbit didn't bother hiding the fact that he wasn't the slightest bit interested in going through and working out the last few bits of their cooperative agreement.

However, this was far from enough to raise any alarms or worries, as she merely viewed it as the lord rabbit not bothering to clumsily hide the fact that he didn't find the more cumbersome paperwork and contractual process interesting.

On the contrary, she was more than happy to not have him join them, as whatever work the little lord rabbit had ever attempted lending a hand in completing almost always ended up adding more work for her and the older servant to sort through later down the line.

"Ooooh! So many mineshafts! I heard that the capital was located almost directly on top of the largest deposit of spiritual metals and from the looks if it… That description should be accurate."

At the same time the representative and the older servant left, Li Chi was busy looking around himself filled with a sense of awe and wonder as he looked towards one of the countless mineshafts located throughout the capital city that led down to the enormous and complex mine that existed below. A mine that by now had only grown in both size and complexity with the Star Shattering Sect's increased need for spiritual metal.

"Indeed, the mine below the capital can be considered the largest spiritual metal mine under the control of the sect and it doesn't just exist below the capital but stretches far beyond its boundaries. Even reaching some of the smaller nearby towns close to the capital. In a way, it isn't wrong to say that the entire Iron Sky Kingdom is connected through one massive mine below the surface."

Seeing the clear interest from Li Chi, Xuan Hao didn't hesitate to ignore the stare he was getting from a certain rabbit not too far away, as he patiently began teaching him about the massive mine that covered stretched throughout the Iron Sky Kingdoms borders. Earning a somewhat confused expression from the rabbit in question, who clearly didn't understand why it had been ignored so blatantly.

Unaware that Xuan Hao had no intention of meeting with it for now. Understanding full well that it would be far more difficult for him to properly assess Li Chi properly after he knew about his identity.

Whoosh~

Kyuun!?

And with that in mind, while Li Chi wasn't looking and before the rabbit demon beast had the chance to react, he sent it a brief command saying he would come for it in a bit before manipulating the space around the little rabbit to send it to the largest gathering of spirit stones in the capital of the Iron Sky Kingdom. Knowing that the location would be the home of his little rabbit within the Iron Sky Kingdom, as only this little rabbit would so blatantly pull out so many spirit stones to stack up instead of keeping them secure inside an interspatial ring or secret realm.

"A mine that stretches beneath the entirety of the Iron Sky Kingdom… Amazing! But… I do wonder how they avoid the ground from collapsing with such a massive mine in place?" None the wiser to the lord rabbit they were supposed to meet had been forcibly sent away, Li Chi just let out a sigh of amazement at the size of the mine below them as he posed a question that Xuan Hao was more than happy to answer.

Taking the time while talking about the Iron Sky Kingdom to get a better idea about Li Chi, something that only made him more confident in taking on this little half spirit as his sixth or maybe seventh or eighth disciple depending on how well his assessment of the seven other potential disciples preformed when he tested them as well.

In the process, this ultimately ended up resulting in the two of them spending far more time than originally anticipated looking around the capital of the Iron Sky Kingdom, something Li Chi himself didn't feel any guilt about, as he had no idea about a certain rabbit who had by now begun nervously squirming around while waiting for the two of them.

Although Xuan Hao had originally wanted to also take this opportunity while he was in the iron Sky Kingdom to meet up with Yi Min and see how she was doing, he had ended up showing up at a bad time, as the person in question was currently inside the ascension realm tower back at the Shattered Star Peak according to a few disciples they had run into along the way.

Curious as this made him about her progress through the ascension realm tower, it also reminded him that it might be a good idea for him to challenge the ascension realm tower again now that he had broken through to the Land Creation Realm. Not just to test his strength, but also to get enough ascension coins to buy himself a proper weapon that would be useful for him.

In the end, because of how long the two of them ended up walking around the capital city, by the time the two of them reached the home that the little rabbit had built for itself over the past few years, the sun was already starting to set.

However, neither of them could focus on the time, as one was awfully nervous about meeting this senior of sect known widely among everyone in the sect as lord rabbit, while the other was taken aback by the unique architecture decorated in ornate carrot engravings and smaller spirt stones that had almost definitely been thrown out after finding the spiritual qi inside them too little to even bother eating…

Creeaaak~

The silence lasted for a little over a minute before the sound of the main gate creaking open got both out of their own little worlds, as the two locked eyes with the squirrel demon beast dangling from the handle that had been too far off the ground for it to reach under normal circumstances.

Hm? Ninth Stage of the Nascent Soul Realm and already in the process of forming a pseudo domain? Looks like this little one might soon reach the Domain Lord Realm.

Observing this small squirrel demon beast and recognizing it as the first demon beast that had been recruited by the rabbit demon beast in the past, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a hint of admiration after sensing that it was already close to reaching the Domain Lord Realm after only a few years.

Although slow by the current standards of the Star Shattering Sect that had been advancing extremely rapidly over the past few years, it was considered fast for a demon beast that was already slower than a human when it came to cultivation due to their significantly longer natural lifespan.

Not to mention, the squirrel demon beast hadn't been able to take advantage of the rich cultivation environment that could be found on the Shattered Star Peaks and had to rely on gathering qi itself or whatever scraps the little rabbit left for it, something he doubted would be enough for any kind of rapid improvement in strength…

Smiling a bit wryly at this thought, Xuan Hao didn't bother with any formalities as he just signaled for the little squirrel to show them the way, something it was more than happy to do after Xuan Hao dropped his disguise for the first time since having left the sect's storage realm.

As for why a certain little rabbit had been able to recognize him while someone like a representative from the Explorer Union, who undoubtedly knew what he looked like couldn't… That had to do with the contract that had been established between himself and the rabbit demon beast.

Outside of allowing him to sense the general location of the rabbit demon beast from far away and more easily the closer he got; the rabbit demon beast could sense his presence in a similar manner. Allowing it to easily see through his little disguise.
