Claimed by the Mad Lycan King
Chapter 190: YOU ARE BEING DISRESPECTFUL
Oliver grabbed Diane’s hair and forced her to look at him. "You are going to listen to what I said and play along with it. Just because you got a second chance with this new body, you can’t do whatever you please."
Diane shot him a dagger-like glare. "I know what I have to do. That pretty devil had told me my role; you don’t need to come and remind me again. I am sick of you."
"Do you think I want to be here?" Oliver tightened his grip on her hair, making sure it hurt. "I would like to have someone else as my woman instead of having you for the second time, so cooperate with me and shut the fuck up."
"Oh, you don’t need to see me every day and every time, just to make everyone believe we have a thing. Our chemistry is unmatched; I am sure we can light up the romance between us again. We were mates before this, weren’t we?"
Oliver yanked her hair even more, but Diane refused to let out a whimper; she wouldn’t give Oliver the satisfaction.
"Careful, this is a human body. I can’t heal as fast as when I was a shifter, so you need to be gentle with me, just in case my dear father comes to see me and he sees bruises on me. How will I explain that?" Diane chuckled. "Be gentle with me, Oliver. I will be your future fiancé again. The devil will not be happy to see how you treat me either."
Oliver was tempted to slap her again, but in the end, he chose to let go of her hair, though not without a harsh push of her head, making Diane feel dizzy.
"Bastard."
"I only want you to know that if you can’t convince your father of our relationship, then I have to force that by impregnating you. That’s what the devil ordered to make the situation less complicated." Oliver smirked with malice. "Count this as a repayment because you couldn’t give me a child in the past."
Diane’s eyes turned slightly red with anger. "Fuck you, Daven."
"Oliver. Remember that. Daven and Eudora are dead."

Seara had to be in the morning meeting, and she emphasized to Ace the importance of making sure that none of the alphas were compromised.
This was particularly crucial, especially now, given that Ace had briefed the other alphas on what had happened to King Altair and Zade’s current whereabouts. Kaleb was also present to clarify the situation, but both royal betas were strictly prohibited from disclosing any information about Seara’s abilities to the alphas. This precaution was essential in case one of the alphas fell into the devils’ hands and the devils learned the knowledge from their memories.
"King Altair has fallen to the enemy’s hands, and we are going to sit here and do nothing?!" There was an uproar among them; they were not happy.
They had been very agitated since the first attack and didn’t agree with the Lycans’ decision to hold back until the negotiation happened.
"King Zade becomes weak because he has a weak mate." One of the frustrated alphas threw shade at Seara.
He was Alpha Bryan from the Moonlight Pack. He looked young, probably the second youngest after Alpha Matt, who had just lost his father recently, Alpha Oscar.
"What are you going to do then?" Seara asked; her voice was small, but it was enough to make them quiet down, since they rarely heard her speak.
Even when she had an idea, it would be Jeremy, Ace, or Zephyr who would explain it to all of them, while Zade would add details on it.
"What?" Alpha Bryan narrowed his eyes. He looked at her up and down, as if he was surprised that Seara could actually talk.
"What do you want to do?" Seara repeated the question. She was used to people talking badly about her, but if it affected her mate, she couldn’t accept that. "Kill those humans and go straight into madness? That’s your idea of taking revenge?"
Alpha Bryan was not happy with the way Seara talked. He stood up aggressively, and out of instinct, Ace stood as well; he was sitting next to Seara in Zade’s stead.
"I don’t talk with someone who is not even a shifter."
"Watch your words, Alpha Bryan," Ace hissed viciously.
"Am I wrong? Can you call her a shifter when she can’t even shift? We call her a runt, and they are not favored by the moon goddess." And as if Alpha Bryan was enlightened, his eyes widened. "That’s right. The moon goddess had taken away her wolf spirit, and a runt is a sign of bad luck. We are in our current state because of her. All of this catastrophe began the moment King Zade took her in."
"Alpha Bryan! You have crossed the line!" Ace growled dangerously. His words were misleading, and even if the other alphas didn’t believe that initially, at a time like this, such words could be a slow-acting poison.
"A runt is bad luck; that’s what we have believed for a long time." Alpha Bryan stood his ground; he didn’t mind facing Ace. It was a good thing that King Zade was not here.
"A runt is bad luck?" Seara gritted her teeth; she was unfazed as she glared at the alpha. "Let’s see if you will become bad luck too after a few drops of poison that kill your wolf spirit. Do you want to try?"
Alpha Bryan scoffed derisively. "Stop acting like you are someone important. You don’t even deserve to be in this room."
"Alpha Bryan, I think you have gone too far," Alpha Matt said. He frowned uncomfortably. This was his first morning meeting, and he didn’t expect this tension.
"You don’t have a say in this. You are not even ready to be an alpha." Alpha Bryan nodded at the young alpha.
"Enough. You are being disrespectful, Alpha Bryan." Seara stood up.
