Outside the private room, Linda paced back and forth with the phone in her hand. She had a nagging suspicion so she had searched up Mr. Wang’s name.

All the recent news talked about his profitable investments and business acumen but Linda accidentally tapped on a link that took her to a news from a few years ago.

The moment read the first paragraph of the article, Linda’s face paled.

’Crash’

’Bang’

The sound of things crashing and glass shattering pierced through the private room and Linda immediately rushed forward. But, she was blocked and thrown off by the bodyguards.

Linda endured the pain and rose from the floor before she approached the bodyguards, "I will call the police right now, if you don’t let me enter," she threatened them coldly, "Cooperate with me, let me in now. If the police comes later, there will be no saving for you."

The bodyguards exchanged a look.

Linda held her breath as she prayed for them to take the bait, ’I can’t wait till the police arrives. It will be too late by then,’

’Crash’

Something shattered inside the private room again and Linda immediately tried to rush through the guards. But in a swift movement, one man restrained her while the other threw her phone away.

Linda opened her mouth to scream, to alert the other people in the nearby private rooms but right then, she heard a familiar voice.

"Linda?" Kira stood at the entrance of the hall that led to the private rooms.

"Miss Kira, hurry! Bring people here!"

"What’s going on?" Kira blinked slowly.

"Miss Kira, we have made a mistake. It’s true that Mr. Wang is corrupt in his ways, you merely wanted Miss Qing to suffer a loss so she wouldn’t waste her time anymore but we overlooked one thing!"

Linda struggled against the bodyguard’s hold as she desperately spoke, "Mr. Wang has a messy private life and he was accused of taking advantage of multiple women in the past. Miss Kira, there is still time to save Miss Qing..."

"Stuff her mouth with something," Kira’s smile dropped as she looked at the bodyguard who was restraining Linda.

Linda’s eyes widened in disbelief, "You..."

Before she could utter another word, a handkerchief was pushed through her mouth and tied in a dead knot behind the nape of her neck.

Tears rolled down her eyes as she struggled to break free but her hands were restrained even tighter as the bodyguard slammed her against the wall.

"Almost ruined my plan," Kira looked at Linda in disdain as she walked to the private room, "Go, throw her in the washroom that’s under maintenance. Be discreet."

Linda struggled as she looked up, gazing at the CCTV cameras in the corners. A hint of hope rose in her eyes but it was crushed by Kira right away.

"Another thing about Mr. Wang is that after his past record, he has learnt keep his tracks clean. All these cameras are trash for the day, you imbecile!"

Once Linda was dragged away, Kira smiled in satisfaction as she pressed her ear on the closed door.

A muffled scream echoed but the sound drowned out as something shattered inside the private room.

’Crash’

"Mr. Wang is not holding back at all," Kira sighed, "Sis, you shouldn’t blame me for this. You brought this upon yourself."

By the time she straightened from the door, there were already tears in rolling down her eyes. Kira’s entire face turned red and her breathing came in heavy pants, "Daddy... Daddy...."

She ran out of the private hall.

In the main hall, Beth was whispering something in Daniel’s ears when Kira’s voice panicked voice pierced through the peace of the restaurant.

"Daddy... Daddy!" Kira sobbed.

"What are you screaming for?" Daniel frowned as the people in the nearby tables glanced at them.

"Daddy..." Kira broke down, seemingly unable to utter a single word.

"Dear," Beth stood up, "Calm down first, calm down and tell us what happened."

Kira panted as she pointed her fingers in the direction of the hall leading to the private room, "Sis... Sister... Let’s go find sister. I saw some scary looking men in that hall."

The human nature was such that when people themselves were not a part of the drama, they were the most invested in it.

In a matter of few seconds, a crowd had formed around them, and some of the people were already heading in the direction where Kira pointed.

"Master Qing!" The manager pushed through the chaos and made his way to Daniel Qing.

"Block that hall," Daniel Qing coldly ordered, "Don’t let anyone nearby and make sure that not a single word of this goes outside."

"Yes... Yes..." The manager immediately motioned to the security.

Daniel Qing’s expressions turned stormy as he followed Kira to the private hall.

"Daddy, here.... It’s this room!" Kira pointed at the private room.

Only one bodyguard was standing at the door. But when Daniel Qing stepped forward, the bodyguard firmly blocked his path.

"Step aside," Daniel’s voice turned icy.

The bodyguard hesitated but didn’t move from his spot, "Our Master’s orders are to not disturb him and the lady..."

Those words seemed to add fuel to the forest fire that had already started spreading around Daniel Qing.

"Tell your Master that no door in the world is sturdy enough to halt Daniel Qing," Daniel shoved the man aside, "Scram!" His thunderous roar echoed in the hall before he stormed inside the room.

Kira lowered her head to hide her smile.

"What’s going on?" Beth whispered in a daughter’s ears.

"My favorite show," Kira wiped her tears as she followed her father.

"Daddy... Daddy, don’t be upset with sis. She must have her reasons. Please don’t misunderstand her," Kira’s words came to an abrupt halt when she entered the private room.

For a second, her mouth opened and closed but no words came out of it. She glanced ahead in a daze, her eyes wide.
