Chapter 1907 Ascension Realm Tower (1)
Chapter 1907 Ascension Realm Tower (1)
Improving Baobao or potentially finding a way to make more Baobaos in the future aside, Xuan Hao found himself feeling the changes in the chaotic qi formation for a few seconds. Making sure that the formation had completed its upgrade before redeeming the second reward from the main sect quest, the world stone. Cautiously observing any potential changes to his surroundings as the world stone appeared in front of him as a simple ordinary looking stone.
If not for a sudden shift in the surrounding spiritual qi the second it appeared, he might have really mistaken it for an ordinary stone at first glance. However, outside of causing a slight disturbance in the surrounding spiritual qi upon appearing, the world stone didn't cause any significant changes to the surrounding environment. The changes that had appeared being only noticeable to himself before the chaotic qi formation moved to stop the small disturbance from spreading anywhere beyond his cultivation room.
"I really hope this thing is useful in the construction of a secret realm…" Quietly muttering this to himself as he looked at the seemingly ordinary stone that was the world stone, Xuan Hao could not help feeling a bit nervous thinking about how he might have mistaken the use of this rather unique stone. After all, though he had believed it to be a special material useful in the creation of a secret realm given its name, he didn't really have any idea about the use of the world stone and could only guess from its name.
Now that he had it in his hands, he could begin to experiment with it to try and figure out its purpose, as he doubted searching for information on something that had a quality above that of the Saint Grade would be simple on the Ewaria Continent and even beyond.
Luckily, the way to test if something was useful in the construction of a secret realm was rather simple, as all one needed was to ensure that the material in question had a spatial affinity. Not that different from the requirements for spiritual metal used in the creation of special spatial artifacts like interspatial rings.
Although the quality of the world stone meant it would take some time to properly test it, it wouldn't be that difficult to accomplish with his current comprehension of the Dao of Space.
Whoosh~
Throwing the relatively ordinary looking world stone into his interspatial ring for now, Xuan Hao soon turned his attention towards the final reward for completing the main sect quest and the one thing that had essentially come out of the blue and caught him off guard. The Ascension Realm.
At first glance, he guessed that it might be some kind of opportunity similar to the enlightenment space he had experienced in the past or a secret realm that he would be able to place like the qi springs he had been given by the system in the past. However, as he redeemed this third reward from the system, he was surprised to discover that it was neither, as a new panel appeared in front of him, the second he redeemed the final reward.
[Please choose a location to place the Ascension Realm]
Although the words seemed to suggest it was a secret realm that he could place somewhere inside the sect, the outline shown as he played around with the panel clearly showed that it wasn't some gateway leading into a secret realm, but instead a building. A fact that only made him more confused, as he wondered why a building had been called a realm.
Unless… The building itself served as some kind of… Fancier entrance to a secret realm?
Filled with curiosity as he thought about this, Xuan Hao couldn't wait to place down this new system exclusive building. soon enough flying out his cultivation room to find somewhere to place it. Arriving at the Combat Hall a short time later, as he knew that the area around the Combat Hall was one of the few locations on the Seventh Star Peak that remained barren and without much development. Mainly because there were plans to expand the Combat Hall at some point in the future and therefore, a lot of space had been left empty to accommodate a large Combat Hall in the future.
Taking up a small corner of this space for the Ascension Realm Building would be fine. Not to mention, he had a feeling that this building would be important for the sect in the future. Even if he still didn't have much of an idea what this building that outwardly looked like a rather tall spire like building was for.
Rumble~
"Huh…?"
Placing down the large tower shaped building that looked to be no more than a bit higher than the taller buildings in the sect, Xuan Hao could not help freezing on the spot as he suddenly noticed the tower emerging out of thin air in front of him… Of course, the surprise didn't come from the sudden emergence of the building, as this was something he had already expected. Instead, it was the fact that the tower that seemed no taller than a few dozen meters suddenly shot past the blueprint he had seen of the tower earlier and continued upwards without an sign of stopping.
From the original height of a few dozen meters, the tower soon shot past 500 meters before breaking the 1-kilometer mark and by the 2-kilometer mark, Xuan Hao began to seriously worry about it colliding with the upper section of the chaotic qi formation.
However, this worry seemed to have been for nothing, as upon reaching the height of a little over three kilometers, the tower disappeared inside a rather suspicious looking cloud that had somehow emerged above it.
Though… After probing this mysterious cloud with his divine sense, he quickly realized that the cloud acted as some kind of unique spatial gate that only allowed the tower to pass through it and likely continue growing in wherever the other side of the unique spatial gate that was the rather suspicious looking cloud was.
Even if he wanted to know where the rest of the tower had ended up, he found much to his dismay, that he had no way to force himself through that unique spatial gate, nor did he have any way to make use of his profound comprehension of the Dao of Space to get any spatial coordinates about where that unique cloud shaped spatial gate led.
All he could do was admire the strange thing from a distance, as even using it to further his own understanding of the Dao of Space was a helpless endeavor. Not because it was impossible for him to sense any spatial fluctuations from the suspicious looking cloud, but more so because the rules involved in the creation of the suspicious looking cloud were far beyond his current realm of understanding.
Even staring at it for a few hours, he wouldn't be able to grasp anything from it outside of a distinct feeling that he still had far to go when it came to the Dao of Space…
"Huh? A tower? When did such a large tower appear in the sect?"
"I… I don't know, I didn't see it passing by earlier…"
"How odd… Should we check it out?"
Hearing the chatter of a few disciples who had been on their way to the Combat Hall chatting amongst each other as they seemed to have not seen him and had all their attention focused on the ridiculously tall tower that had suddenly appeared out of seemingly thin air not too far away from the Combat Hall, Xuan Hao understood that it wouldn't be long before more people noticed the tower and along with that, Elder Song and other elders would undoubtedly show up to investigate the situation.
Before that happened, he would love to get an understanding about what the usage of this strange tower was so he could at least give some kind of explanation to Elder Song and the rest of the Sect Elders that would soon show up.
And… To ensure that nothing happened while he was checking out the inside of the tower, he decided to place a rather friendly looking sign in front of it before slipping inside.
[I made the tower. Doing some last second preparations inside and will be back shortly. Xuan Hao]
Perfect sign, more than enough to make Elder Song and anyone else who wanted to enter the tower to check it out wait outside for him to finish figuring out what the use of the tower was for the sect.
Not so much because of the convincing message, but more so because it was him using his own name for once to suppress the situation for now and ensure that no one ended up causing trouble. After all, for all he knew, the tower might be more deadly than it appeared on the surface and someone recklessly entering might end up losing their life…
