Chapter 1988  Paying "Lord" Rabbit a Visit...

Arriving at the place where he had built the teleportation formation in the past, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit surprised as he looked at the scene before him. Not only had the teleportation formation been further enhanced by the sect's formation masters, who had managed to expand the effects of the formation into several smaller nearby formations that linked directly to some of the most visited locations in the teleportation network of the sect. Allowing those going to those locations to avoid what had turned into the core of a small hub of teleportation formations and instead just move through the smaller teleportation formations without having to wait in line.

Outside of just the changes that had been brought to the teleportation formation that could be considered the main teleportation node of the sect through the enlightenment of the eager formation masters who had spent years at this point observing the formation, the area around the teleportation node had been filled with both disciples and elders moving around the different small shops and snack sellers that had popped up around it.

Among these popup shops, Xuan Hao noticed that not all the people running these small shops were cultivators. Specifically, most of the snack shops were run by older people who didn't have any cultivation or had barely stepped into the first or second stage of the Qi Condensation Realm.

"Senior, are you wondering why those older seniors without any cultivation are here?" Having seemingly read his thoughts, Li Chi smiled happily as he asked with a clear hint of excitement in his eyes as he glanced towards one of the snack shops.

"Yes… If I'm not wrong, they shouldn't be from the servant quarters…"

"Indeed, they aren't from the servant quarters. Most of them are from the mortal families who settled down in Falling Star City after one of their family members entered the sect. Originally, it wasn't possible for them to enter the Shattered Star Peaks, but recently, some of the younger disciples banded together and petitioned Elder Song to allow them to set up shop around this place and the teleportation formation at Ninth Star Peak.

Apparently, the snacks they make are incomparable to those found anywhere on the Seventh Star Peak and not all disciples have the time to go down to Falling Star City whenever they crave a good snack. Especially those with lower cultivation who would need far longer to reach Falling Star City, even with the teleportation formation in place. Not to mention, it was seen as a good way for the family members of the disciples to get something to look forward to."

"Look forward to? But there aren't more than twenty- maybe thirty here?"

"Ah! I didn't mean look forward to coming to the Shattered Star Peaks, although they do look forward to it, the main thing most find themselves looking forward to is the monthly snack competition that determines who can enter the Shattered Star Peaks."

"A Snack competition? Sounds interesting."

"Indeed, I joined it once and the energy was something else–and I got to eat a lot of delicious snacks!"

While the two remained deeply dedicated to the conversation regarding the monthly snack competition of Falling Star City that Xuan Hao himself had only just learnt about, the two of them finally reached the teleportation formation that would take them to the Iron Sky Kingdom.

Normally, Xuan Hao had thought he would have to go through the formation that now served as the core for several smaller formations to reach the Iron Sky Kingdom, but as it turned out, the Iron Sky Kingdom was one of the popular locations within the sphere of the Star Shattering Sect's teleportation network that had been deemed popular enough to get an exclusive passage.

Understandable as this was considering the kingdom was the single largest supplier of spiritual metal to the Star Shattering Sect and the location that the cultivation resources that came from the old territory of the Sky Empire that was still in the process of slowly being integrated into the Star Shattering Sect, Xuan Hao had a feeling that it might also have something to do with the spiritual carrot empire that his little rabbit had ended up building while he hadn't been looking.

"Let's get going…" With that in mind, he silently prepared himself as he led Li Chi through the teleportation formation. Soon enough, feeling the space around him twisting as he was pulled across a vast distance in a time unimaginable for anyone who hadn't comprehended the Dao of Space.

To say that Li Chi was excited would be an understatement, as he had already begun looking around filled with excitement after they reached the capital of the Iron Sky Kingdom, a clear sign that he hadn't spent much time outside the sect beforehand.

Then again, he was only at the Core Formation Realm and seemed to be one of the few disciples trusted enough to help manage the sect's resources. So, it was understandable that he hadn't spent much time outside the Shattered Star Peaks–if he had even left the place in the first place. After all, he was someone from the half spirit race and should have spent his entire life within the boundaries of the Shattered Star Peaks before the Star Shattering Sect had decided to settle down there.

However, he himself had similarly begun to look around the Iron Sky Kingdom's capital. Not because the capital city itself was especially interesting to him, but instead because he sensed the presence of the little rabbit he had come looking for.

No… Not just close, but he could feel that it wasn't more than a dozen or so meters from his current location.

"Hm?"

And as he turned to look in the direction that he sensed the presence of the little rabbit, he soon enough found himself directly facing the little rabbit, whose face froze upon spotting him as well, causing the representative from the Explorer Union walking beside it to stop with a confused expression on her face. Not understanding why Lord Rabbit had suddenly stopped moving…
