Chapter 1280: Chapter 670: Extra Story: Nothing but Love 1

Rebecca Quentin said, "I’m worried about you driving back alone..."

"I just called Chester, he’s already on his way here." It was Howard Geoffrey speaking, the gloom and danger from earlier had vanished from his face, replaced by concern. Howard had always been calm and composed, but Rebecca Quentin was his bottom line, and anyone who touched that line would see him lose control.

Alice Robinson widened her eyes in shock.

Howard Geoffrey calmly stated, "You must explain things clearly to him now; suspicion won’t help your relationship."

Rebecca Quentin nodded, "When Chester arrives, have a good talk about last night, and remember not to argue... speak calmly."

Alice Robinson lightly bit her lip and nodded.

Howard Geoffrey said, "He’ll need a little more time to get here, come back with us to Jones’ Mansion, let Christine and Becca keep you company and chat with you."

"No need..." Alice Robinson shook her head, insisting, "I’ll wait for him here, you guys go back first!"

Rebecca Quentin said nervously, "How can we feel at ease with you here alone?"

Alice Robinson looked up, meeting Rebecca Quentin’s concerned gaze, and reluctantly managed a smile, "Are you afraid I’ll do something stupid here?"

Seeing the smile on Alice Robinson’s face, Rebecca Quentin finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Howard Geoffrey embraced Rebecca Quentin, "Let her be alone here for a while!"

"Alright, Alice..." Rebecca Quentin held Alice Robinson’s hand, "Promise me, have a good talk with Chester, share all your fears and insecurities with him, let him help you solve these troubles."

"Okay."

Rebecca Quentin gave Alice Robinson a final hug and then got into the car.

Howard Geoffrey sighed and said to Alice Robinson, "The thing men dislike most is women keeping everything inside, especially someone like Chester, who has low emotional intelligence; he needs you to open up and explain things clearly."

Rebecca Quentin lightly nodded.

Howard Geoffrey headed to the driver’s seat, got into the car, and drove away.

Alice Robinson watched the car fade away, gradually becoming lost in thought.

Chester Robinson arrived after Alice Robinson had been sitting dazed in a corner of the café for over an hour.

When she saw Chester, Alice came back to her senses, and their eyes met.

It was around two or three in the afternoon, foreigners’ tea time, so there were a few people talking and drinking coffee in the café. However, at that moment, everything in Alice’s eyes was so quiet it seemed like it was only the two of them left in the world, as if everything around them had frozen.

Alice Robinson stared blankly at Chester, noticing his face was livid.

Chester walked over to her with a cold aura, grabbed her wrist, and walked straight out of the café.

His grip was strong, painfully squeezing her wrist.

"It hurts... let go of my hand, let go..." Alice pleaded along the way, but Chester ignored the pain in her wrist, pulling her out of the café.

Outside the café door, Alice finally snapped Chester’s hand away, furrowing her eyebrows in pain, "It hurts!" she said as she vigorously rubbed her wrist.

Chester did not make any further moves, narrowing his cold eyes into a line, staring at her intensely, "You’re too much!"

Alice Robinson quickly raised her eyes, meeting his cold gaze.

"Reckless and unreasonable, without distinguishing right from wrong, is this your maturity over the years?"

Before he came, she had already made up her mind that if he explained where he was last night, she would apologize and open up about her worries. But at this moment, when he looked at her so expressionlessly, with a blaming posture, her heart felt as if countless insects were gnawing at it, the pain spreading through her entire being.

She didn’t answer him, turned and started to walk away.

He didn’t chase after her, only coldly said behind her back, "Repeatedly doubting me and Becca, and every time I’ve explained. Why does my word carry no weight with you? If there is really no credibility, you could directly tell me your worries, so why pretend to be genuinely unconcerned about my past affection for Becca? If you have something to say, why can’t you open your heart and tell me, instead of coming here to Rebecca to argue behind my back? Do you really think that when I got a call from Howard saying you were causing a scene here, my mood would be good?"

His words of accusation filled her already aggrieved heart with a sour feeling.

Tears began to uncontrollably fall, heavy drops hitting the ground.
