Chapter 744: Investigation [Spacecraft Bonus - ]

A few more hours passed, and soon, the convoy of cars passed through the Inner Rings and finally arrived at the Zero Rings after another round of security checks.

Asher’s eyes remained fixed upon the car window as he gazed at the world beyond. Skyscrapers stretched endlessly in every possible direction, each building constructed from various forms of glass and polished metallic structures. There was nothing resembling castles, manors, ancient estates, or noble fortresses here, there was only modern civilization, and nothing else.

"Welcome to the Zero Rings," FatelessPen spoke calmly. "Here, you shall meet Young Masters and Young Ladies possessing more pride than even the Dragons written about within stories." The man mused lightly.

Asher could already spot numerous young people outside as their car moved through the roads. The speed of the vehicle had already slowed significantly, making it clear they were nearing their destination.

"I do not need to tell you this," FatelessPen suddenly continued, his tone becoming more serious, "but simply because you do not wish to create diplomatic problems for the Empire and Academy while visiting a foreign Empire does not mean you should tolerate disrespect from anyone of the younger generation."

His eyes swept across the students calmly, "If they challenge you, fight them," he paused briefly before adding, "just don’t kill them."

Everyone listened attentively as FatelessPen continued speaking.

"You all are here to dominate and prove to the world exactly why you stand above everyone else within your generation. That is all." He paused momentarily before a rather sinister smirk spread across his lips. "And if anyone from the older generation dares seek revenge on behalf of their Young Master afterward... then you need not worry," FatelessPen’s smile widened slightly,

"I shall handle them myself." His tone carried an almost disturbingly evil undertone.

Everyone stared silently at FatelessPen before nodding their heads in understanding.

Asher naturally understood the hidden mutual understanding between the Empires.

There was absolutely no way groups of arrogant and prideful geniuses from different Empires would gather together without eventually challenging one another, especially with the competition approaching so closely.

Every Empire practically allowed such things.

After all, not everyone would participate directly in the grand competition itself, so allowing some individuals to test their strength, abilities, and swords against foreign opponents beforehand was only natural.

Within a few minutes, their vehicle finally came to a complete stop. Without wasting any time, FatelessPen opened the door and stepped out calmly. Asher, Vaelric, Finch, William, and Ryaen followed immediately behind him.

The very moment FatelessPen exited the vehicle, he dismissed all his clones simultaneously before gathering the students together once more.

Asher slowly raised his head his neck almost felt like breaking from the sheer height of the building towering before him, from his estimation alone, the structure possessed a minimum of two hundred floors.

The Female Commander from earlier stepped forward gracefully before stopping beside FatelessPen, "I shall now lead you toward the Hotel Reception Floor," she stated calmly.

"Thank you," FatelessPen replied politely.

Asher’s eyes suddenly shifted toward the side. Amongst all the outrageous skyscrapers surrounding his vision, one stood vastly taller than all the others, completely dwarfing them as though they were mere ordinary buildings.

"What is that building?" Asher asked quietly, he could not even see the top of it, the peak of the skyscraper pierced directly into the clouds themselves as though it had been constructed specifically to reach the Heavens.

FatelessPen paused momentarily before turning his gaze toward the enormous structure that had captured everyone’s attention.

"That," FatelessPen replied calmly, "is the Awakener Association Building," his eyes lingered upon the massive skyscraper for a brief moment, "it is said to possess a minimum of five hundred floors. The Overlord herself resides there, alongside the strongest beings within the Thalvorn Empire. Essentially, the top 0.01 percent of the entire Empire lives within that building."

Asher did not even need to guess to know that no one back on Earth would dare attempt constructing something on such a scale.

The height alone was easily over several thousand meters, such was the terrifying marvel created through the fusion of technology and supernatural abilities.

The Commander arched an eyebrow subtly upon hearing FatelessPen’s explanation, mentally, she made a note to investigate him thoroughly once she returned to her office. After all, the man spoke with excessive familiarity regarding the Thalvorn Empire. To her, he could very well have once been an undercover spy who had completed his mission and left.

But regardless of her suspicions, such thoughts did not interfere with her current duties.

"Let’s go," FatelessPen stated calmly as he began walking forward once more, he had already seen the building countless times in the past, so it no longer inspired awe within him.

The Commander nodded before leading everyone toward the massive structure ahead.

Together, they entered the building, the very moment they stepped inside, numerous Hotel workers immediately bowed respectfully while welcoming them toward the Zero Rings. Although only individuals possessing status, influence, or power resided within the Zero Rings, society itself still required ordinary people in order to function properly.

After all, no one realistically expected Young Masters and Young Ladies to become hotel receptionists or managers. Thus, the individuals bowing respectfully before them were mostly people at the very bottom of the Life Ranks or those who had never successfully awakened at all.

Normally, skyscrapers served numerous purposes, with different floors rented out toward companies, organizations, and businesses, but this particular skyscraper existed solely as a Hotel, nothing else.

The Hotel Manager stepped forward before speaking politely, "welcome to the Gentle Hotel. We pride ourselves on being one of the top five Hotels within the Zero Rings." His tone was calm, respectful, and inviting. "Please, if you encounter anything unsatisfactory during your stay, do not hesitate to notify us. Your satisfaction remains our highest priority and concern."

With that, the man gestured toward those beneath him in rank. Immediately, the lower-ranked workers began distributing welcome gifts toward Asher and the rest of the students. Despite there being well over four hundred students in total, the Gentle Hotel had clearly prepared adequately beforehand.

Everyone accepted their gifts calmly, none of them immediately checked the contents of the bags they received. Instead, they simply held onto them while maintaining proper decorum and noble etiquette.

"My duties officially end here," the Commander stated as her eyes shifted toward FatelessPen. Her responsibility had merely been to escort them safely toward the Hotel.

"Thank you for your assistance," FatelessPen replied with a small smile, not bothering to act arrogant or superior.

"Enjoy your stay," the Commander responded before turning around and walking away alongside her soldiers. Her new mission now involved thoroughly investigating FatelessPen.

Watching the soldiers finally leave, the Hotel Manager smiled politely before speaking once more.

"Please, follow me," he gestured forward respectfully.

With that, the students began walking deeper into the Hotel, although they attempted maintaining composed expressions, it remained practically impossible to stay completely calm while witnessing so many unfamiliar and astonishing sights for the very first time.

Only Asher and FatelessPen remained genuinely indifferent.

One had already seen such things in his previous life.

The other had already experienced them during this one.
