Chapter 1939  Finding a Test Subject~

Not lingering around the space outside the ascension realm tower for too long, Xuan Hao soon made his way back to his home close to the qi spring lake at the center of the Seventh Star Peak. Taking his time on his way back by walking normally instead of directly teleporting back in a single step. For once realizing just how large the Seventh Star Peak truly was, as it ended up taking him over an hour to make his way back to his home from the ascension realm tower that was located close to the edge of the Seventh Star Peak.

In the process, he also realized that outside of the clear improvements to the sect's infrastructure since the qi spring lake flood incident that had been caused by Mui and Song Jia, Elder Song had also taken the liberty to make improvements to the different channels that moved excess spiritual water off the mountain. Ensuring that they would function just fine even if the spiritual water production increased again in the future, something that he also had a feeling would happen with someone like Mui around. Not to mention, there was still the chance of him getting his hands on more qi springs in the future.

Speaking of Elder Song, he wondered what the old man was up to, as he hadn't sensed his presence any where within the Shattered Star Peak when his divine sense swept through the mountains earlier, something rather odd for someone like Elder Song who almost exclusively resided on the Shattered Star Peaks.

The only other locations he could think of that someone like Elder Song would go would be Falling Star City where the representatives of the different subordinate powers under the Star Shattering Sect were staying.

But after expanding the area covered by his divine sense to include Falling Star City, there was still no sign of Elder Song. Leaving him rather confused, as it was rare for the old man to step outside what could be considered the core of the Star Shattering Sect's territory.

The only place he could think of that the old man might have gone being a newly established branch sect or to visit the old Flying Sword Sect, as he and some of the new former elders of the Flying Sword Sect would return to the old Flying Sword Sect to reminisce every now and then, something that was rather simple to do with how close the Shattered Star Peaks was to the old Flying Sword Sect and the simple fact that there existed a teleportation formation between the two.

Deciding to not bother Elder Song as he might be taking some time off from his normally overbooked schedule, Xuan Hao instead decided to find Feng Chen and ask him about any elders who might be planning to attempt a breakthrough to the Soul Ascension Realm. Having already planned to pay him a visit to hand him the improved version of the Rain Sword Art he had managed to create during his battle with the withering tree. Knowing that he would be happy to lend him a hand with anything he asked after being given such a precious sword technique.

"Someone planning to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm? No… There shouldn't be anyone among the elders at the Peak of the Domain Lord Realm who are preparing to break through from what I know, but then again, if you share the information about the ascension secret realm helping improve chances of breaking through and surviving the heavenly tribulation, I'm sure a few of those who have been hesitating to take that step will step forward."

Having handed over the improved version of the Rain Sword Art that he had taken some time to write down before reaching Feng Chen's home, Xuan Hao listened closely to what Feng Chen said. Feeling a bit disappointed upon hearing that there wasn't anyone in the sect planning to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm.

Even if what Feng Chen said about some potentially stepping forward if he shared the existence of the ascension secret realm with them, he still wasn't sure about the ascension secret realm's ability to help those trying to reach the Soul Ascension Realm and didn't want to be potentially responsible for these elders stepping forward before they were ready.

But just as he was about to leave after the disappointing realization that he would likely have to wait for some time to find out if the ascension secret realm worked, Feng Chen suddenly seemed to have remembered something. "Ah, but if someone trying to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm, there is someone who is planning to break through to the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm in a few days."

"That is fine, where is this person?" Hearing what Feng Chen said, Xuan Hao could not help breathing a silent sigh of relief as he asked this, a question that Feng Chen was more than happy to answer, as Xuan Hao soon enough found himself with the name and location of someone suitable for testing out the ascension secret realm without having to wait for potentially months until someone decided to take the leap of faith and attempt to break through to the Soul Ascension Realm.

The person in question was not an originally from the Star Shattering Sect, but instead a wandering cultivator who had been recruited into the sect as a guest elder and recently been promoted into a sect elder. Having joined the sect as a Soul Ascension Realm cultivator who had used his time in the sect to slowly deepen his foundation before, he now felt confident in challenging the Second Tribulation of the Soul Ascension Realm.

Someone who would undoubtedly be more than happy to go along with his plans to test out the ascension secret realm, as there wasn't any downside to breaking through inside the secret realm outside of the rather boring surroundings. Not that any of that would matter if the place really did improve someone's chance of overcoming their tribulation.
