Chapter 1908  Ascension Realm Tower (2)

Entering the tower that had been created by the system referred to as the Ascension Realm, Xuan Hao found himself inside a large open space that looked like some kind of reception area with a large spiral staircase at the center leading upwards towards what he assumed to be the next floor of the tower.

Observing the space, Xuan Hao was a bit surprised to discover that the overall internal space of the ground floor of the tower was at least three times larger than what the outside size of the tower suggested… And given that the overall circumference of the tower itself was already around 250 meters, it was a rather large space that was more than enough to accommodate everyone from the sect if they entered the tower at the same time. The main reason why he hadn't discovered the true size immediately after stepping inside being because the tower was split up into three sections on the ground floor.

The normal reception area that was the expected size of the tower and two connecting doors at either side of the entrance led inside equally large rooms whose purpose he couldn't grasp, as all he could see in one room was several large empty scrolls, while the second was similar in appearance to a store of some kind. Only completely empty. Making him wonder if the system wanted him to have the sect change that side room into a shop of some kind.

Perhaps the system wants to turn into management simulation system and wants me to run a shop now?

Chuckling slightly to himself as he thought about this, Xuan Hao soon turned his attention towards the spiral staircase leading up towards the next floor of the tower. Understanding that the system likely wasn't planning to have him run a store of some kind, but likely had some other purpose for the store like room at the side… And he had a feeling that by venturing up the spiral staircase, he might get a better idea about what the purpose of the two side rooms was.

But just as he took his first step up the spiral staircase, a notification from the system caught him by surprise as he suddenly froze mid step. Not so much because of the message itself but what it implied.

"So… During these few minutes of me looking around… The tower was still expanding…?" Feeling a slight shiver run down his spine as he tried picturing just how tall the tower had become in whatever place it ended up after travelling through the suspicious cloud that acted as a spatial gate, Xuan Hao could not help feeling even more curious about the true purpose of this tower, as he attempted to subtly get some information about it from the system itself.

Unfortunately, no matter how hard he tried, after the construction complete message from the system, he didn't get any more notifications about the tower nor did he gain any way to control the tower itself in a way similar to how he could control the chaotic qi formation guarding the Shattered Star Peaks.

The only way for him to find out more was by ascending the tower like he had originally been about to do-

And so, without any hesitation, he quickly flew up the spiral staircase before finding himself standing at the top of the spiral staircase just one step away from entering the first floor. Having come to a stop because he clearly sensed a spatial anomaly in front of him upon reaching the top of the spiral staircase.

"A spatial passage of some kind and from the fluctuations alone, it isn't just a single spatial passage, but countless spatial passages." Muttering this to himself as he observed the spatial anomaly in front of him, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a sense of awe.

The last time he had seen so many spatial passages linked together to a single location was during the Celestial Trials inside the Mystic Realm but even compared to the complex spatial network of that place, the spatial complexity of the internal structure of the spatial anomaly in front of him was leagues ahead.

If he had some clue about being able to bypass or even recreate what had been created in the Celestial Trials of the mystic realm upon surpassing the Perfection Realm and reaching the Origin Realm in the Dao of Space, he had no idea when he would be able to replicate the spatial complexity of what now appeared in front of him.

Even more frustrating, because of just how far beyond his current comprehension of the Dao of Space it was, he couldn't even use it to improve his comprehension of the Dao of Space.

"How frustrating…" Frowning for a bit as he stared at the complex spatial network that spread out before him, Xuan Hao slowly took a step forward and found himself seamlessly stepping forward and onto the first floor of the tower. The expected spatial shuffling of being moved through a spatial passage completely absent, as he didn't even notice himself traversing anywhere. Only sensing some spatial fluctuations that quickly disappeared around him the next first with the assistance of his Perfection Realm Dao of Space.

Turning around, he found that the passage leading back down to the ground floor had turned completely dark. Not allowing him to turn back, as he also discovered that the complex spatial network he had sensed earlier had completely disappeared.

Worried as he was about this sudden change, he still turned around to inspect the first floor of the tower with a hint of caution and curiosity. Not thinking that the tower created by the system would trap him and kill him.

"This… Is the second floor of the tower…?"

However, different from what he had expected the first floor of the tower to look like, what he saw was a wide-open grass field that spread out endlessly in all directions around him with no end in sight.

Or that was at least the illusion it gave, as in the far distance, Xuan Hao could still see a towering mountain range circling around the entire grass field with the familiar looking walls of the tower emerging behind them towering far higher than them before disappearing amidst the clouds above.

Although not endless, the first floor of the tower was nowhere near comparable to the ground floor and could be considered an entire secret realm on its own. Making him even more curious about what the purpose of the tower was and even more so excited at the prospect of it really being a special building that contained several unique realms that the sect could make use of for creating different cultivation resources.

Take the grass plains on the first floor of the tower as an example, outside of the endless sea of green and what looked like a few weaker demon beasts at the Qi Condensation Realm roaming the place, there wasn't anything else present. Meaning that… The sect would be able to make full use of the massive space to potentially create something like a large spiritual herb field.

Or that was at least what he thought before a familiar panel appeared in front of him.

However, different from the panel used by the system, he could clearly sense that the on that had appeared in front of him this time around had been made up from some kind of formations and should be visible to others…

And reading through the information that had popped up in front of him, he quickly realized that this panel didn't come from the system but had instead come from the Ascension Realm itself. Outlining the purpose of this first floor of the ascension realm, while also giving him a clear understanding of the tower itself in the process.

Even with his little experience when it came to this kind of thing, it was clear that the Ascension Realm was a training space of some kind.

Although disappointing that he wouldn't be able to turn the grass fields around him into a massive spiritual herb farm, he was still overjoyed knowing that the sect would have another source of cultivation resources in the future, while also having another way for the sect's disciples to challenge themselves without the need to risk their lives against demonic cultivators.

But… He did start becoming curious, curious about just how far he himself would be able to get in this tower…
