Chapter 62: Chapter 62 Eclipse

"Huh?" Lars was stupefied.

He was currently standing in front of the Dungeon Hub when Melodie suddenly told him that she wanted to bring him to her house.

Lars didn’t know whether he should feel excited or nervous. After all, Melodie was the daughter of one of the top businessmen in the state. He was basically being invited to the home of a powerful man.

Not long after, a luxurious black sedan arrived in front of him. A bodyguard stepped out and opened the door for Lars.

During the entire journey, Lars remained silent. This was his first time sitting inside such a luxurious car.

His sister’s car was a sports car, which was completely different from this. The leather seat was so soft and comfortable that Lars nearly fell asleep.

Soon, the car passed through a large gate before entering an enormous yard. It finally came to a stop in front of the massive house. When Lars stepped out, he was completely stunned.

"Is this a mansion... or a palace?!"

The house was nearly three stories tall and stretched far across both sides. And then, to make things even more overwhelming, several maids and servants suddenly lined up and bowed toward him.

"You finally arrived!"Melodie happily welcomed him as she walked toward him.

"Hey, Melodie, do we really need to discuss business here? I feel totally out of place," Lars admitted honestly.

"What are you talking about?" Melodie giggled. "Come inside. I’ve already prepared some food for you."

Lars followed her. As they walked along the hallway, he couldn’t help but stare at all the beautiful decorations and elegant designs around him. His mouth remained slightly open the entire time.

Soon, they entered a large dining room. Lars sat in the chair beside Melodie as the servants began bringing the food to the table.

Everything looked incredibly appetizing. He immediately started eating. Once he realized how delicious the food was, he quickly forgot about his manners and began eating as much as he could.

Melodie smiled as she watched him eat. Later, the two of them sat inside a pavilion in the middle of the field near the lake behind the mansion.

"Melodie, your mansion is really large and beautiful," Lars said.

"It isn’t mine. It’s my family’s mansion."

"Speaking of that, where is the rest of your family?" Lars asked.

"They’re all on vacation out of state. I’m the only one who didn’t go. Alright, enough questions about me. Show me the Class Books." Melodie said.

Lars then brought out the classes she had requested. Four Class Books were placed in front of her. Melodie immediately picked up the Radiant Paladin and Gale Bowmaster Class Books and examined them.

A smile soon appeared on her face.

"This is exactly what I wanted. You really did a great job," Melodie said.

One thing Lars felt comfortable about when dealing with Melodie was that she never asked where he got the Class Books. If it were someone else, they would have probably asked a million questions already.

That was one of the reasons Lars was willing to do business with her.

"What about my personal request? Did you get it?" Melodie asked, looking at Lars with a hopeful expression.

"Sorry, but I couldn’t get the class you wanted." Lars shook his head.

"I see. Maybe that request was too difficult. Sorry for making things difficult for you."

Melodie looked down at the Class Books. Although she was smiling, Lars could tell she was a little disappointed. Then suddenly, Lars pushed another Class Book toward her.

"What is this?"

Melodie looked at the Class Book. Her eyes immediately widened, and she covered her mouth with her hand.

"This... this!"

She was almost speechless. As she read through the Class Book’s details, she realized just how absurdly powerful it was. It was a Rare-rank class, yet it contained 11 skills, one of the highest numbers of skills she had ever seen in a Rare-rank class.

"Is... is this for me?!" She still couldn’t believe it.

"Yup. Why? If you don’t like it, then give it back to me." Lars reached out to take the Class Book back.

"No! I want it!" Melodie immediately hugged the Class Book against her chest.

"But this class, it looks really powerful. And it even uses a Moon Rhythm mechanic. I really want to ask where you got it, but I already promised not to ask. So, thank you very much, Lars." She smiled brightly at him.

"Thank me after you test the class first. I’m curious to see what it’s capable of," Lars said.

He honestly hadn’t tried the class himself yet, as he had considered it to be a class specifically for Melodie, similar to the Skyfall Justiciar he had given to Max.

"Got it!"

Melodie opened the Class Book and closed her eyes. The book dissolved into particles before being absorbed into Melodie.

Suddenly, out of nowhere, the daylight turned into night. Lars panicked for a moment.

He looked up and saw the moon covering the sun before it disappeared. The strange phenomenon only lasted for a few seconds.

"What the heck? What was that?!"

"Hmm? Is there something wrong?" Melodie asked as she opened her eyes as the class change now complete.

Lars scratched his head in confusion.

’Was that an eclipse just now? Was it just a coincidence, or did it happen because she changed her class? ’ Lars wondered to himself.

"No. Nothing," Lars said.

Melodie then walked closer to the lake. She equipped a long, thin white sword in her left hand. She brought the blade close to her nose and closed her eyes. She remained like that for a few seconds.

Then, suddenly, she opened her eyes and swung her sword.

"Moonbreak!"

BOOM!!!

A massive explosion shook the ground, nearly causing Lars to fall over. He then looked ahead in shock. The small lake was now completely empty, with all the fish scattered across the ground.

"Lars..." Melodie muttered. Then she turned toward him with a cute smile.

"I love this class!"
