Cleaver Of Sin
Chapter 1247: Azazel Versus Azaron
Azaron’s Nebula Affinity immediately came alive, and he vanished from where he was as space warped around him, allowing him to teleport directly behind Azazel. Upon appearing, he didn’t hesitate. His spear reappeared in his grasp as he unleashed a thrust towards Azazel’s heart.
Azazel’s animalistic instincts came alive, and his body twisted sideways through the darkness. However, he didn’t dodge completely, as he was only trying to protect his heart. Azaron’s spear tore through his stomach, piercing his small intestines and other organs.
Azazel’s expression didn’t twist in pain. Instead, he caught Azaron’s spear by the shaft with his left hand, then unleashed a punch with his other fist.
But Azaron was already gone, having teleported once more. His figure flickered behind Azazel yet again, his fist shooting upwards like a bullet. With a booming force, his fist struck Azazel’s back, the impact tearing through his body muscles.
Azazel’s body shot upwards, tearing through the Sinkhole and towards the sky. As he streaked through the air, the first effect of his ability worked its magic, instantly healing him of all his injuries.
Azazel’s eyes snapped towards the Sinkhole he had been punched out of. He moved to dive into it to meet Azaron, but before he could close the distance, a burning pillar of plasma screamed outwards from the Sinkhole, tearing towards Azazel’s position in the sky.
Azazel immediately changed direction, his body moving like that of a beast as he pounced through the air, dodging effectively while the pillar of plasma surged past him. The moment he dodged, his animalistic instincts activated once more, showing him a split second into the future.
The moment he saw the future, he moved once more, his body snapping in another direction. Just as he dodged yet again, Azaron’s spear tore outwards from the pillar of plasma he had just evaded, ripping through the space where his head had been. Azaron had been hiding within the pillar of plasma.
Azazel didn’t hesitate. The moment he dodged and Azaron appeared, he acted once more, attacking the exact position he had seen in the future where Azaron would be after attacking. His fist tore through the sky as he aimed for Azaron’s chin.
Although Azaron might not be able to see the future, he was anything but slow, and his senses were anything but dull. He simply vanished from where he stood, his body appearing above Azazel yet again, his spear stabbing downwards towards the man’s head.
Azazel’s head snapped to the side as he dodged, but Azaron’s spear still tore into his shoulder, sinking deeper and deeper.
Azaron’s grin widened as the Gases Affinity under his command came alive. The gases hummed around Ender, which was within Azazel’s body, and with a thought from Azaron, they exploded inside Azazel’s body with devastating power.
A titanic explosion rang outwards through the sky, its flames blazing in green, blue, purple, yellow, and orange as it bore various colours. Blood splattered everywhere, only for the intense heat in the air to erase it instantly. Flesh tore apart, but it was burned in tandem, leaving nothing untouched by the devastating explosion.
Azazel’s figure appeared in another direction, a frown visible on his face. As the smoke cleared, half of his upper torso was missing, as Azaron had blown it off without a shred of mercy.
Azazel didn’t need to guess to know that if it weren’t for his increased physical prowess, which granted him insane durability, speed, strength, and vitality, he would have died instantly.
His regeneration had already kicked in, and new organs were growing at a rapid rate, but Azaron wasn’t just going to stand and watch.
Space flickered as he appeared before his best friend. Without missing a beat, his spear spun over his shoulders as he unleashed a thousand thrusts within a split second, each aimed at the newly regenerated vital points as well as the old ones.
Seeing the incoming attack, Azazel didn’t bother meeting it head-on. He had only one hand at the moment and only half of his upper body. He couldn’t afford to be careless. His increased speed came alive, his Destruction ability increasing his base speed yet again.
But before he could move, Azaron locked him in place through Spatial Lock, pinning the man where he stood.
Azazel’s animalistic instincts screamed in his mind, warning him to move or die, as some of Azaron’s thrusts were aimed at his brain and heart. No amount of vitality would keep him alive after that.
His Astra Energy expanded outwards as he formed a dome around himself, then manipulated the ambient Astra Energy around Azaron’s thrusts to explode upon the thrusts themselves, thereby weakening their force and accuracy.
The explosion slammed into Azaron, his body skidding backwards for five meters as the power behind it was anything but weak. He had to admit it; the way Azazel had escaped that attack was genius. His animalistic instincts had forced him to find a way out, but it didn’t matter.
He tore through the smoke of the explosion, his body arriving before Azazel yet again. However, Azazel had already broken through the Spatial Lock by simply damaging space. The moment Azaron appeared, Azazel reacted with pure animalistic fury.
He clenched his fists, Astra Energy surging as the effects of Destruction granted him greater physical strength to cause even more destruction. Without a shred of hesitation, he unleashed an attack towards Azaron’s forehead, intending to burst his head open.
Azaron immediately raised his spear to block. The moment he did, he felt the force of the attack slam into his entire body. His arm broke at the elbow, then at the shoulder, with the fractures extending down his body as minor fractures occurred throughout his frame.
His Wargrave Physique couldn’t withstand that amount of sheer physical strength, even when augmented by Astra Energy. His body shot backwards like a ragdoll as pain consumed him.
His Light Affinity came alive to heal himself, but Azazel didn’t give him that chance. With his ridiculous speed, he closed the distance once more, his movement akin to teleportation. He brought down his fist again, this time aiming for Azaron’s chest.
Azaron knew he couldn’t take that attack head-on, or he might truly die. With a thought, his body vanished into the Second Layer of Space. The moment he dodged, Azazel’s ridiculously powerful punch met the ground.
The moment his fist struck the earth, the sound resembled an exploding war drum as everything within a million-kilometre radius was reduced to nothing but fragments of its former self.
Azaron didn’t care about the destruction. His body appeared midair beside Azazel, covered in Light Affinity. He had finished healing himself and was now using it to enhance his speed and strength simultaneously, allowing him to match this ridiculous best friend of his.
The moment he appeared, his Light-enhanced foot tore towards Azazel’s temples. Azazel’s reaction was ridiculous, his animalistic instincts saving him from attacks that should have inflicted far greater damage. When combined with his enhanced speed, the two abilities became even more ridiculous.
He vanished in a blur, dodging completely, his figure blitzing towards Azaron, his grin unmoving as he punched out once more. Azaron didn’t step back. He immediately landed, spun on his feet, and his fist shone bright yellow as he met Azazel’s punch head-on without taking a step back.
