"Mr. Wang?" Sienna paused.

Linda did not dare to meet her gaze as she said, "Previously, Mr. Wang used to be one of our investors. He has shown timely support. So, if we have to reach back to someone, he would be the best choice."

"You really think so?"

Linda nodded with a professional smile on her face, "If he sees that you are the new face of Qing Horizons, he wouldn’t make things difficult for you."

"I will trust your judgement then. Do you think we can have a meeting with him today?"

Linda nodded, "I will arrange it right away," Once she was out of the office, she pulled out her phone and made a call, "Tell Miss Kira it’s done."

By 7pm, Sienna arrived at a high-end restaurant and Linda followed her, filling her in on their past exchanges and collaborations with Mr. Wang.

They were headed in the direction of the private room but they had barely crossed the main hall when an excited voice chimed behind Sienna, "Sis!"

Kira stood up from her table as she waved at Sienna, "Sis, come join us!"

Sienna turned around and found her father seated next to Kira’s mother around the round table.

Daniel Qing glanced at Sienna, pausing for a brief moment. But Sienna did not look at him. Frowning, the man averted his gaze as he resumed eating.

"Coincidentally, we have another chair around the table today. We must be fated to have a family dinner. Sis, come over!" Kira smiled brightly.

"I am busy," Sienna turned around and walked away.

Behind her, Kira attempted to call out to her again but she was stopped by Daniel Qing.

"Daddy, why won’t you let me urge sis a little more? It has been so long since we last dined together. Whatever she is doing... couldn’t be more important than our family dinner, right?"

Beth nodded as she looked at her husband, "Lately, Sienna has become more and more wilful. It was fine she went against me and Kira before but now, she refuses to give you some face too."

Daniel sighed, "Daughters... Once they are grown up, they have a mind of their own. Sienna is no exception. Losing her mother at a young age has affected her temperament.

"But..." the man added, "She is reckless and impulsive but she is still a sensible child. Let her be..."

Both the mother-daughter duo’s expressions shifted slightly, hearing his gentle words.

"Darling, I am so happy to see you are finally starting to understand Sienna more," Beth rubbed the corner of her eyes, seemingly wiping a tear.

Daniel Qing nodded, "Her actions at the charity gala were commendable and my friends are envious of me for having such capable daughters. I will naturally praise her achievements just the way I condemn her mistakes."

The table fell silent. Kira looked in the direction Sienna had left in, "It looks like sis is heading to the private rooms. She must be meeting an important person today."

Daniel nodded, "Your sister is not heartless. In the future, seek her out if you need some guidance. She won’t turn you down."

Kira nodded her head in agreement but under the table, her long nails were piercing into her palm.

Noticing her daughter’s behaviour, Beth met her gaze and shook her head slightly.

"I understand, Daddy," Kira loosened her fingers, "I will head to the restroom for a bit."

Once she left the table, Kira’s smile dropped.

On the other side, when Sienna and Linda reached the private room, there were two bulky bodyguards outside the door.

Linda stepped forward to open the door but a bodyguard blocked her, "Wait outside. Mr. Wang would meet with the managing director alone."

Linda frowned, "I am Miss Sienna’s secretary. I need to present in the meeting."

When she moved to open the door again, the bodyguard reached out to hold her. But before his hand could touch hers, Sienna pulled Linda behind her, "There is no need to be rude. I will meet with Mr. Wang in private."

She turned to Linda, "Wait for me outside."

Linda trembled, "But... I..." Before she could utter a word, Sienna nodded at her reassuringly and entered the room.

Linda was already not feeling well before but now, she couldn’t avoid the sense of unease pressing on her chest. She stepped forward to enter the private room but the bodyguards blocked her.

When Sienna stepped inside the room, her footsteps slowed.

The private room was dimly lit with flashing lights. The ambience felt less like a restaurant and more like a nightclub.

She inhaled a deep breath and walked inside. In the dark ambience, she spotted a shadow in the corner, seated on the couch.

When she stepped closer, the man fully entered her view. The rotund man looked to be somewhere in his late 30s. Dressed in a three piece suit, the man was half slumped over the couch with a cigarette in his hand.

"Mr. Wang?"

"Ah, you must be the new managing director, hmm?" The man adjusted his glasses as he squinted his eyes to glance at Sienna.

"Yes, we had a meeting today."

His eyes slowly trailed along the line of her legs, lingering on her figure before he looked at her face. His mouth curved in a sleazy smile, "Come, come, sit on my lap and we can start the meeting right away."

Sienna’s eyes turned cold, "You seem drunk. I will have the meeting postponed to some other day."

"Don’t act like you didn’t know what this meeting was about before you came here. Between the two of us, who doesn’t know the dire circumstances of Qing Horizons? If you want to save the godforsaken place, you need to make some sacrifices," Mr. Wang rubbed his lips.

Sienna did not say anything, "I will take my leave now."

"What’s the rush, beauty? Didn’t you come here for my money?! Just spend the night with me and tell me how much you need," the man laughed.

Without sparing him a word, Sienna turned to leave. But she had barely taken a step when the man grabbed her wrist and yanked her backwards.
