Chapter 30: Chapter 30 Easy

"There’s no way you can beat the boss alone, Lars! Let me... help you." Max tried to stand as he saw Lars already opening the Boss Room door.

"It’s alright, Max. In that condition, you will just get in the way. Just rest and watch me in action. Justin, please look after him," Lars told Justin before stepping toward the center of the Boss Room.

Justin nodded at him. But of course, he still didn’t forget to set up his tripod for the boss battle.

"That guy! He’s going to get himself killed!" Max clenched his teeth.

"I don’t think you need to worry. I’ve cleared dozens of dungeons with him before. Fighting bosses alone is something he’s done many times. Just watch and see for yourself," Justin said to Max while adjusting his equipment.

Max fell silent after hearing that.

He had completely forgotten about that point. Lars had told him that before meeting Max again, he had already been clearing dungeons with just Justin, who basically did nothing except record everything.

Maybe...Lars wasn’t what Max had expected.

At the center of the Boss Room, Lars stood alone. Right now, he was equipped with Lunar Blader, the first class he had ever created.

Suddenly, the ground shook as a massive figure walked toward Lars. It had the shape of a gorilla and stood nearly four meters tall. Its blood-red eyes locked onto him.

"I’ve been thinking about this the whole time. How the hell monkeys and gorillas are the monsters inside these floating ruins? It doesn’t make any sense!"

The boss roared and thumped its chest before charging straight at Lars.

Lars immediately used Lunar Step to evade the attack. After successfully dodging it, he moved to the boss’s side and unleashed Silver Arc followed by Twin Crescent.

Both skills generated Moon Rhythm stacks, increasing his Attack Speed and Critical Hit Rate.

This was the main mechanic of the Lunar Blader class. And Lars had already become quite familiar with its fighting style, often using it whenever he wanted to clear enemies quickly.

The boss roared in pain before swinging its massive hand toward Lars. Lars used Lunar Step again, appearing on the other side of the boss before attacking with his skills and basic attacks.

He repeated the same pattern over and over again. The boss had no chance to land even a single hit on him. After a few minutes, Lars finally dashed several meters away from the boss and looked at it with a grin.

Everything was ready. He had already accumulated 50 stacks of Moon Rhythm. Lars raised his sword toward the sky before activating his ultimate skill.

"Lunar Annihilation!"

His figure suddenly vanished.

Slash! Slash! Slash!

Multiple slashes tore across the boss’s body from every direction, leaving it unable to react. Lars then leaped high above its head before thrusting his sword downward.

BAM!

The blade struck directly into the boss’s head. Its massive body trembled for a moment before collapsing heavily onto the ground.

"It is... too easy. Is it because of my skill, or is it because of the class?" Lars muttered as he looked at the sword in his hand with its blade covered in blood.

On the other side, Max was shocked by what he had just witnessed, while Justin casually talked to his fans.

"Alright! That’s all for now, everyone. Please wait for another boss fight!" Justin then turned toward Max.

"Didn’t I tell you? He’s actually good. If not, my subscribers wouldn’t have grown this much in such a short time. Hahaha!" Justin laughed.

Lars then suddenly noticed a Class Book dropped by the boss. He immediately jumped down from the boss and grabbed it.

"Skyfall Swordfighter? Is this the class Max is searching for?" he muttered as he looked at the Class Book’s details. It was a Rare-rank class.

"Hey, Max! What’s the name of the class you want?" he shouted toward him from the other side.

"It’s Skyfall Swordfighter! Did the boss drop it?" Max’s eyes widened with expectation.

"Sorry, man. It dropped a Class Book, but not the one you mentioned," Lars lied.

"Ahh... I see." Max’s voice sounded disappointed.

The reason why Lars lied was simple. Even though this class looked good, it was still lackluster compared to even the Uncommon classes he had created.

"Now it’s time to test my new skill!" Lars smiled.

"Extract Class!"

Lars’s right hand started glowing blue as a strange diagram appeared on his palm. He then placed his hand on the Class Book.

The book glowed with blue light for a moment before dispersing into countless particles.

Lars’s eyes widened.

"I see. So the Class Book disappears after I use this skill. I need to keep that in mind."

He then immediately opened the Generate Class interface and looked at all the features he currently had.

"Skyfall Onslaught?! That sure sounds powerful. And it’s also Rare rank! Will it increase my chances of creating a higher-rank class?"

Lars immediately started selecting the features. Since Max was used to sword-based classes, Lars chose Swordsman as the Base Class.
