"Good afternoon, everyone! Thank you for picking me up."

Justin quickly entered through the back door and took a seat. Sitting in the middle, he leaned forward.

"Hello. You must be the one Lars told me about just now. My name is Justin. Nice to meet you." He offered his hand.

"Max. Nice to meet you too." Max shook Justin’s hand. "Wait... why does your name sound familiar?"

"Is that so? Where did you hear it?" Justin asked as he leaned closer to Max, causing Max to lean backward.

"I-I don’t remember."

"Then let me tell you who I am..."

"Alright, Justin, that can wait! We need to move now," Lars interrupted.

"Okay!" Justin immediately turned around and started checking all his belongings in the back.

Max, who had already started driving, widened his eyes at Lars as he tried to process what had just happened.

"I told you!" Lars whispered to him.

After about 25 minutes of driving, Max arrived at a massive building in the centre of District 22. Inside, countless large portals were arranged in uniform rows.

"Wow! So this is Megalopolis! I’ve only heard about it before. They say this place houses nearly a thousand portals leading to different dungeons," Justin said as he looked around while recording everything.

Lars was also astonished by the sight. It was like a supermarket, but for dungeons. Ten floors were stacked above one another, each filled with rows of portals.

Meanwhile, on the ground floor, a massive expo-like event was being held in the central area. Thousands of people moved through the building, making it slightly difficult for them to even walk around.

"Why did you bring us here, Max? Why don’t we just go to the Plaza in District 21? I still have some dungeons there that I haven’t raided yet," Lars asked.

For every dungeon he cleared for the first time, his maximum Creation Points would increase by one. So, he wanted to raid as many dungeons as possible. His current target was to raise his Max CP to 50, and he was already halfway there with 25.

He had once asked his class system why the growth of his class was related to clearing dungeons, but the system remained silent. Maybe it was something he would never know.

"I chose this place because it has more rewarding dungeons. The place you usually go to is mostly for beginners. This place contains dungeons from Rank 1 all the way to Rank 10. And besides, after we finish a dungeon run, we can rent a room here to rest before continuing," Max said as he pointed toward one of the shops offering rooms for hunters.

"During my early years as a hunter, whenever I was short on money, I would rent one of those rooms and raid as many dungeons as I could. It really brings back memories." Max smiled as he recalled his past experiences.

"So, are we doing a marathon today? Like, 24 hours of dungeon raiding?" Justin asked as he turned toward Max and recorded him.

"I’m open to that. It’s been a long time since I’ve done something like this." Max then turned toward Lars.

"Alright! Let’s do it!" Lars agreed excitedly.

The three of them rented a room with three beds and air conditioning. After putting away all their belongings, they entered the dungeon chosen by Max, Skyfall Ruins.

As soon as they entered, they found themselves standing on floating ruins near the entrance. Lars and Justin cautiously peeked over the edge and looked downward.

"So high!" Justin exclaimed as they saw what looked like tiny continents far below them.

"Be careful! If you fall from here, you can’t be revived using a Revive Crystal," Max warned.

Lars and Justin immediately backed away from the edge and followed Max deeper into the ruins.

"This dungeon has 50 floors. It has one of the highest floor counts among Rank 5 dungeons."

"50 Floors?!" Lars was surprised. "Even clearing this one dungeon will take hours to complete."

"Hahaha! There’s actually a reason I chose this one. Every 10 floors, there’s a boss we need to face. I think it’s a great way to teach you some of the basics of dungeoning," Max said.

"And plus... there’s a Class Book I want from here. If one of the bosses drops it, I will be very happy."

"Class Book? What class is it?" Lars quickly asked.

"Just wait and see." Max smiled before continuing forward.

Meanwhile, Justin had already started his livestream.

"Hello, guys! Today, we’re doing a special stream. It’s called the 24-Hour Marathon with Justin!"

"Hey, Lars. Can that guy actually fight?" Max asked.

"I don’t know. I’ve never seen him fight even once."

"Then why do you always invite him to raid with you? Or does he pay you to clear dungeons while he streams?"

"No. He doesn’t pay me anything." Lars rubbed his chin. "Hmmm... now that you ask me that, I’m wondering why too. Maybe I just want some company inside the dungeon? That guy talks a lot, so I don’t get bored when he’s around," Lars said.

"There’s also a reason like that..." Max was left speechless.

Then suddenly, a group of monsters appeared. They were monkey-like creatures wearing robes and wielding spears. There were around 20 of them standing in their way.

"Alright, Lars. What class are you going to use this time?" Max asked. He now knew all the classes Lars currently possessed, as Lars had no problem telling him about them.

"Blazing Archmage!" Lars shouted as he equipped the class.

"Now, as a mage, you’re a ranged damage dealer, so make sure to keep your distance from the enemy."

"Okay!" Lars nodded.

"I will go first! Try to follow my lead, Lars." Max raised his sword and charged toward the monsters. They immediately targeted Max as he drew their attention.

"Inferno Burst!"

Lars snapped his fingers, and a massive pillar of flame erupted among the monsters, engulfing half of them in a fiery explosion.

Max then quickly cut down the remaining monsters.

They quickly cleared the floors as they ascended through the ruins. However, Max began to notice that his damage was becoming less and less effective as they climbed higher.

His Sword Knight was a specialized class with more defensive skills compared to offensive ones. Max had chosen this class because he wanted to increase his survivability. But the more he used it, the more he realized that his class was lacking in terms of damage.

It was crazy to think that only two hunters were clearing a dungeon that usually required at least five. But Max believed that since Lars could switch his class depending on the situation, Lars alone could practically cover the roles of the other four party members.

So, he decided to try his luck.

Luckily, teaming up with Lars proved to be the right choice. Right now, Lars was running wild across the dungeon, massacring every monster in their path.

As they defeated the first boss on Floor 10, a notification suddenly appeared in Lars’s system.

[Creator Level increased to Level 3!]

"Finally!" Lars shouted excitedly.

But when he looked at the new feature he had just unlocked, his excitement quickly turned into surprise.
