Chapter 1151: Personal Tour Guide [GT Ranking Bonus Chapter]

"It seems the Tenth Sun has finally decided to grace us with his presence," a voice came from the side.

Asher turned his head in the direction of the voice, his purple eyes landing on a man who was bowing. The man rose upright with a smile on his face. Of course, he wasn’t bowing to Asher because he was a Wargrave, but simply because he was joking around.

As for why none of them were really surprised or cared about Asher’s status as a Noble, and a Wargrave at that, it was simply because there had been many Nobles at the Algorith Frontier. Everyone here had gotten used to seeing people from Noble families around, to the point that Nobles were regular people to them. Well, not that Nobles held any authority here to begin with.

Although the Wargraves were a different breed of Nobles, it still didn’t matter to the Soldiers at the Frontier, who were already desensitized to the presence of Nobles.

"I’m Cadet Parker, pleased to meet you." He stretched out a hand.

Asher stared at the hand for a moment, then stretched out his own and met Parker’s hand. As they shook hands, the man gestured forward, and together they began to walk around, Parker leading the way while Asher simply followed and looked around.

"So, how are you loving your first few hours at the Algorith Frontier?" Cadet Parker asked as he walked.

Asher stayed silent for a moment, then replied, "I have no thoughts or feelings towards anything at the moment."

Cadet Parker smiled. The other Cadets he had asked this question usually had different answers. Some were enthusiastic, some were happy and hopeful, while others were disappointed that they had to share rooms. But he kind of understood Cadet Asher. He was a Wargrave, and that bloodline only knew battle and nothing else.

"How long have you been at the Algorith Frontier?" Asher asked, his eyes shifting towards two women playing chess at the side.

Cadet Parker didn’t hesitate to answer. "I’ve been here for about nine months, so I’ve been a Cadet the entire time." He gave a weak smile as he answered.

Asher arched an eyebrow as he asked, "Is the contribution needed to become a Corporal that high?"

Cadet Parker shook his head as he spoke. "It’s really not. It’s just that not everyone is talented. Even though some of us awaken, we are just barely above average people," he explained.

Asher stayed silent for a moment, then nodded, saying nothing further in that regard. He understood that every society, organization, and structure needed people at the bottom. Without people at the bottom, there was almost no way those at the top could function without disturbances and smoothly. So, although Cadets might hold the lowest Rank, they were certainly pulling their own weight. Even the Miscellaneous Group were pulling their own weight.

"You can take me as your personal tour guide for today," Cadet Parker spoke. "Any questions you have, just fire away, and I will answer to the best of my knowledge," he stated.

Asher stared at Cadet Parker for a moment, reading the guy’s emotions. After a moment, he spoke calmly.

"I’m guessing that Corporal Gideon is the one who introduced the Cadet residence to you." His tone remained calm as he spoke. "If there is anything he didn’t say that day but you know of now, enlighten me."

Cadet Parker seemed to fall into his thoughts for a moment, then began to speak. "Meals are at 5 a.m., 3 p.m., and 11 p.m. If you want to eat at any time that isn’t within these set times, you pay for the food." He paused for a moment, then added, "Although I would have shown you the cafeteria, it is in another direction of the building." He spoke as they walked.

"And just so you know, the Miscellaneous Group doesn’t dress our beds, clean the room, or do anything of the sort. We do that ourselves as Cadets. Corporal Gideon runs an inspection every morning, and if he finds anywhere dirty, he fines the entire room a few silver coins," he added as they walked. "Although, as the son of a Duke, I guess money won’t be an issue for you," he mused.

Asher couldn’t help but give a small smile at that last part. But he couldn’t help but feel as though Corporal Gideon was skimming money from the Soldiers. But anyway, it wasn’t like the Soldiers didn’t know how to stop giving their money away. So, at the end of the day, it was their fault.

"Also, every three months, the Algorith Frontier brings men and women from various brothels across the Empire so that Soldiers can relieve stress," Cadet Parker added.

At his words, Asher was stunned for a moment. He couldn’t believe that the Third Great Elders were willing to bring prostitutes to the Algorith Frontier.

Seeing Asher’s stunned expression, Cadet Parker gave a small laugh as he spoke. "Yeah, I was stunned too when I was told at first."

Asher couldn’t help but ask, "Aren’t you all afraid of dying from sexually transmitted diseases or infections?"

Although he believed that, with the insane amount of vitality that the people of Crymora possessed, regular Earth-type sexually transmitted diseases and infections wouldn’t work, at the same time, he knew that organisms would adapt and evolve to match the power level and scale of this world.

It was just like how Viscount Raymond had died of a drug overdose, and the man had been at the Voidstar Life Rank. Surely, something like cocaine from Earth couldn’t kill a man of that level.

So, his thoughts about people actually being affected by STDs and STIs were justified.

Cadet Parker shook his head as he spoke. "Nah! No need to worry about that. We always get healed and checked after we’re done, and the women and men are always checked before they are brought here."

Asher stayed silent for a moment, then nodded. He didn’t plan on joining these Soldiers in sleeping with unknown people, although he wasn’t judging them.

’I wonder what Acker’s view on sex is,’ Asher thought to himself with an amused tone.

"How about a game of chess to loosen up?" Cadet Parker suggested. "Although you have no money since Corporal Gideon must have confiscated it, we will bet with your next month’s wage." A smile appeared on his lips.

Asher stayed silent for a moment, then gave a smile and nodded. Since Cadet Parker had suggested it, he might as well just take the money that was offered to him free of charge, no?
