Class Creator:I Can Create Infinite Classes
Chapter 60 Negotiating
Chapter 60: Chapter 60 Negotiating
At 10 a.m. the next morning, Lars arrived at Lovey Dovey Cafe in the business district of District 22. He was wearing the best outfit he had in his closet.
After Lars called Melodie the previous night, she decided it would be better for them to meet face to face. And she was the one who chose this cafe.
However, as Lars walked past the other customers, he quickly noticed something they all had in common.
’They’re all couples!’
Some were holding hands with their partners. Some were hugging each other. A few were even kissing, causing Lars to quickly avert his eyes.
’Why the hell did she want to meet me here?!’
Then as he looked around, he finally saw Melodie raising her hands on the air. Lars immediately walk past few tables and sit opposite of her. There is a large purple icecream in front of Melodie.
"Hey, Melodie! Was there really no other place you could have chosen to meet? This place is for couples! People are going to misunderstand if they see the two of us here," Lars said.
"Hmm? Don’t mind them. I chose this place because they have the best ice cream. You should try it," Melodie said as she put another spoonful into her mouth.
A waitress then came over to their table. Lars looked through the menu before deciding to give it a try.
"I will have the strawberry ice cream."
After the waitress walked away, Melodie put her ice cream aside before turning to face Lars.
"Now, why did you finally decide to agree after all this time? Did something happen?" Melodie suddenly asked.
"No. Nothing happened. It’s just... I felt bad for making you wait so long for my decision," Lars replied. He didn’t want her to know about his current predicament with the Dungeon Hub.
"Alright. Then let’s get straight to business. As I told you before, I want four classes: Tank, Mage, Archer, and Frontline Fighter."
"For the Mage and Frontline Fighter, it’s enough if you can sell me Ice Warlock and Tempest Duelist. Meanwhile, for the Tank, I want a buff-heavy type. And for the Archer, I want an elemental class, preferably one based on wind."
Lars frowned when he heard her requests.
"Your requests for the Tank and Archer are pretty specific. I don’t know if I can find classes like that." Lars said.
Although he could find a way to create those classes, he didn’t want to give Melodie any reason to suspect that he could actually create Class Books himself.
"It’s okay if you can’t get them, but at least now you know what type of classes I’m looking for," Melodie said.
"May I ask why you want all these classes? Are you planning to sell them?" Lars asked.
"Not really. I actually have a party consisting entirely of women. We frequently raid dungeons together, so I want them to have better classes."
"So you’re the one paying for their classes?"
Melodie nodded as she continued eating her ice cream.
"Wow. What a nice friend you are. They must be lucky to have you. Although, don’t you think they’re just using you to buy classes for them?" Lars asked.
Melodie chuckled.
"There’s no way. We’ve been friends for many years, ever since high school. We get along really well."
Lars listened to her answer. The waitress then arrived and placed the strawberry ice cream Lars had ordered on the table. Lars immediately picked up a spoon. His eyes widened as the ice cream melted in his mouth.
"This is good!"
"What did I tell you?" Melodie smiled as she watched Lars quickly take another spoonful.
"I actually have one more request. The class I bought from you before, Lunar Blader, is actually really good, and I think I have already mastered it."
"But as the dungeons we enter become harder and harder, it seems like Lunar Blader is starting to fall behind. So, do you have any classes that you can sell me with mechanics similar to Lunar Blader, but stronger?" Melodie asked.
Lars was surprised as he listened to Melodie. He then recalled the first day he obtained the Class Creator class. Melodie was the first person to ever buy one of his Class Books.
And Lunar Blader was the first class he had ever created, and the class he was most comfortable with.
’I am suprised that she still sticks with that class. I thought she would have already bought a new class and replaced it. It’s only a Common-rank class, after all.’
Lars was genuinely amazed by Melodie. Then, an idea suddenly came to him.
"Alright! I think I might have a class that would be suitable for you," Lars said.
"Is that so? Thank you, Lars!" Melodie happily clapped her hands.
"You promised you will pay above the market price, right? Don’t go back on your word."
"Don’t worry. I’m someone who always keeps my promises."
"And one more thing, can you give me an advance payment first? Once I find the classes you want, you can pay me the remaining amount," Lars said.
"Sure. No problem. How much do you want? And when can you give me those classes?"
Lars thought for a moment.
’I have already paid for three doses of Celine’s medication. Today is the second dose. To create all the classes Melodie wants, I will also need some time for my Creation Points to recover before I can create the next classes. Alright. I have made my decision.’
"I will need 200,000 Zents as an advance payment. I think I will need about three days to find the classes you’re looking for," Lars said.
"That works for me. Send me your bank account details. I will transfer it right now," Melodie replied casually, as if 200,000 Zents were nothing to her.
’Rich people really are different.’
"See you later."
After receiving the payment, Melodie immediately excused herself. Lars, meanwhile, had no reason to rush out of the cafe.
For one thing, he still hadn’t finished his ice cream. And for another...he wanted to create the new classes immediately.
